TEXT 1The symptoms of hay fever include watery and

itchy eyes and a runny, congested nose. People suffering from hay fever may experience occasional wheezing and repeated bouts of sneezing and may even lose their sense of smell. Some victims of hay fever may also have stopped-up ears. About 30 percent of those who suffer from hay fever may develop the symptoms associated with periodic asthma or a sinus infection. The allergen-antibody theory does not fully explain allergic reactions because the membranes and glands in eyes and ears are controlled by the independent nervous system, which keeps these organs in balance. TEXT 2Vitamin D deficiency is traditionally dealt with bone and muscle weakness. However, in recent years, a number of studies have shown that low levels of the vitamin may predispose the body to high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and chronic blood vessel inflammation (associated with hardening of the arteries). It also alters hormone levels to increase insulin resistance, which raises the risk of diabetes. In a review article published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, researchers surveyed recent studies on the link between vitamin D deficiency and heart disease to come up with practical advice on screening and treatment. They concluded that vitamin D deficiency is much more common than previously thought, affecting up to half of adults and apparently healthy children in the U.S. Researchers say higher rates of vitamin D efficiency may be due in part to people spending more time indoors and efforts to minimize sun exposure through the use of sunscreens. Joining the online information revolution of the computer literate has made it possible for us to communicate with millions of people around the world. But whether we’re sending electronic mail to the office next door or broadcasting our opinions to a global audience on the internet, we now need to learn some digital manners!

A recent survey shows that hiding behind a computer gives many timid people the opportunity to say exactly what they like. These people seem to forget all they have ever been taught or have learnt about how to deal with others, and they adopt a completely different and unsuitable tone when communicating digitally. In fact, their tone is really quite rude!

The messages themselves have become extremely informal. There is no need to put an address at the top and the tone is always chatty and friendly. But it has gone much further than that. Minor spelling mistakes have now become quite acceptable in email, whereas it isn’t acceptable to spell any words wrongly in a normal business letter.

But be careful! This informal style can cause problems. Although emails are more like a conversation than a written letter, in fact they often sound stronger, because the words are written down. So watch out-even if you didn’t mean to be rude, your email might sound it!

There’s a lot more advice around about how to make emails sound right, but I’d say the best two to remember are “Don’t try to be too funny or sarcastic” and “Don’t send messages when you are angry!”

of computers, is the number one modern method to communicate and get information. Our generation uses the internet to talk online (chatting) with relatives, friend, or strangers. Young people know how to send messages and get instant responses from one or more people at a time. But this chatting is becoming totally fraud. Chatting is spoiling our younger generation.

To be in contact with our relations all over the world is an advantage. You get to keep up with the latest information, exchange ideas, and not to feel alone. But I think that because of how some people are using the Internet, chatting has become more of a disadvantage.

Typical of our younger generation guys want to make friendships with girls – in real life or online. Guys want to chat with girls. If a guy finds out the email address of a girl he is attracted to, or he receives a friendly message from someone that appears attracted to him, he’ll add the message sender’s name and e-mail address to his on-line “address book.” The assumption, of course, is that the person on the other end of the message is a girl.

However, many guys seem to think it’s funny to pretend that they are girls and make up e-mail addresses with girl’s names. They laugh at other people who fall for their mean jokes. They enjoy playing with the emotions of others. There are even growing numbers of girls doing the same thing to girls-pretending to be guys.

Due to this mean spirited form of chatting, the innocent hearts of many people have been broken and now they have lost their trust in using the internet.

What causes people to act this way? Why waste so much energy and precious time purposely, ruining people’s lives? I’m asking those that do this, don’t do it anymore
