Kiwalan Cove leads to the upland barangay of Kabacsanan which connectsto Brgy. Bonbonon, the Iligan City landfill site. The Iligan landfill site is about 200 meters amsl north of Brgy. Kabacsanan, the source ofits springwater.

Further south are barangays Acmac and Sta. Filomena along the Bayog River.

On Dec. 17, 2011 Bayog River flooded killing tens of thousands and destroying millions of property.
