BJP’s deeds are black, have no right to release black paper: Khachariyawas

BJP’s ‘Black Paper’ listsgovt’s failures in 17 points

Confusion prevails with delimitation of wards

First India Bureau

Jaipur: The deeds of the BJP are black so how could they release black paper on Con-gress, transport minis-ter, and Civil Lines MLA Pratap Singh Khachari-yawas charged on the opposition party that released a document highlighting failures of the state government.

Releasing the Sankalp Patra (resolu-tion document) of Con-

gress on Friday, he said the Congress would form boards in both JMC Heritage and JMC Greater. He said the people had made up their minds to connect the dots between civic bodies and the state government for better development avenues.

He also inaugurat-

ed an election control room at his residence. He has formed a seven-member committee that would handle the elec-toral management.

The Sankalp Patra contains 41 points cov-ering the works that the party intended to carry out in the municipal corporations. The docu-ments focus on Pra-shasan Shahron Ke Sang, releasing land leases, sewerage, con-struction of roads, and others. In the year 2021, the state govt would run a campaign Prashasan Shahron Ke Sang in which slums would be

regularised, and leas-es of state grants would be issued.

The document also promises simplification of procedure in build-ing regulations, allow-ing extra construction on small plots, ware-house, promoting the construction of ware-houses and godowns, simplification of the process of land auc-tion, simplification of the process for easy ac-cess to urban develop-ment tax, and local and zonal offices of newly formed corporations will be made more and more functional.

First India Bureau

Jaipur: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Friday attacked the state government for its failures on several fronts during the last 20-month ten-ure. The party released a ‘Black Paper’ contain-ing 17 points through which it has targeted the ruling party.

The opposition party has tried to corner the ruling Congress on sev-eral issues including corruption in corpora-tions and municipali-ties, the state ranks first in the country in crimes related to rape against women, increasing cas-es of atrocities on Dal-its, central govern-ment’s money in a

smart city, increase in electricity bills, and the destruction of Dravy-awati river project.

BJP state president Satish Poonia, Un-ion minister Arjunram Meghwal, for-mer state president Arun Chaturvedi, and MLA Ramlal Sharma released the docu-ment at the BJP head-quarters.

“This government will always be remem-bered for the chaos, corruption, and mis-management. It has earned so much name in such a short time. The wards were badly twisted in delimitation and the corporations were di-vided into two to which the public still has ob-

jection,” Poonia said.The state govern-

ment might be think-ing that it succeeded in securing the corpora-tions by dividing them but the BJP would form its boards in all the six municipal corpora-tions, he said.

“The state govern-ment has not done any new work in the last 20 months. No new work order has been issued. Jaipur remained a hot spot during the Corona period as such we are issuing the black pa-per,” Poonia said.

Meghwal attacked the government for in-creasing crimes. He said that there is no such thing as fear among criminals in this government.

First India Bureau

Jaipur: The repeated delimitation of wards coupled with bifurca-tion of the Jaipur mu-nicipal corporation had led to confusion in the minds of not only the voters but is also giving tough times to the con-testing candidates in finding out their respec-tive boundaries.

The state govt on 18 Oc-tober, 2019 issued a notifi-cation announcing the formation of two munici-pal corporations in Jaipur, Kota and Jodhpur with which the number of wards also increased from 91 to 150. JMC Herit-age has 100 wards, while Greater has 150 wards.

Earlier, the number of wards was increased from 77 to 91 wards in November 2014. On June 10, 2019, the state govern-

ment again issued a no-tification increasing the number of wards in all bodies with which the wards in JMC increased from 91 to 150. After bi-furcation of the three corporations, the num-ber of wards in Jaipur increased to 250 from 150 through a notification on 6 January, 2020.

The repeated delimi-tation has led to confu-sion among the voters most of which are not aware about their poll-ing booths. The candi-dates are also scanning through the voter lists and searching new ward boundaries to reach out to their right voters. During campaigning, the

candidates are not only appealing for votes but have also to give informa-tion about the wards. The candidates and their sup-porters are using social media and SMS to ap-proach the voters about the ward limits. The mes-sage contains the ward number and the location of polling booths.

First India Bureau

Jaipur: Voting is the right of every citizen and even corona infec-tion cannot deny this right. With this in mind, the election department is prepared to allow Covid-19 infected voters and candidates to exer-cise their franchise at the polling booths in the municipal corpora-tion elections.

There will be extra precautionary meas-ures for Covid-19 voters, separate time will be fixed, they will not be required to remove PPE kits, and indelible ink will not be marked on them, said an official.

The department would have to take ex-tra measures for allow-ing Covid-19 voters to come to the polling booths but they would not be denied the voting rights, said the official.

District election of-ficer Antar Singh Neh-

ra said that if the voter expressed desire to vote, the CMHO would contact the presiding officer to fix time and inform the voter about it. The voting by Cov-id-19 patients would be allowed at around 5 pm near the end of the poll-ing time to ensure that other voters did not come after that.

All the members of the voting party would be wearing gloves, masks and if required PPE kits while the co-rona patient voted.

The officials might not apply indelible ink and require signature in the register of co-rona patients, he said. Nehra said that the district administra-tion is taking help of the medical depart-ment who would sub-mit a list of the infect-ed voters. The nodal officers appointed in Covid duties would prepare the ward wise list and send it to the returning officers who would further inform the election officers.

said. Shekhawat high-lighted the achieve-ments of the BJP board led by former May-or Ghanshyam Ojha.

Shekhar Kapur: Sadhguru, the most discussed thing in this world is relationships. One re-lationship that is causing more anger than anything else is man-woman love. Tell me about the nature of it. Is there some-thing we can find in a marriage that takes it beyond the every-day stresses and strains?

Sadhguru: There is no such thing as man-dog love, man-woman love, man-mother love, man-son love, man-daughter love. Love is just a certain sweet-ness of emotion. The method – how you are arriving at it – is the only question.

The man-woman thing is a compulsive love affair. Nature is pushing you towards each other because nature is interested in only one thing – perpetuating herself. They have to come to-gether somehow. Otherwise, you and I wouldn’t be born. This is a compulsive need. This is one love affair that is chemically supported by nature.

In most of these love affairs, unfortunately, once the chemis-try runs out, they wonder why the hell they are together. So, before the chemistry runs out, you are supposed to establish a different level of a conscious love affair which is beyond the chemistry. If that doesn’t hap-pen, it turns ugly.

The bodily chemistry plays up certain things according to its needs. The moment the need is satisfied, you wonder why the hell you are here. That is na-ture’s trick. When you were 10 or 11 years of age, everything was fine with the world. Then, your intelligence got hijacked by your hormones, and the whole world looked different all of a sudden. The chemistry had hijacked you. There’s nothing wrong or right about it, it’s just limited. Is being limited a crime? – No. But the nature of the human being is such, he suffers limitations. He doesn’t like them.

What you are referring to as love is basically the sweetness of your emotion. If you look at this carefully, naturally your innermost longing is to be free of every human being on the

planet, to be free of everything so that you can be just the way you want to be. Once a human being becomes more aware of his own nature, he begins to experience love, blissfulness and ecstasy. Even to experience orgasmic ways of life, you actu-ally don’t need anybody. If you just sit here, you can make it happen within yourself be-cause after all, it’s your body, it’s your mind, it’s your emo-tion, it’s your chemistry and you are the one who is creating all the experiences of your life. So, if it’s self-created, right now, if you sit here, would you choose to maintain the sweet-ness of your mind, body, emo-tion, and energy or would you like something bitter?

Shekhar Kapur: I’d prefer sweetness.

Sadhguru: So you would naturally be loving. When you see a man and a woman, you are talking about a relationship. There are different aspects to it – social, physical, psychologi-cal, or an economic angle to it. We form relationships with a variety of people in our lives. You have business relation-ships, personal relationships, and professional relationships. We form relationships basically to fulfill certain types of needs or to fulfill somebody else’s needs, whichever way it is. But what you refer to as love is just the sweetness of your emotion. You can use another person to stimulate that within you.

A UNION OF TWO BEINGSShekhar Kapur: But is it pos-sible for two people together beyond the chemistry or hor-mones, to be starters for each other and continue that rela-tionship?

Sadhguru: If you have to re-ally be with somebody, you have to give up a part of yourself in some way. So, the English ex-pression, “falling in love,” is very significant. You can only fall into it. You can’t stand in it, you can’t climb in it – you have to fall into it. One who thinks too much of himself cannot be in a love affair. Somewhere, you have to surrender a part of yourself to be in a love affair.

Shekhar Kapur: But in this weaving, as you called it, is it possible for you to be with an-other person that becomes, and I’m just guessing here, that be-comes the conduit towards your own self-realization? Is that a possibility? Could that be the basis of a relationship?

Sadhguru: It is definitely a possibility, but it’s a risky possi-bility. You may just get entangled and lost in so many complexities of a relationship rather than finding the ultimate nature. I’m not saying it’s not possible. It’s very much possible. So, that is why, in India, when we got people married, we tied what is called mangal sutra. There is a way of taking a strand of energy from you and your partner and tying it up in a certain way so that be-yond your logic, beyond your un-derstanding, beyond your psy-chological, emotional, and physi-cal needs, somewhere deep in-side, two beings are tied together, two lives are tied together. So we always said that this is a lifelong tie, you cannot break it. If you break it, you have to tear two lives apart because it was a kind of union. If you listen to all the man-tras chanted at weddings, they are talking about how these two beings are being welded together.

These marriages which were done in a certain way were nev-er about you. It was always about the other person. If both people think like this, it’s a beautiful place to be. If only one person thinks like that, it be-comes exploitation. If both the persons don’t think like that, it’s just a compulsive relationship, me trying to extract something from you, you trying to extract something from me. It’s a con-flicting situation all the time.

PAY DOCTORS THEIR SALARIES, PLEASE!

hey were frontline corona warriors for whom the country lit candles and beat thaalis. That was at the onset of the pan-demic in India. Even in those early days doctors busy in Covid care centres faced

hostile neighbours and resident welfare associa-tions who looked at them as potential virus carriers. What the doctors in some Delhi hospitals are now facing is worse: they have not been paid salaries for the last three months. In protest, resident doctors of Hindu Rao Hospital went on an indefinite hunger strike from Friday. They have been protesting for a few weeks now and resorted to hunger strike after the protests did bear fruit. Also on strike were resi-dent doctors of NDMC Medical College. Why should doctors go without salaries for months after provid-ing intensive medical care to Covid patients? After the strike call, Hindu Rao Hospital was removed from the list of the designated Covid-19 hospital.

Was all the thaali-taali a mere showbiz or are sala-ries of doctors stuck between Delhi’s Aam Admi Party government and the BJP controlled New Delhi Municipal Corporation which runs the Hindu Rao Hospital? Some doctors blamed the Delhi govern-ment for their salary dues, so did the NDMC. Delhi’s health minister Satyendar Jain blamed the BJP for doing politics over the issue. “They earn through sev-eral taxes and if they can’t run hospitals, they should hand over hospitals to the Delhi government.”

It is indeed shocking to see corona warriors be-ing made victims of BJP-AAP politics. It is amaz-ing to see how insensitive politicians can be to the plight of others for cheap popularity.

TRUMP’S REMARK CALLS FOR INTROSPECTION

hile commenting on air pollution in Del-hi, the Supreme Court had remarked in November last year that “Delhi has be-come worse than narak (hell)”. The air quality over Delhi remained in the se-

verely polluted category for months but the Centre and the government of Delhi kept sparring over the issue. As Delhi blamed stubble burning by Pun-jab farmers for air pollution in Delhi and the Na-tional Capital Region, Centre and other states blamed Delhi for not taking effective steps to im-prove the air quality. And this blame game has be-come an annual ritual as a combined and concert-ed effort is not made to help people breathe non-toxic air. Delhi’s air quality was so bad in Novem-ber last year, that travellers cut short their visit to India’s national capital to avoid breathing trouble.

Delhi’s air quality becoming a topic of the US presidential debate was unexpected. President Don-ald Trump was as hard-hitting as the Supreme Court was in 2019. “Look at India, it is filthy. The air is filthy,” Trump said during his debate with Democrat Joe Biden while claiming that the US has had the best carbon emissions in 35 years. The remark drew anger with Congress attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi who enjoys a special friendship with Trump.

More than venting anger at Trump’s remark, we need all stakeholders---governments which cannot arrive at the right balance between development and environment as they cut down forests, industry which cares little about emissions, the pollution con-trol boards which wink at polluters, transporters and the people---to put their heads together to im-prove climate’s health.

W

t is a million-dollar question that who is go-ing to be the world’s most

powerful person on Novem-ber 3rd, 2020 the date on which the fate of the two, Donald Trump and Joe Biden will b decided. While the answer would lie in the secret ballot, I wonder whether a nonlinear sci-ence like astrology can fa-cilitate attempting a predic-tion. If the data retrieved by friends in the USA from the internet are correct I am with my co-author Badri Lal from Bhilwara and my son Arihant.

An expert in interna-

tional finance is trying to venture into this exciting science-based on statistics, observations, and millions of years of history behind it. While Donald Trump born on June 14, 1946, has a Singh Lagna with Mars in first house and sun and Rahu in 10th or house of Rajya and mercury in his 11th or labh grah. The Ju-piter is 2nd house in Kanya Lagna. The guru period made him the President in a neck to neck fight in 2016. This time however the phase of Jupiter, Sat, and Rahu beginning on Oct 28th , in his chart impairs his victory chances.

Joe Biden born on No-

vember 20th, 1942 has a Vrishcick Lagna with sun placed in Lagna, Gaj Kes-ari in bhagya, and Rahu in 10 the house. Further, in navmansha he has Guru in the tenth house

in Moons Rashi, an excel-lent position for the high-est job in politics.

His Guru Rahu guru combination beginning September 6th is building him to take over as the

president of the most pow-erful nation. The astrolog-ical comparison makes him a clear and clean win-ner. This science has limi-tations because it is based on principles of chaos but

has been extensively re-searched time and again. Let us see what is the final result whether Biden wins or we lose.

Sasaram: The whole country was waiting for the revocation of Arti-cle 370 from Jammu and Kashmir since years and it was the NDA gov-ernment which carried it out, but today the Op-position is saying they will reverse this deci-sion, said PM Modi.

The Prime Minister said that even after making announce-ments of reversing the decision on Article 370 the Opposition was au-dacious enough to ask for votes from Bihar residents, who send their sons to protect the country’s borders. “The whole country was waiting for years for re-moval of Article 370 from Jammu and Kash-mir, the NDA govern-

“Is this not insult of Bihar which sends its sons & daughters to borders o protect the country? If sources are to be be-lieved, the Government was extremely upset with Lucknow Develop-ment Authority VC - IAS Shivakant Dwivedi- as his stance in the matter of demolishing the house of MLA Mukhtar Ansari and his brother MP Afzal Ansari was quite soft. Punishing him over the same, the government took strict action, cur-rent VC Shivakant Dwivedi was removed, his responsibilities were handed over to Lucknow District Magistrate Ab-hishek Prakash. Sources said that IAS Abhishek Prakash also wanted to relinquish charge of Lucknow District Magis-trate as the DM’s power decreased significantly after a Police Commis-

In such a situation, IAS Prakash wanted a good posting in another dis-trict, but due to Covid-19, Prakash, who was dreaming of becoming a District Officer in other major districts, was giv-en additional charge of VC of Lucknow Develop-ment Authority. Interest-ingly, IAS officers who once dreamt of becom-ing Lucknow DM, no longer want to be ap-pointed to post since due to Police commissioner-ate system, the DM’s magisterial power is now being used by po-lice, while Lucknow DM only has revenue cases left. Therefore, it will be interesting to see who will be appointed as DM of Lucknow.

SAWAAL 90 LAKH KA

What is the secret of the car that met with an accident

recently at Sri Dungargarh in Bikaner district. Well, the political and khakhi circles in Rajasthan

are abuzz with the ninety lakh rupees cash that were found in the vehicle. The accident occurred 3 days back wherein the driver of the car sustained severe injury to his eye and he was immediately

shifted to a renowned hospital in Jaipur. But with this accident, an interesting conspiracy broke out on the cash amount and everyone wants to know if there was indeed ninety lakh rupees in the car and if so, who did the ninety lakh belong to? Was this amount to be handed over to any politician in Jaipur or was it associated with the civic body poll? At least on the outside, the Sri Dungargarh police is trying to find the answer to all these questions. —First India Bureau

STUNNED BY WARNINGS!

While everyone awaits the local body polls to cast their vote,

there is another storm brewing in the political arena, this time in the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). Apparently, a female politician has taken a vow to take ‘revenge’ from those who wronged her by striking off her ticket. This incident occurred a few days back when the female leader, out of sheer anger and frustration on not being given a ticket, gave an ‘alert’ on

a whatsapp group. The woman from the Gurjar community wrote, “Someone may be extremely happy on cutting my ticket, but when the time comes, I will also dole out all the secrets out of my book and expose them. Those who have stabbed me, they will be judged and without any inhibitions. Doing such an act with a simple person will open the gates of doom for you.” The woman’s words are now echoing within the saffron party which is looking to form its board in all the local bodies, however, with warnings like these, the ‘relevant’ people are gearing up for a frightful time ahead! —Aishwary Pradhan

Jaipur: BJP state pres-ident Satish Poonia on Friday, said he has no ambition to become CM of state because it is for the party high command to take a de-cision on such matters at appropriate time.

Poonia said that party workers may have their own wishes but democracy is not a ‘Bhajan Mandali’.

Ahead of completing one year as the state president, he said “The Congress has weak-ened in Rajasthan but the BJP is not the rea-son for it. There is pan-ic and apprehension in the ruling party which is due to its own.”

The BJP leader said that Congress was sole-ly responsible for the political crisis after for-mer deputy CM Sachin Pilot and other MLAs rebelled against the leadership of CM in July this year. He said Congress high com-mand projected Pilot and the assembly elec-tion was contested on this line.

Talking about his achievements in one

year, Poonia said that people have seen that BJP is not a party of slogans but works on ground and it was evi-dent during the corona pandemic. When asked if there is something wrong between him and former CM Raje, he said that BJP accepts things as per the time.

He affirmed that BJP doesn’t have such things and conflicts.

Poonia, who is turning 56 on Satur-day, said he comes from a simple family and rural background and worked with hon-esty and integrity which has given him satisfaction.

According to the state austerity circular is-sued by the state gov-ernment on September 3, 2020, ‘No new permis-sion to open new office will be approved in the financial year 2020-21 funded by 100 percent state funds and the pre-

viously approved offices which have not started, will not be established in the current financial year. ”In such a situa-

tion, the Chief Minister has given relaxation and permitted to open courts with staff.

It is noteworthy that a

lump sum expenditure of about Rs 156 crore and annual expenditure of Rs 52 crore is expect-ed on 52 new courts. The

outright expenditure is expected to be Rs 3 crore per new court building, furniture and other expenses.

Jaipur: The finance department has reject-ed the demand to in-crease grade pay of police constables say-ing, the demand is not rational. There are more than 87,000 con-stables in the state and they have been de-manding an increase in the grade pay from 2,400 to 3,600 for which several MPs, MLAs and social organisations have written letters to the state government.

The matter was for-warded to finance de-partment from the chief minister’s office and the finance depart-ment has given its re-

ply to the CMO.Department com-

mented that the de-mand had been raised earlier also and was ex-amined by a committee constituted on Septem-ber 20, 2017, under the chairmanship of Spe-cial Secretary of Fi-nance (Expenditure), who had not consid-ered it rational and in such a situation, the department will not in-crease the grade pay of constables.

Nearly 2 months back, a campaign was run on social media to raise the demand and several MPs, MLAs and have written letters to the chief minister re-garding the demand.

he novel ‘Palace of Illusions’ by award winning novelist and poet, Chitra Ba-nerjee Diva-karuni is a ren-

dition of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, as told from Draupadi’s point of view. It is a deeply hu-mane story about a wom-an born into a man’s world. A world of warri-ors, gods and the ever manipulating hands of fate.

This grand epic is com-plex, as political rela-tionships grow and de-velop, friends and ene-mies are created leading to tragic battles and wars. It destroys them all, the victorious survi-vors as well as the slain martyrs and perpetra-tors. It takes us back to a time that is half history, half myth and wholly magical. At the core of the epic lies the fierce ri-valry between the two branches of the Kuru dy-nasty- the Pandavas and the Kauravas. Their life long struggle for the throne of Hastinapur culminates in the bloody battle of Kurukshetra in which most kings of that period participated and perished.

In Divakaruni’s own words, “If I ever wrote a book, I remember think-ing, I would place the women in the forefront of the action. I would un-cover the story that lay invisible between the lines of the men’s ex-ploits. Better still, I would have one of them tell it herself, with all her joys and doubts, her struggles and her tri-umphs, her heartbreaks, her achievements, the unique female way in which she sees her world and her place in it. And who could be better suit-ed for it than Panchaali?

It is her life, her voice, her questions, and her vision, that I invite you into in ‘The Palace of Il-lusions’”.

Diwakarni portrays Panchaali as a powerful, strong and independent woman, an equal to the men around her, rather

than subservient. Named Draupadi, she rejects the egoistic name given after her father, Dhrupad and renames herself Pan-chaali, symbolic of the series of choices made by herself rather than the people around her in the overwhelmingly patriar-

chal society that was an-cient India.

There is no place for self pity. All the layers of her character are skil-fully brought to the sur-face. Her contriving mind, her pride, the tinge of jealousy that she harbours, a constant bat-

tle with herself and above all her deft han-dling of five husbands, while yearning for the mysterious man who is their most dangerous en-emy. To give the women of India such power and freedom is phenomenal. It is apparent in other fe-male characters as well Diwakarni portrays Kunti, Panchaali’s asser-tive mother-in-law, as a devoted mother to not only her own sons but also those of her hus-band’s second wife, fight-ing all odds in spite of being a young widow. Gandhari, as wife of the blind king, blindfolds

herself choosing to live as an equal to her hus-band, surrendering her power as a queen and mother.

Diwakarni’s narrative moves with graceful fe-licity between the very recognisable human world and magical realms where Yakshas & Apsaras roam. Numer-ous other characters are larger-than-life heroes, epitomizing inspiring virtues and deadly vices. Vyasa- the sage composer and participant at cru-cial moments; Krishna- beloved and inscrutable, divine and mysterious; Bhishma- the patriarch

bound by his promise to the Kuru throne; Drona- the Guru to the Kaurav and Pandav princes ; Dhrupad- king of Pan-chal, activates the wheel of destiny in his blind vengeance; Karna- the most tragic hero of the grand saga called Ma-habharat.

Diwakarni has taken a male-centred story and breathed new life into its complex women charac-ters- giving us a rich tale of passion and love, pow-er and weakness, honour and humiliation. The Palace of Illusions fully illuminates the insanity of war and the fragility

of civilization. As in all great cathartic tales, Di-wakarni’s novel grasps our attention from be-ginning to end and is a healing, aesthetic experi-ence.

In the end Draupadi ask Krishna, “I hear that you are the avatar of Vishnu. Are you really divine?” Krishna, char-acteristically smiles at her and simply says, “Yes, I am”. Looking deep into her eyes he con-tinues, “So are you. We all are.” Totally stumped Draupadi looks on. May-be... the whole Mahab-harata flashes before her with a new perspective!

s restaurants reo-pened after more than two months of lockdown, the chal-lenges of adjusting to the post-covid world seems daunt-

ing till now. The restaurants have been permitted but they will have to follow guidelines issued by the Union Health ministry to prevent COV-ID-19 spread.

Footfall has nearly van-ished, socializing has been replaced by social distancing, opening hours are restricted, and high rentals and low sales make it all but impossi-ble to keep the doors open. High-end restaurants, even popular ones are showing a greater degree of vulnerabil-ity. A handful of popular res-taurants have already been forced to shut. Even those that are open could see a 40-50% fall in revenue this fiscal. With an eye on financial via-bility, not all restaurateurs have moved to open their out-lets, some only offer takea-ways and deliveries.

While restaurants want to formulate a robust post-cri-sis plan, the evolving con-sumer behavior makes this hard to do. City First exclu-sively talks about the expect-ed change in consumer be-

havior and how restaurants can adapt to keep their doors open post-lockdown.

In addition to the government’s guidelines of wearing masks and using sani-tizers, we wash our cutleries

and dining set with hot water and put under heat to keep it germs free. Customers get the dining set packed each time they come to eat and open it fresh by themselves. We have provided accommodation to our kitchen staff. People are happy to order but reluctant to enjoy dine-in services.

HELPING HANDNEHAL NAYAR

Proprietor of Saawariya En-tertainment, an event manage-

ment company, Sanjay Sardana has been help-ing the needy since his school days. Being a kid, even though he could not do much for these people on his own, he always tried his level best to help peo-ple as much as he could. “After los-ing myself in the services of others, I have realised that being compassionate is not enough. We must not wait for other people to act; the first step is al-ways our own,” he said.

Now that he is suc-cessful in achieving his dreams, he has a good amount of sources and time which he can put in for the needs of the poor because he be-lieves that no one has ever become poor by giving. He distributes blankets to the needy every winter, and al-ways keeps food in his car for the people on the streets; he is also a part of many NGOs.

When asked about his inspiration, he said, “My parents played a

major role in inspiring me because I grew up seeing them do social welfare. I believe in the fact that we have two hands- one to help our-selves, and one to help others.”

Sanjay also men-tioned that his work has been recognised in a book titled ‘The Most Inspiring People On

Earth’ which will soon be published by the pru-dent press. He is one of those people who has achieved heights yet has always been so grounded. He has in-spired so many other people to contribute and work for social causes and that is what makes him a real hero.
