hours every day until the close ofthe campaign November 11 tit.By til at time wc want to be overami not going over.
Every elTort should be made toget subscriptions to the Red Crossmagazine, $1.00 each and to haveall enroll as members of the RedGross, $1.00 each. Neither ofthese sums have anything to dowith your quota of the amounteach donates to the general fund.Watch the local papers for furtherannouncements.

Don't Be a Junker
The feeling is prevalent in somequarters that the Red Cross bushad enough assistance and now,that the war is over, it deservesno further aid. Of course, there'sno merit in such a suggestion andit carries its own refutation.However, there may exist somewho honestly believe the time hascome to cease renderingRed Cross, and to those wc desireto submit the following, and askits respectful consideration:
"The war's over; let's junk theRed Cross," was a thoughtlessremark of an equally thoughtlessindividual.
If we can "junk" the thousandsof maimed and crippled Americansoldiers;
If we can "junk" the otherthousands who arc penniless,jobless and without a future, as u
result of their rallying to theircountry's cause;
If we can "junk" the agoniz-ing cries of distress and sufferingthat reaches us from other shores;
If wc can "junk" the thousandsof mothers, wives, children andother dependents of Americansoldiers;
If we can "junk" thousands ofnewborn babies, whose very livesdepend upon proper care (beingtaught by the Red Cross);
If we can "junk" the thousandsof American soldiers and sailorsstill in service;
If we can "Junk" the welfareof our own families;
If wc can "junk" the spirit thatmobilized 10,000,000 childrenunder the banner of the JuniorRed Cross;
In short, if we can "junk"humanity if we can turn dea'fears to suffering the world over
Then we can ' junk" the RedCrossl
Are you a junker?
