At Stonestreets Travel, we really love travelling! To go the extra mile and visit

places, exploring each one so we can pass that information on to you either on one of our organised tours or a tailor made individual holiday package. So far this year, I personally have had the pleasure of escaping on several fantastic adventures; including a very relaxed break on natural Norfolk Island, I took a super-fast ride on the ‘Bullet Train’ from Kyoto to Hiroshima in Japan, listened to the rumble of Supercars racing around Mount Panorama in Bathurst, took a 4x4 adventure to Western Queensland and Fraser Island, even had time to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. You might ask us why we love to travel so much. Come with us and we will show you places we’ve seen, then you will know the answer.

TURTLES OF MON REPOS | 5 FEBRUARY 2019

SYDNEY SIGHTS AND PACIFIC NIGHTS | 10 MARCH 2019

On the coast of Bundaberg, Mon Repos supports the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland and has the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific Region. It is an amazing sight to see these huge creatures heaving their way up the beach to find a safe spot to dig a nest and lay their eggs. 6-8 weeks later see the tiny hatchlings emerging from their sandy nests to scurry down the beach towards the sea. Visitors can witness hatching turtles over the summer months on Mon Repos beach, on a Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service ranger guided turtle encounter. A special ranger led experience has been carefully created to help you understand and appreciate the life cycle of the turtle, to manage turtle watching, and ensure successful breeding for the survival of this endangered species.
