Driving Meals
Papa John’s Pizza At All Middle Schools
• The Papa John’s Pizza we are serving is a healthier version of the
retail pizza. We use whole-wheat pizza dough and a lower sodium
cheese.
• All Free and Reduced students may enjoy the pizza for their
discounted rate as long as they get a Combo Meal.
Lunch To Go Orders (Online Ordering)
• All elementary and middle school locations offer a special adult Lunch To Go menu.
• 781 orders placed this school year.
Expansion of High School Breakfast
• Full Java City menu available and offered.
• New menu items: Home-style Breakfast, Texas Waffles & Expanded A La Carte Options.
Fresh Ingredients
• Offer cage free eggs
• Use 100% beef
• Buy fresh local produce for our fresh fruit and vegetable carts

• All NISD food service employees received a merit increase along with a market adjustment.
Increased Recognition Programs
• Holiday recognition dinner.
• Valentine’s Day we gave a small treat with a note to all employees.
• Aramark employee appreciate day reward team with an apron.
• Monthly awards.
• Launched an employee newsletter.

Feedback & Parent ConcernsNew! Online Feedback
• All cafeterias have a “feedback” sign with the department’s contact information.
• Anyone can go online and submit anonymous feedback about our program or a school cafeteria.

What is Coming Next?
Increasing Service Speed
• Scanners were purchased for all elementary schools to expedite speed of service
New Brand Concept at the High Schools
• Testing different concepts at Eaton to gauge student acceptability to implement next school year.
Sushi at the High Schools
• Sushi representative will visit NISD on April 10th to begin discussion.
Expanding Catering Program
• Revamp catering menu to offer enhanced breakfast items, lunch/dinner buffet options, and more scratch made desserts.
Summer Programs
• First year of summer meals last year at Seven Hills
• Will continue this year and hoping to expand to an additional location
NISD Food Show
• Tuesday, April 30th at Eaton HS from 4:30 – 6:30 PM
• An informational night that allows parents to sample our menu offerings and learn about our program.

Student Experience
Aramark Lone Star Chef Competition
• Chef Anthony hosted a Northwest ISD Lone Star Chef Competition with Byron Bistro students. Eight teams had 30 minutes to create a “Food Truck Classic” dish.
• First place team was invited to the state competition at Minute Maid Park in Houston on March 29, 2019. The competition will feature 15 other teams from Aramark school districts.
Ace’s Jr. Chef Competition
• Elementary students use their creativity to develop an original, healthy recipe.
• Grand Prize winner will receive a Cooking Kit and the recipe will be featured at the Food Show and on the Elementary Menu.
• All students who enter the competition will receive the 2019 Ace Cookbook, a collection of this year’s submissions.
Jr. Cooking Academy
• Chef Anthony conducts a week-long cooking academy for NISD students during the summer.

Fill The Bus
• Collected over 12,900 pounds of food that
supported local community members. Both
Roanoke ES & Hughes ES collected over 3,000 lbs.
of food.
Reindeer Romp
• Aramark employees donated their time to work our
at the Reindeer Romp. We gave away hot
chocolate, hot apple cider, coffee & snacks to
participants.
United In Kindness
• Last year, we partnered with Beck PTA to
incorporate a food promotion based off United In
Kindness. This year, we expanded the promotion to
all elementary campuses
Eaton High School Big Event
• Aramark employees donate their time to work
prepare & serve meals for the Big Event volunteers.
We provide breakfast and lunch meals to all
volunteers.
Thanksgiving & Christmas Feasts
• We hosted 24 adult Thanksgiving & Christmas
Feasts. Our catering & leadership teams managed an
adult line for parents & school staff during normal
lunch service.

Partnership Review
• We successfully opened
Adams Middle School and
Curtis Elementary School.
• Curtis Elementary School
opened in August, but the
school had not completed
building the kitchen or serving
area. The Adams MS and
Curtis ES kitchen teams
worked together to prepared
breakfast and lunch meals at
Adams MS. Then our team
transported the food to Curtis
ES.
• On Nov. 13th, the kitchen and
serving area opened for our
team to prepare the meals
on-site. Three days after
opening, the team pulled
together and hosted a large
Thanksgiving Feast for all
Curtis Elementary School’s
parents and students.
