ICRIER study on impact of organisedretailing on unorganised sector

(a) whether it is a fact that as perGovernment commissioned Indian Councilfor Research on International EconomicRelations (ICRIER) study on the impactof organised retailing on the unorganisedsector, only 12 per cent of those surveyedhad access to institutional credit forexpanding their business;

(b) whether it is a fact that as per theabove mentioned study, barely 10 per centof the unorganised retailers expressedwillingness to become franchisees oforganised retailers; and

(c) after the introduction of FDI inmulti-brand retail, how shall smallunorganised retailers be expected to surviveif they want their business to compete withmulti-brand retailers?
