ABOUT MALTA
Year after year, Malta, the small Island in the heart of the
Mediterranean, has been attracting thousands of foreign students of
all ages to come and study the English Language. In fact it is one of
the most popular countries in the world regarding this sector. The
reason for this success is:
1) It is a very safe country
2) The crime rate is very low compared to other countries
3) The weather is excellent most of the time
4) The people are friendly and helpful
5) Most importantly, most of the people are multi lingual so it makes it easier to help
students on their first days in Malta
6) The Island is small so it makes it very easy for the students to get around
7) Good public transport system etc.
The Maltese archipelago lies virtually at the centre
of the Mediterranean, 93 km south of Sicily and
288km north of Africa.
Malta has been a Republic since 1974.
The capital city of Malta is Valletta.
Population is of approx. 417,000 people
The size of the island is 316 square km
Though small in size, Malta is proud to have its own language and identity, with English being
the second official language. The majority of the Maltese people speak more than 2
languages, with the most popular being Italian, Spanish, Arabic and French.
Malta is a member of the European Union and the currency is the Euro.
The country code is +356.
Time Zone is GMT +1

Nearly three years ago, Atlam Group International was formed with the intention of joining
forces with one of the best English Language Schools on the Island. Atlam Group has
introduced specialized courses to suit the student’s requirements, with an agreement with
AClass Academy of English to teach students the English Language Courses.
Our Group has been working hard
to offer the best packages for
students and we believe that we
are in a strong position to say that
aim is achieved. Besides offering
the courses, we do our utmost to
try and make the student
comfortable from the day he
applies to come and study in
Malta. Atlam Group takes care of
the coordination between the
student and the school. We make sure that the student has all the necessary documents
required for his visa application (if required). Upon his arrival and during his stay here, we will
check on the students by regularly contacting the school for follow ups. If a problem occurs
whether with the school or with the host family, we will do our utmost to resolve it. All teachers
are qualified in their field and for specialized courses, the teachers will be specialized
according to the course.
Atlam Group International are proud of their reputation which they have managed to build
through hard work. We accept that for any student, especially teenagers, the idea of
studying abroad is an adventure which all teenagers would like to explore. While we want
our students to have a memorable stay here in Malta and enjoy themselves besides studying,
we do not tolerate bad behaviour which does not make a good name for the student
himself, nor for his country, and neither for the school and for Atlam Group International. So
any student that involves himself in any illegal activities will be sent home immediately.

Religion plays an important part in the lives of human beings. The majority of the Maltese
people are Roman Catholics, and there are churches in all cities and villages where people
can pray and worship. Also in Malta
there is a small but strong community
of Muslims. In 2003, of the estimated
3,000 Muslims in Malta, approximately
2,250 were foreigners, approximately
600 were naturalised citizens, and
approximately 150 were native-born
Maltese.. By 2010, there were
approximately 6,000 Muslims in Malta -
most of whom are foreigners.
There is one mosque called the Islamic Centre of Paola in Paola, founded in 1978 by
the World Islamic Call Society, and one adjoining Muslim school called the Maryam al-Batool
school.
Atlam Group also took in consideration that during their stay Muslim students will want to
respect their religious duties. With discussions with AClass Academy of English, it was agreed
that the school will provide a prayer room for the students where they can pray. Also every
Friday, the students will be taken to the Mosque for prayer and worship. All this has also been
discussed with Imam Mohammad Elsadi who appreciated our proposal.

Visit From The Libyan Deputy Minister of Education
In 2014, Atlam
Group
International
also had the
honour to meet
here in Malta
with the Libyan
Deputy Minister
of Education Dr.
Rada and
discussed with
him the courses
being offered.
The Deputy
Minister also
found time to
visit AClass
Academy of
English, where
he was shown around the school. The Directors of the school answered all the questions the
Deputy Minister had, and he also had the chance to meet some Libyan students where he
discussed with them their studies and they all gave him positive feedback regarding the
school. Thus when the Deputy Minister and the Directors of Atlam Group left the building,
both parties where satisfied and had the peace of mind that Atlam Group International is
offering the best there is in Malta.
Atlam Group International together with AClass Academy of English, are confident that the
packages that are being offered to the students who are interested to come and study in
Malta have the best packages available. We offer small and personal classes at reasonable
prices especially when compared to other countries. Our aim is that after their experience
with us in Malta, the students return home with a better level of English Language then they
have arrived with, but also with a memorable experience that they will remember for the rest
of their lives.

HEALTH INSURANCE
For all students, health insurance is required for the duration of their stay in Malta. The
students can buy their insurance police from the agent they desire, but our advice is that the
Insurance Company will be one which we recommend. The reason for this is that Atlam
Group has an agreement with the below mentioned Insurance Companies that if a student
gets sick or is involved in an accident while being in Malta, the Insurance will settle the
hospital bill directly without the need for the student to pay first and then claim for the
payment from the insurance. Thus both the students and Atlam Group will have the peace of
mind that if a student is short of cash while being away from home and something happens,
the insurance will take care of everything.
The Insurance Companies within our group are:
Citadel Insurance
All Care Insurance Agency
