This bibliography covers various world battles dating from 11479 B.C.through the Vietnam War as written about in fifty—seven periodicals.Arrangement is alphabetical followed by the generic association withwhich a given battle is historically recorded. These include terms suchas battle, campaign , capitulation , massacre, occupation, operation , raid,revolution , siege, and skirmish.

Due to t ime and space constraints only one article for any givenbattle has been cited. Materials listed have been selected from periodicalholdings of the Morris Swett Library.
