Working with FilesEach piece of equipment (apparatus) is represented by an individual .dtax filewhich references its location, identity, serial number, and other identifying designations. It includes a complete history of tests run on that device, along with the test results. Legacy (.xml) files will be written out in .dtax format.

Doble Test AssistantVersion 6.2Merging Files

Merging data from different test sessions

DTA6 automatically scans the files within a folder to see if they can be merged. Files can be merged when each file shares the same apparatus type, serial number, and special ID.

1. Navigate to the directory of interest. If potential matches exist, DTA6 identifies them.

Closer comparison reveals files are not compatible. Or

3. Click OK. No merge occurs.

The merge is performed:• Data from source files is combined in one new file.• Filename is created according to your Preferences and assigned latest Test Date from source files.

3. Click Save. The new file is saved. Source files are sent to the Recycling bin.

2. Examine the merge candidates. Deselect any you do not wish to merge.

Two results are possible.

1. Create a new apparatus file. 2. Enter nameplate data.

3. Save.

Doble Test Assistant generates test plans for new devices and configurations.

Required fields are validated.

Fields change dynamically in response to inputs.

Each child apparatus has a nameplate.

Click the Test Session tab to view, configure, or run tests.

Existing apparatus files already contain test plans.

References and Power SourcesThe M4100 Instrument contains resistive and capacitive references for measuring specimen reactivity, and can power tests up to 300 mA at 12 kVAC.

Doble Test Assistant supports these additional functions: • Adding an M4120 External Reference Module to take measurements by comparing measured values against external reference standards • Powering tests to higher potentials with an external power source, using the M4100 as a measurement unit
