Montenegro is increasingly being included on the list of the most popular destinations for MICE tourism. It is located in the heart of the

Mediterranean, on the beautiful, 294 km - long Adriatic coast. Montenegro is linked to the major congress tourism centers in the region through its borders with Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo. Also, Italy is just accros the Adriatic sea and other major European metropolises are only two and a half hours plane ride away. This undiscovered destination is rapidly evolving, creating the ideal conditions for rest, relaxation and the organization of the MICE events. Although it is a small-sized country, Montenegro has high-quality capacities for hosting conferences and similar stimulating and team-building activities. The attractive Mediterranean coastline is where the most famous congress destinations are located. Thus, when we talk about MICE capacities the most distinguished places include Budva with Becici, Bar, Ulcinj. In addition, the Capital city of Podgorica and Kolašin in the North are also prominent MICE destinations . The vicinity of the seaside to the mountains in Montenegro is ideal allowing tourists to visit all popular sites in the same day. The weather conditions are favorable, considering that there are 240 sunny days over the year.

With the arrival of prestigious hotel brands and new

DESCRiPTioNMedieval castle of the town Budva, dedicated to St Mary, better known as Citadela, is the most monumental architectural object within the town walls of Budva. This complex building is architecturally completely autonomous and presents one of the most significant fortification objects dating back to the Middle Ages on the Montenegrin coast. Within the complex, there are fortification walls, remains of the medieval church of St Mary, gates, several plateaus and buildings of the former barracks. With its ambience and private dining areas, the restaurant located on the first floor is an ideal place for private gatherings including high quality cuisine and special service. Attached to the restaurant, there is a spacious terrace on the eastern tower with a stunning view of Saint Nicolas Island and the open sea. Citadela contains one of the most valuable collections of books and maps dedicated to the Balkans, which is privately owned. Functionally connected with

the library, there is a spacious Gallery. During the tourist season, fine art exhibitions, concerts and museum presentations are organized. The space of Citadela is also available for the projects of Budva festival, Grad Teatar Budva- Theatre City. DESCRiPTioNThe XVIII century Grgurina palace, which is home to the Maritie Mu-seum of Montenegro, is situated in the central part of the Old Town of Kotor, at the address: Trg Bokel-jske mornarice 391. The exhibition area of this cultural institution is divided into three floors, namely:

Ground floor, with six bronze relief plaques in the entrance hall, showing the most significant events and the most and the most prominent figures from the past of Boka Kotorska (the Bay of Kotor). In the next room, dedicated to disabled persons, the photos of the Maritime Museum’s exhibits are displayed on a large plasma screen, and visitors can use audio guides in six foreign languages.

The first floor consists of five sep-arate exhibition rooms, namely: the central hall featuring historical maritime period from the 16th to the 18th century, salons of captain families Florio and Ivelic from the 19th century, an ethnographic section, and the room with the historic arms.

The second floor is also divided into five rooms- the central hall featuring maritime equipment collection from the 17th and the 19th century, section on the well-known 12-century-old brother-hood of the Boka Navy, section on the World Wars I and II, maritime school education and Monte-negrin maritime, and the room dedicated to steam-shipping and the Jugocenija company.

In the summertime, the Maritime Museum’s working hours are from 08:00 to 22:00, and the museum is open all year round for individual visitors and organised groups, as well as for high delegations of var-ious countries. The museum regu-larly organises book promotions, painting exhibitions, concerts, and marks important events. In the summer months, the first floor terrace is also available for the organization of occasional cocktail parties.

DESCRiPTioNThe Sipcanik wine cellar was opened in late 2007. It is situated in the very heart of the largest single-complex vineyard in the entire Europe, spanning across 2.310 hectares with 11,5 million grapevines of both local and world famous varieties.

The impressive wine cellar is placed at average depth of over 30 meters under the ground. It has the shape of a tunnel, 356 meters long, with an average width of 13.5 meters and 7 meters height. The air temperature ranges between 17 and 19 degrees during the whole year, and humidity is 70-80%. In this unique wine cellar, across nearly 7.000 square meters surface, wine is kept aging in almost ideal and fully natural climate and technological conditions.

Two million liters of wine mature in wooden barrels and bottles, at every moment. The wine cellar also includes an archives with 28.000 bottles of wine up to 15

years old. A tasting room of 200 square meters has capacity of 50 seats and it’s fully equipped with technique (microphones, PA system, a projector and screen, laptop), this being an ideal venue for meetings, seminars and conferences.

Beside professional wine tasting and wine & food pairing programs, this wine cellar is an ideal place for different ceremonies, dinners and celebrations.In addition to conferences, seminars and team building programs, it is also possible to organize buffet cocktails in the cellar for up to 700 persons, waiter service included for the duration of the cocktail.
