ERRATUM.Land Act, 1933-1968.

ORDERS IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933-1968, it is made lawful for the Governor to directthat any Reserve shall vest in and be held by anyMunicipality, Body Corporate, or other person orpersons to be named in the order in trust for thelike or other public purposes to be specified insuch order; and whereas it is deemed expedient,as follows:-

Corres. 11078/97.—That Class "A" Reserve No.8979 should vest in and be held by the Shire ofDonnybrook in trust for the purpose of Park Lands.

Corres. 3591/47.—That Reserve No. 22687 shouldvest in and be held by the Town of Kalgoorlie intrust for the purpose of Public Recreation.

Corres. 2882/64.—That Reserve No. 29518 shouldvest in and be held by the Shire of Perth in trustfor the purpose of Pedestrian Accessway.

Corres. 1395/68.—That Reserve No. 29541 shouldvest in and be held by The Western AustralianWild Life Authority in trust for the purpose ofWild Life Sanctuary.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, byand with the advice and consent of the ExecutiveCouncil, doth hereby direct that the beforemen-tioned Reserves shall vest in and be held by theabovementioned bodies, in trust for the purposesaforesaid, subject nevertheless to the powersreserved to him by section 37 of the said Act.

Factories and Shops Act, 1963-1965.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is enacted, inter cilia, by subsection(2) of section 85 of the Factories and Shops Act,1963-1965 that where any shop is situate in themunicipal district of the Shire of Yilgarn, the shopshall, subject to the provisions contained in theDivision of that Act relating to particular classesof shops, be kept closed as provided in subsection(1) of that section, except that on Wednesday ofeach week the shop shall be closed from and afterone o'clock in the afternoon and on Saturday ofeach week shall be closed from and after six o'clockin the afternoon, and whereas it is further enactedby subsection (3) of section 85 of the above Actthat where the majority of shopkeepers of shopssituate in a municipal district referred to in sub-section (2) of that section, makes written applica-tion to the Minister to close their shops during theAmes referred to in subsection (1) of the sectionInstead as provided in subsection (2) of the section,the Governor may, on the recommendation of theMinister, by Order in Council direct accordingly,and on the making of the order, subsection (1) ofthe section shall apply, subject to the Act, to theshops situate in that municipal district; and where-as a majority of shopkeepers of shops situate in the

(1) University degree, with geology as a major subject preferably with honours, and preferably with seven years' experiencein field geology applied to engineering projects.

(m) University degree preferably with a major in mathematics. Applicants should have at least two years' experience onmedium to large computor systems, and a sound knowledge of FORTRAN.

(n) Junior Certificate in five subjects including English, Typing, Shorthand or Bookkeeping.(o) Plus district allowance $680 married man; $340 single man.(p) Progress towards a Diploma in Engineering Surveying or approved equivalent academic qualification plus at least

2 years' relevant experience; or eight years' relevant experience.(q) A Leaving Certificate an advantage plus a pass in Surveying I at the Perth Technical College or its equivalent. Some

experience in the construction industry and in irrigation and drainage or water supply works would be an advantage.(r) Required to have served an Apprenticeship as a Carpenter or Welder or to hold a Tradesman's Rights Certificate, with

at least four year's experience in Harbour Construction work, with particular emphasis on all types of pile driving.(s) Academic qualifications acceptable for corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.(I) Salary under review.

(d) All buildings, erections, paving, drainageand other works shall be to the approval ofthe Local Authority and the lessee shallperform, discharge and execute all requisi-tions and works unto the demised land asare or may be required by any local orpublic authority operating under anystaute by-law or regulation.

(e) The lessee shall maintain existing andfuture improvements to the satisfaction ofthe Minister for Lands.

(f) Compensation shall not be payable to thelessee in respect of any improvementseffected by him on the demised land andremaining thereon at the expiration orearlier determination of the lease.

(g) It shall be lawful for the lessee at any timewithin the three calendar months im-mediately following the expiration of theterm or earlier determinattion of the lease,to take down, remove, and carry away anybuildings, structures, improvements andplant the property of the lessee.

(h) On determination of the lease, the lesseeshall fill in, consolidate and level off anyunevenness, excavation or hole caused byhim during the term of the lease or byremoval of his improvements and shallleave the demised land in a clean, neatand tidy condition to the satisfaction ofthe Minister for Lands and shall removeany or all waste matter as required by theMinister.

(i) The Minister or his representative mayenter the land for inspection at any reason-able time.

(j) Compensation will not be payable fordamage by flooding of the demised land.

Applications accompanied by a deposit of $22.50must be lodged at the Lands and Surveys Depart-ment, Perth on or before Wednesday 22nd January,1969.

In the event of more applications than one be-ing received the application to be granted will bedetermined by the Land Board.

Any burning undertaken under the provision ofthis suspension shall be subject to the followingconditions:—

(1) No burning shall be undertaken on anyday on which the local authority or anofficer nominated by it prohibits burningon the land effected by these suspensions.

(2) No burning shall be undertaken on dayswhen the fire hazard forecast issued bythe Bureau of Meteorology for the areaconcerned is "dangerous" except in accor-dance with the provisions of the BushFires Act.

(3) At least three men shall be constantly inattendance at every fire until it has beencompletely extinguished, including allsmouldering logs, timber, disused sleepersand other inflammable material.

(4) Each man shall be provided with a heavyfire rake and each three men with at leastone knapsack spray with sufficient waterfor its operation.

(5) Any burning carried out under the pro-visions of this suspension shall comply withsection 18 and all other relevant provisionsof the Bush Fires Act, 1954.
