KATA PENGANTAR
Segala puji dan syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas segala berkat dan
karuniaNya sehingga penulis dapat mengerjakan laporan perancangan tugas akhir
yang berjudul “Perancangan Identitas Visual Museum Prangko Indonesia”.
Perancangan laporan ini didasari oleh ketertarikan penulis akan proses pembuatan
branding untuk Museum Prangko Indonesia yang dimulai dari awal sampai akhir.
Dalam perancangan ini, penulis berkesempatan merancangan brand
identity untuk Museum Prangko Indonesia. Museum Prangko merupakan museum
koleksi peninggalan prangko yang bersejarah dan penting untuk budaya
Indonesia. Penulis belajar untuk menerapkan ilmu dunia perkuliahan secara
fleksibel dan adaptif pada perancangan ini. Penulis juga berharap dengan adanya
laporan ini, penulis dapat memberikan informasi kepada pembaca yang tertarik
untuk mengunjungi dan mempelajari lebih banyak mengenai sejarah dan nilai
budaya dari prangko-prangko yang berada di museum ini.
Di kesempatan ini, penulis ingin menyampaikan rasa terima kasihnya
kepada berbagai pihak yang telah mendukung proses pembuatan laporan tugas
akhir ini, sebagai berikut:

ABSTRAKSI
Museum Prangko Indonesia merupakan museum dengan koleksi-koleksi prangko
di Indonesia maupun internasional yang menyimpan nilai-nilai sejarah serta
budaya yang berharga. Sayangnya, museum ini tidak memiliki brand identity
yang jelas sehingga tidak ada brand image yang bisa didapatkan dari museum ini.
Hal ini menyebabkan sepinya pengunjung museum karena kurangnya awareness
akan adanya museum tersebut. Adapun permasalahan yang dikaji yaitu:
Bagaimana merancang brand image untuk Museum Prangko Indonesia? Metode
penelitian yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah metode kuantitatif, yaitu
wawancara, observasi, dan studi eksisting. Brand image adalah persepsi merek
dari benak konsumer yang dapat berupa keyakinan, ide, dan kesan-kesan terhadap
merek. Elemen pendukung dalam menciptakan brand image disebut sebagai
brand identity, identitas visual dari seluruh artikulasi brand. Maka, penting bagi
suatu brand memiliki brand image yang kuat dan konsisten untuk
mempertahankan kelangsungan brand tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penulis
merancang brand identity dari Museum Prangko Indonesia sebagai tugas akhir
agar dapat memberika brand image kepada masyarakat sehingga dapat
meningkatkan brand awareness dari masyarakat terhadap museum tersebut.

ABSTRACT
The Indonesian Stamps Museum is a museum with a collection of stamps in
Indonesia and internationally that stores valuable historical and cultural values.
Unfortunately, this museum does not have a clear brand identity so no brand
image can be obtained from this museum. This causes the lack of visitors to the
museum due to lack of awareness of the existence of the museum. The problem
examined is: How to design a brand image for the Indonesian Stamp Museum?
The research method used in this design is quantitative, namely interviews,
observations, and existing studies. Brand image is the brand perception of the
consumer mind that can be in the form of beliefs, ideas, and impressions of the
brand. Supporting elements in creating a brand image are called brand identity,
the visual identity of all brand articulation. So, a brand needs to have a strong
and consistent brand image to maintain the continuity of the brand. Therefore, the
author designed a brand identity from the Indonesian Stamp Museum as a final
project to provide brand image to the community to increase brand awareness of
the community towards the museum.
