COVID-19 RELIEF ENGAGEMENTS

Yi Ahmedabad Yi Ahmedabad Chapter members distributed milk and grocery kits to 970 slum dweller families atold vadaj, Bhimajipur, one-month ration to 600 daily wage employees with the support ofWeizmann Ltd Ahmedabad, groceries and sanitizers to the workers in the construction sites, dailywage earners and nearby villages,1000 anti Covid-19 sanitizing kits consisting of mask, gloves,sanitizer, soap & paper napkin to Western Railway, Ahmedabad Division on duty staff includingHome Guards.

Yi AmaravathiYi Amaravathi Chapter members distributed sanitizers for around 100 people at Tenali area.

Yi Bhopal  Yi Bhopal Chapter with the support of Seva Bharti distributed cooked and raw food through 22 kitchensestablished in Bhopal at various locations,soaps and  ration to all the people living in Bhopal slums. Sofar,about 1000 packets have been distributed. The chapter members also distributed around 2000 soaps tothe needy and contributed Rs 50000 to the NGO (Seva Bharati ) for relief works,500 raw food packets for500 families with the support of LNCT Education foundation to the daily wage workers in Bhopal. Yi Bhopal Chapter members contributed Rs 100000 to police department to arrange for tea and snacks for500 police officials and volunteers of different NGO’s working for Covid relief in Bhopal Area's for 15 days.Chapter members distributed ration provisions to 200 families at Kolar area and 1000 food packets to theneedy people. Chapter members with the support of I-PAC and Swiggy distributed 1000 food packets to the BMC,Bhopal,distributed 100 food packets for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the patients admitted in GandhiMedical College,wage workers and people living in slums with the support of Pradhan Group. Chaptermembers with the support of NGO  Sewa Bharti,  I-PAC - Sabki Rasoi & Swiggy  distributed  4000 foodpackets to the daily wage workers and provided Snacks to 500 Police Officials and Volunteers in the Covidrelief work. Chapter members with the support of Akshay Patra and LNCT University prepared 50,000 raw foodpackets of ration provisions and distributed 10,000 packets to the needy people. Bhopal Members distributed 1000 kg wheat flour to the Bhopal Municipal Administration,10,000 packets ofraytion kits to the needy people with the support of Akshay Patra and LNCT University,3500 food packetsto the daily wage workers with the support of NGO Sewa Bharti,  I-PAC - Sabki Rasoi & Swiggy and alsodistributed  snacks to 500 Police Officials and volunteers in the Covid relief work.

Yi Bengaluru Yi Bengaluru Chapter distributed food provisions for 300 people with the support of The BruhatBengaluru Mahanagara Palike - BBMP,served cooked meals to the needy people at Thippsandaraarea Bengaluru,meals for 300 migrant workers at Dasarahalli, Bengaluru and also released an area-wise directory of pharmacies and medical stores that do door delivery. This was intended tosupport mainly senior citizens. Bengaluru chapter members also identified 50 migrant laborers from Orissa and distributedstaples and ration provisions in the Whitefield area,distributed 232 packets of ration provisions tothe needy people at doorsteps in the areas of Jayanagar, Kanapura, RK Nagar, Gorathahalli,Bengaluru,distributed 2873 packets of ration food provisions to the needy people at the doorstepswith the support of a local NGO (Heros).

Yi Bhubaneswar Chapter members with the support of NGO Ashayen distributed biscuits,soaps and sanitarynapkins to 200 street kids,dry food packets for 350 families at Brahnagiri with the support of NGOHunger Free Odisha.

Yi Chennai   Chennai Chapter members with the support of Gold Heart Foundation and Bhoomika Foundationdistributed around 56 dry ration kits across Morai, T.Nagar and Nungambakkam area ofChennai,distributed 276 dry ration kits to the daily wage laborers and outstation workers inNungambakkam, Anna arch, Mount road, Jaffarkhanpet, Gummidipoondi, Ambattur with thesupport of Bhoomika foundation Chennai chapter members with the support of Bhoomika foundation distributed 260 dry rationkits to the daily wage labourers and outstation workers and needy people of RA Puram,Gopalapuram, Jaffarkhanpet, Maduravoyal, Ashok Nagar, Thoraipakkam, New Manali town,Thiruvotriyur, Mylapore, Mandaiveli and Kelly's.

Yi Delhi Yi Delhi Chapter reached out to help the needy in the Ghaziabad area and arranged for soaps,potatoes, flour,rice and oil for about 70 families,cooked food to 300 people staying at Mahipalpurboys School, 250 cooked food lunch packets to the needy people in Gurgaon area.

Yi Erode Yi Erode Chapter delivered food packets for around 100 street dwellers everyday with thepermission and support from the local administration department. Chapter members with the support of Kongu Engineering College installed the disinfectant tunnelat the Erode bus stand. CII- Yi Erode Chapter members with the support of Kongu Engineering College installed twodisinfectant tunnel at the Perundurai bustand and GTS Schools which is now converted asvegetable market. The chapter also distributed 2425 cooked foods with the support of Atchayamtrust for the needy people.

Yi Goa Yi Goa Chapter member along with Bardez Bazaar helped in the distribution of essential goods to600 families living in and around the city of Mapusa, Goa.

Yi Guwahati Yi Guwahati Chapter members distributed ration kits to 160 needy people in Kalipur area.

Yi Hyderabad As a part of Covid-19 Relief,Yi Hyderabad Chapter member offered 40 Rooms of Hotel Inner-circle to Telangana Government for Self Quarantine stay and kitchen facility for doctors on duty The chapter members distributed 2400 packets of food to the medical staffs of Koti Hospital,4000food packets to the needy with the support of Telangana Police,5200 food packets all overHyderabad with the support of Telangana Police,2500 packets of food across various parts ofHyderabad with the support of HCSC (Hyderabad City Security Council) a Govt. of Telanganainitiative and SAFA (NGO),5700 food packets all over Hyderabad with the support of TelanganaPolice,9700 food packets with the help of Telangana police. The chapter also offered to use the 5 storey property for quarantine purpose,

Yi Hubballi Yi Hubballi members distributed 137 packed lunch to the needy and old people in the city with thepermission from City Commission. CII- Yi Hubballi chapter launched the disinfectant tunnel at the APMC Market for the use of public.

Yi Indore Yi Indore Chapter distributed raw food packets in the slum areas of Indore with the support ofIndore Police for about 200 families.

Yi Jamshedpur Chapter members identified a slum area with the support of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee(JNAC) and distributed around 150 packets of relief materials, which includes rice, pulses, flour,potatoes and salt for the needy families,grocery to 100 families at tube division, Birsanagar &Burmamines,150 sanitizers to police personnel standing on check post. CII-Yi Jamshedpur Chapter organized an awareness campaign on the roads of Jamshedpur on amoving vehicle to apprise the residents on the Dos and Don’ts during these trying times of COVID-19.

Yi Jaipur Yi Jaipur Chapter members with the support of NIMS College canteen distributed 200 packets tothe needy people and chapter is also feeding food for birds during the lockdown. The chapter members also distributed 450 food packets to the needy people in the city.

Yi Kolkata Yi Kolkata Chapter members with the support of police distributed ration kits to the St Joseph’sOld Age Home covering 150 elderly people and also supported the village of Uttar Bilandopur withfood essentials. Chapter members distributed 150 packets of dry ration to 300 needy people, 50 packets of rationprovisions and sanitizers to St. Joseph’s Old Age Home,100 packets of ration to Magrahat villageKolkata,850 packets of dry ration to needy families  in Hasting's area of Kolkata,dry rationprovisions to 600 needy people at Bhowanipore, Jadavpur, Patuli, Tangra, Kasba, Chowbaga,Deshopriya Park and Tollygunge areas of Kolkata.

Yi Kochi Chapter members distributed food packets,clothes to 1300 migrant workers, laborers anddestitutes in various camps in Kerala. Also served 1000 packets of Glucose to the police officials onduty.

Yi Lucknow Members of Yi Lucknow chapter came forward to contribute and help the mankind in this time ofgrave emergency and distributed food packets to the people in need. Through this distribution 100families were reached out. Chapter members also distributed around 150 packets cooked food for the people living in tentsand shelter homes at Lucknow,dry ration kits to 100 needy families.

Yi Madurai Chapter members supported 480 destitute families by providing hygiene items, hydration, packedfood, medical supplies, food grains and monetary support. The camp was supported by a local NGO(Idhayam Arakatalai) with permission from the district administration. Chapter members installed the Covid Disinfection Tunnelat M.S.S. Wakf Board College, KK Nagar,Madurai for the benefit of public.

Yi Mysuru Yi Mysuru chapter donated 100 mosquito repellents and hygiene products to the district hospitalheads to be utilized for the quarantined patients.

Yi Noida Yi Noida Chapter with the support of National Organisation for Social Empowerment-NGOdistributed daily essential kits to daily wage earners and slums of  Noida. Around 200 – 300 kitswere distributed and 3800 families have been benefited. The chapter also distributed  uncookedfood kits to 200 people living in Noida slum area through Navratna Foundation. The chapter alsosupported the local community on an ongoing basis  to provide ration and cooked food to dailywage earners and people living in slums. Nearly 10,000 people were benefited daily Distributed fruits and packed food to nearly 2000 migrant workers from 27 to 28 March2020,gloves, sanitisers, masks to various Police Departments including CRPF & Delhi Police,uncooked food to Sarita Vihar Police Station,cooked food packets to 500-600 people living in slumareas in Delhi NCR and government allotted place in Pitampura Noida Chapter with the support of National Organisation for Social Empowerment NGOdistributed daily essential kits to daily wage earners and slums of Okhla in Delhi and Sector 63Noida. A total of 200 – 250 kits were distributed.

Yi Puducherry Yi Puducherry distributed 4 gas connections with stoves for migrant workers in the constructionindustry and distributed 300 food packets and water to the  on-duty policemen at  DhanvanthriNagar Police Station. CII-Yi Puducherry members with the support of Government of Puducherry installed aDisinfectant Tunnel at the  Bus Complex in Puducherry formally inaugurated by  Mr VNarayanasamy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Puducherry. Yi Rajkot Yi Rajkot Chapter tied up with an NGO (Shree Bolbala Charitable Trust) that cooks food anddistributed to the needy with the permission and support from the local administration,servedrefreshment to the Police force on duty and distributed food kits to the nearby village,500 cookedfood packets to the needy people and also distributed 330 grocery kits to the near by villages,111groceries packets to the construction site workers and 7000 cooked tiffins to the needy people.

Yi Ranchi Yi Ranchi chapter members distributed 50 boxes of NaN and Lactogen baby food at Karuna HridayOrphanage and also helped elderly people with grocery and medicines at Ranchi Chapter members provided 5,000 masks to Ranchi Municipal Corporation. The chapter distributed750 food packets at Patratu  & 250 packets at Dhanbad area,500 food packets in Ranchi and 500packets in the Dhanbad area,ration at Dumka area for 100 families,1500 cooked meal to Ranchi and500 to Dhanbad,5,000 Masks to Ranchi Municipal Corporation and 1500 cooked meals for needypeople at Ranchi & 500 cooked meals at Dhanbad,500 cooked meals to the needy people at Ranchi& 500 cooked meals at Dhanbad.

Yi Raipur Chapter members distributed 200 packets of food provision to the daily,weekly wage laborers inRaipur District,distributed 200 packets of food essentials to the wage labourers in outskirts ofRaipur,distributed 200 packets of food provisions to the wage workers in Raipur.

Yi Siliguri Yi Siliguri Chapter did a joint initiative with CII for the distribution of masks in the hills for theneedy.

Yi Salem CII-Yi Salem chapter launched two disinfection tunnel at Salem bus stand and is currently beingused as a vegetable market for the use of public. Yi Salem chapter members with the support of NGO distributed 400 food packets and raw rationprovisions for the needy people and is also serving daily lunch for 30 policemen at duty.

Yi Tiruppur CII - Yi Tiruppur Chapter members in association with Tiruppur Corporations installed the firstdisinfectant tunnel in the vegetable market. Yi Tiruppur Chapter members in association with Tiruppur Food Guide (TFG) and Tiruppur DistrictAdministration initiated "Yi Veggies” The main objective of the initiative was to provide doordelivery of vegetables at affordable cost, this would connect the farmers with the consumers. AFarm to Home initiative to avoid people flooding the market and reduce the movement of publicduring curfew, so far 900 deliveries are done using this service. Chapter members delivered 150 packets of vegetable to the needy people.

Yi Thoothukudi CII-Yi Thoothukudi Chapter members distributed 1000 masks, 15000 gloves to the policedepartment in the Nagarcoil area,10 safety dresses to the SP Office in Tirunelveli,50000 gloves tothe government hospital, 15000 gloves to banking sectors and 25000 gloves to the Kerala police asa part of Covid relief measures. CII- Yi Thoothukudi Chapter members with the support of local district administration installedthe disinfectant tunnel for the benefit of the public. Chapter members distributed 1000 masks to the vallioor police department . The chapter installedthe disinfection tunnel at thoothkudi vegetable market with the support of venus home appliance. CII - Yi Thoothukudi Chapter installed their third Disinfection Tunnel at Nagercoil Market for thepublic use.

Yi Vizag Yi Vizag Chapter members as a part of COVID 19 relief distributed 340 masks to TB Hospital and 17aerosol boxes,served breakfast for 100 frontline health workers at Bobbili,80 packs of food, fruits,biscuits, and buttermilk to the needy people at the streets,366 packets of food and 100 packets ofbutter milk for the needy people with the support of Vizag volunteers group
