Transcript of Training Packaging Solutions - Multivac
Dear customers,
The regular updating of one‘s knowledge and abilities is a key to success in the modern working environment. The world of packaging procedures is also undergoing constant change - technology continues to develop, the need for knowledge grows, and existing knowledge must be regularly refreshed and expanded.
The growing demands on today‘s packaging solutions usually mean a higher level of machine complexity, which has to be mastered easily and above all reliably. A precondition of an efficient packaging procedure is therefore the perfect interaction between man and machine - from operation to servicing. It is for this reason that MULTIVAC offers you not only reliable machines and modern technology, but also a highly informative and varied training program with unique practical relevance. Qualified staff are more motivated and take pleasure in their work.
Benefit from our know-how and put together your own individual training program from our range of training courses, which are constructed on a modular basis. Our range comprises not only standard courses, but also customized training solutions for different target groups and requirement profiles.
The training courses take place in our modern Training Center with its large range of machines at our headquarters in Wolfertschwenden, as well as at our international Training Centers worldwide. If required, we can also offer you training on your own site. In all cases you can of course have trust in the high level of standardised MULTIVAC quality, which you have come to expect from our machines.
We would be very happy to advise you on the selection of training courses, which are best suited to your needs. Simply contact us to discuss it further.
We look forward to welcoming you.
With best wishes
Stefan Scheibel

TAC – TVI's Training and Application Center
TVI is a leading manufacturer of meat portioning machines and complete portioning lines, as well as equipment for all aspects of tempering, freezing, forming, portioning, automating, winding and skewering. TVI offers a range of training courses, allowing your staff to perform these production procedures safely, reliably and confidently. The aim is to impart knowledge that helps to benefit production and optimise yield.

Training process
Module structure
The training takes place in five modules, which are tailored to the requirements of your staff:
ASR 300
GMS 1600
Module 4Calibration and putting equipment into service
Module 3Software and
machine operation
Module 2Safety
Module 5Maintenance
Module 6Cleaning
GMS 520
Module 1Basics
5
The focus of this module is the construction and functioning of the machine. This module is suitable for those wanting to gain a rough overview of the machine.
This module is a precondition for operating the machine. It deals with all aspects of safety measures, personal protective equipment and safe handling of knives on the equipment. Also, the design of the machine's safety features is demonstrated, as well as the measures to be taken, if it has to be operated at its limits. What to do in an emergency? TVI provides a clear catalogue of measures which will enable your staff to master tricky situations.
Module 1 – Basics
Module 2 – Safety
6
This module is directed at staff of the MULTIVAC subsidiaries, as well as TVI service technicians and application engineers. The aim of the training is for staff to be able to calibrate the machine when first putting the equipment into service.
Module 4 – Calibration and putting equipment into service (only for MULTIVAC subsidiaries)
The aim of the training is to ensure your staff can operate the equipment on their own, as well as change and create recipes and programs. Optimised for trim or precise in weight? TVI machines produce the highest level of product quality at maximum efficiency, which can be further optimised by your staff, after they have enrolled for this module. We teach them how maximum yield can be achieved, while also being very sparing with resources. After they have signed up for this module, your staff will be trained to become production managers for the TVI machine.
Module 3 – Software and machine operation
7
Thorough and regular cleaning is a precondition for faultless product quality and a long machine lifespan. We pass on our know-how to your staff, ensuring your internal knowledge management has a sound basis, particularly as regards service suppliers or frequent changes of cleaning personnel.
Module 6 – Cleaning
Which components must be maintained, and when and how? Which modules must be removed to facilitate this? Module 5 gives answers to these questions. The TVI trainers have handy tips to bring the maintenance of your TVI machine to the next level.
TVI reserves the right to adapt the module structure to the scope of the training requirement for the specific machine.
Module 5 – Maintenance (only for MULTIVAC subsidiaries)

If preferred, the content of the training can be individually tailored to your particular requirements.
As part of every training course, comprehensive documentation is provided for the participants, including a brief overview of all the safety aspects, which can be used for further internal training of staff. The training on machine cleaning is also given in a documented form, which is suitable for passing on the knowledge to others. This means your internal knowledge management is always complete and able to support any briefing of outside service suppliers.
When the training is completed, the participants must subject their newly gained knowledge to an examination. After they have successfully passed the test, the participants receive a certificate to illustrate their competence.
