The Honorary Secretary will hold Office from the day following termination of Annual General meeting at which he is elected to the termination of the second annual meeting. The Honorary Secretary will be eligible for immediate re-election for one more term of two years, i.e. up to a maximum of two consecutive terms. Thereafter he will be eligible for re-election after lapse of two years.

AdditionSecretary ElectTo create a post of Secretary Elect. The eligibility would be as for the existing Hon Secretary. Initially the post of Secretary Elect shall be for one year and the election to be held one year before the term of current Hon secretary ends. The term of the Hon Secretary would be for two years after the post of the Secretary Elect comes into force. Treasurer Report

Dear Members

Greetings from Bangalore

Wishing all of you a Happy and Prosperous New year 2015

It is my pleasant duty to present to you the audited statement of accounts for year ending 31st March 2014. The total membership of USI has been increasing every year and presently it is 3073 and few more would be added before I present it in the AGM.

The financial health of the society is in good health with the total assets reaching 5 crores. This year we had good number of academic activities done by the Board of Education, USI. We were able to generate finances for all these activities thanks to the academic grant from the industry specially Dr Reddys Lab.

Unfortunately we have not been able to fulfill the promise of e-voting this year due to legal problems although we have a robust software designed for this purpose. I am confident that we would be able to get it going in the coming year.

The central office of USI put in a lot of effort to update the addresses of the members this year. We have been able to update the addresses along with the photograph of 1733 members till date. My earnest request to all the members to please update your address .

I would like to thank our President, Dr Deepak Kirpekar, Hon Secretary Prof D Ramesh and all the council members for the help and support extended to me during the last year. I would like to thank staff of the central office and Mr Rahul for their help.

Looking forward to meet all of you at Ranchi for USICON 2015

Dr Keshavamurthy RTreasurer, [email protected]
