MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANISING CO–CHAIRMAN

It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest welcome to all delegates participating in the 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of Malaysian Society of Transplantation, which will be held at Pullman Hotel in Kuching, Sarawak from 17th to 19th of May 2011.

The theme for this year is Get It Right .... From The Start. It reflects the need to do the right thing correctly from the beginning. In the field of transplantation, it involves not only the management of donors and recipients but also management of their respective families. The scientific programme designed in this meeting will address this matter.

This year event is rather unique. It is the first time that we hold the meeting in East Malaysia. In addition to the interesting pre-congress workshop, plenary lectures, symposiums and gala dinner, we have also included Organ Donation Awareness Walk along the scenic and famous Sarawak River.

I wish to thank Ministry of Health of Malaysia, Sarawak Convention Bureau, President and Council Members of Malaysian Society of Transplantation, Roche and other sponsors who have given their support to make this event possible. I am truly grateful for the supports.

Once again, I welcome everyone and thanking you in advance for making the efforts to attend this meeting. Besides the meeting, I am sure everyone will enjoy the sights, sounds and flavours of Bumi Kenyalang. Thank you.
