Bali Rainbow Community to Host World AIDS Day Event

at Royal Beach Seminyak on Monday, December 1, 2014

H E L D each year s ince 1988, World AIDS Day sees peo-ple around the world uni ng in the fight against HIV. The day is used to educate people about how HIV is spread; campaign against HIV discrimina on and prejudice in the community; show support for those afflicted with HIV and to remember those who have died from the disease.

A Global Health Day – World AIDS Day first and foremost reminds the world that an es-

mated 34 million people are living with HIV and that more than 35 million people have died from the virus, making HIV the most devasta ng pandemic in world history.

Bali’s Rainbow Commu-nity is organizing the Island’s commemora on of World AIDS Day via an evening full of enter-tainment from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. at The Royal Beach Seminyak.

KSIRAARNAWA Stage at the Art Center Denpasar became a witness of the inaugura on of the Tri Hita Karana (THK) Sympathe c PR 2014. Having un-dergone wri en test and interview, the twelve finalists were then faced with the announcement of the winners. Coincid-ing with the night conferment of the

Tri Hita Karana Awards & Accredita on falling on Saturday (Nov 29), the winners were an-nounced by representa-

ves of the jury of the THK Sympathe c PR 2014 comprising Lenny Pande (tourism media prac oner), Dewi Sinta (hospi-tality prac oner) and Sukma Awantari (hospitality prac oner).

Appearing elegantly in tradi onal Balinese a res, 12 finalists were not able to hide their anxiety while wai ng for the announcement of the winners. Putu Juliani, Customer Service Supervisor of Bali Safari & Marine Park was named the first winner of the THK Sympathe c PR 2014, Ni Luh Gede Kusumayan , Chief Re-cep on of The Breezes Bali Resort & Spa went to the second winner and then the third winner to I Gus Agung Ayu Mirah Marhaendra, Public Rela ons Manager of Discovery Kar ka Plaza.

Other than looking for the first to the third winner, the THK Sympathe c PR 2014 also announced three favorite finalists coming to Ni Nyoman Suar ni, Assistant F & B Manager of The Elysian Bou que Villa Hotel (first favorite), Bianca Rosseta, Sales and Marke ng Manager of

Grand Istana Rama Hotel (second favorite) and Ni Putu Anita Lestari (third favorite).

Each of the twelve finalists received a cer fi-cate presented by Chair-man of the THK Bali Foun-da on, Wisnu Wardana. Meanwhile, the six win-ners obtained a cer ficate, a sash and a flower bou-quet directly submi ed by Mrs. Pas ka.
