a) Modules 1) Security Login - To allow members to login to the website, and make purchases, because non-member is not allowed to make purchases. For users that have failed for logging in more than 3 times, it will automatically block them. Besides that, after a member have already filled up the login id and password, they will still need to type in the words that are shown in the captcha. Eg: Logout - To let members logout of the website, so that no one can use their accounts to make purchases, or looking at their details. Furthermore, it will auto logout, if a user has been away from keyboard for more than 5 minutes. Eg:

1) Security Login

2) Shopping cart

Add item

- Customer is allowed to add item that they wanted tobuy to the shopping cart, and the shopping cart will automatically add up the prices and show it tothe user. Users can also choose the quantity by clicking on the drop down list.

Remove item- Customer can remove item from the shopping cart,

this allows them to make changes, and the shopping cart will decrease the price after removing some selected items. Eg:

Calculation - Shopping cart will automatically sum up the items

that the user added to the cart. It is more convenient for them to look at the prices without having them to calculate themselves. Checkout * discount* if more than 1000 discount *checkout, canback

- For customers that have already bought for more than RM500, they are entitled to get a 10% discount, for more than RM1000, they will get another 20% discounts. Eg:

Check stock availability - Users are able to check the stock availability ifthey wants to buy more books. Eg:

3) Registration

Register as a member- Everyone can be registered as a member, to make

purchases. For customer that doesn’t register will not be able to buy products from us. They can only view the products.

Input Validation- For those customers who is interested in register

as a member, will need to sign up on the homepage,

it will direct the user to a new page to fill up their personal information. Example : name, address, phone number and etc. Eg:

Email activation- After registering, an email will automatically send

to the member to activate the account. In order to activate it, the user will need to go to their mailbox and click on the link to login to their account. Eg:

4 a) Data maintenance for admin

Product management

- Admin can add products to the product list, update their products, so that customer can buy new books.Admin can also delete products which is already outdated, or stock is already finish and not going to order anymore. Eg:

Member management- Admin can delete members that is already inactive

for many years. Besides that, they can also remove members which is a spam account that will just

flood the database. Eg:

View feedback- Admin is able to view feedback which is submitted

by the customers. This will help the admin to improve their site and their services. Eg:

Check order made by customer- Admin can check who have already made the order and

wants to make payment. Eg:

4 b) Data maintenance for member

Update profile

- Registered member can get to update their information whenever they want. If they’ve already filled in the wrong information during registration, they are able to edit them. Eg:

Order history- Members can view the history about what they have

bought previously. This is to let them see what they’ve bought from the site. Eg:

5) Payment type

Paypal- Customers can pay the bills with Paypal. Paypal is

one of the safest method to pay online, it is because the information of the user will never get revealed. Besides that, Paypal is accepted all around the world. *input validation

Credit card- Customers are able to pay by using their credit

card. Shipment

The goods will be shipped by 2-3 days. It will notify the customers by sending an email confirmation to them. Eg:

6) Report generator

Top 10 best book sold report - Admin is able to look at the report, which book has

the highest rate of selling so that they will ordermore copies of the book and sell it to their customers.

Daily sales report - Admin can look at the report that is generated by

the system. The report will show how many books that have sold and the total amount.

Product summary report- Admin can also look at the remaining stock to make

sure whether have to order more or not.

Monthly sales report Admin can look at the monthly sales report. The report contains how many books have been sold to customers and sum them up as a final amount. So that they can see how much have they earned. Eg:

7) Search function

Members or non members can search any books by typing any alphabets letter, and the result will display depends on what the user search. Besides that, a member can search a book by the range of the price. Eg:

Members can also rate the book after reading it, toshow how good or the quality is. Eg:

Other features

1) Top 10 products slider- There will be a page that shows the top 10 best

selling books in the site. It is to let customers see which one is the best seller, the popular booksthat readers are willing to buy them.

2) Time and date

- On the webpage, there is a time and date, easy for the user to look at the time and date when they are looking for a book that they want to buy.

3) Member counter- It is a counter that will be on the main page, it

will count how many members have already sign up. To show the popularity.Eg:

4) Social networking site and apps- On the main page, there will be also a facebook

link to the facebook page, besides that, there willbe also instagram or twitter, for members or non members to follow us, to get notified of the latestpromotion.

5) Visual effect - On the webpage, there will be some visual effects

on it. So that the user will not be so bored when they are on the site looking for the books they want. Eg:

customers to view it or attract customers.
