BOOK THIEVES MAKE IT BAD FOR REST OF STUDENTS

Students are wondering why the privilege o.f using the reserved ehelve · in the library has ,been restricted - so is -Mr. George Allez, librarian, wondering just where 'the some 150 reserved books have disappeared to durin-g the past semester.

.A partition now separates the reserve shelves .from the regular stacks. Hereafter students desiring the use of the reserve section must ask permission from the Hbrarian in charge. The regular stacks ,\;ill be _open, as in the past. · Mr, .A..llez stated that he was disappointed in being forced to this action. However it was done· in the interest of the students and the college. The loss of 150 books represents approximately $300. With state appropriations being slashed continually it will be a problem to re-place , the stolen text.s.

BROADCAST

w ants Oredentlals Beady ll!r. Editor:

At a recent mnss eon fcrcnee J w:ts surprised to henr that the ma in rcn~ou for the incompleteness of cTcd C' ntlal~ was through, the negligence of some of the directors of our vutious eoll l•ge de· pnrtmonts. Such vital things as ur C' · dentials nro not' ready to send out to prospective employers. I think ~ lw t tlic Dircetors should to.kc an excccthug· ly nctive interest in tho "scorch for positions". If a. student were to nppl,v for a. job todny, his references, would not be nt hand.

We fint.1 tbnt the Directors have Ut·cn nsked many t imes to fulfill (his ta~k which would require but n few minutes. It may men n a j ob to some student.

Let 's hope that these f ew linus will cnusc some Uirccto.r to sco the need for promptness in th is vitnl matter.

Favors Tuition Plan For Iris Deur Editor:

If students continue to abuse the one privilege remaining in usinir the reservesecilo,r,that too, will be withdrawn. In that event students desiring reserve books would have to get in line ea~h day.
