Lucknow: Establish-ing direct communica-tion to ensure local par-ticipation, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has written a personal letter to all the ‘gram pradhans’ (village chiefs) request-ing them to intensify preventive measures in view of a probable third Covid-19 wave.

Yogi made a four-point appeal to new rural officials, say-ing, “We have to save people’s lives as well as their livelihoods.”

Stating that Uttar Pradesh has been able to control the second wave of Cov-id-19, he asked the gram pradhans to en-sure proper surveil-lance through the ‘surveillance commit-tees’ that have played a vital role in timely

identification and iso-lation of Covid pa-tients, curbing fur-ther spread in rural regions. Adityanath also advised the vil-lage heads to engage in mass plantation drives across their re-spective villages to

ensure no land is left vacant.

Concerned about any further Covid-19 spread in rural areas, the CM in his letter appealed to newly elected gram pradhans to generate awareness about the pandemic.

CM Yogi has expressed deep sorrow with regards to casual-

ties caused in Mirzapur due to lightning. He has directed the DM

to provide relief amounts to their families and get them treated

on a priority basis.

Lucknow : People of Kanpur Dehat district are excited over the up-coming visit of Presi-dent Ram Nath Kovind on June 25.

The fact that the President belongs to Paraunkh village in Kanpur Dehat has sent an electrifying feeling of pride among citi-zens across the district.

One of the most ex-cited persons and his best friend Satish Mishra talked to First India and reminisced the old times spent with Ram Nath Kovind.

Satish Mishra going down the memory lane recollected that he and Kovind met at BNSD College in Kanpur as college mates. The duo also pursued their edu-cation from DAV Col-

lege afterward. Mishra said that the

bond grew stronger when Kovind contested the Lok Sabha seat from Ghatampur in the year 1991. and had a chance to refresh the old times spent togeth-er. It was one of Ko-vind’s friends late Ke-dar Dwivedi, who in-troduced him to one Vireshwar Dwivedi

who was well connect-ed in the Sangh and introduced Mishra to Ashok Singhal.

Satish Mishra was also invited as a special guest during the swear-ing ceremony of Kovind as Governor of Bihar on August 8, 2015 He also attended Kovind’s swearing-in-ceremony as the President of In-dia on July 20, 2017.

Satish Mishra is a regular invitee in all family functions hosted by the President and is likely to meet him during his visit to his ancestral village on June 25.

Lucknow: With an eye on 2022 state assembly and to provide relief to Covid-hit people, the Yogi Adityanath gov-ernment has decided not to increase power tariff in 2021-22.

The government has however decided to meet the short fall of

revenue of UP Power Corporation Limited by doling out Rs 20,600 crore in the current fis-cal year.

While the UP Elec-tricity Regulatory Com-mission (UPERC) has been considering fresh proposal for tariff hike for the current year, which will be an-nounced by June-end,

the government’s move for financial assistance to UPPCL would help avoid burden on people. Cash-strapped corpora-tion is under deep fi-nancial crunch as it is

projected revenue re-quirement of Rs 81, 901 crore.

After the chief minis-ter Yogi Adityanath re-cently announced at a function that there will

be no power tariff hike, the additional chief sec-retary (energy) Alok Sinha wrote to UPERC asking it not to increase tariff rates to bridge corporation’s expendi-ture gap projected in an-nual revenue require-ment (ARR) proposal.

The corporation in its proposal had pro-jected its revenue need of Rs 81,901 crore of which it ex-pected to get Rs 60, 588 crore from cur-rent tariff and an ad-ditional amount of Rs

11, 650 crore as the government subsidy. This will leave a rev-enue gap of 9,663.38 crore.

The corporation said this gap will be in addi-tion to short fall of Rs 11,018 crore that UPERC needs to adjust to the UPPCL as carrying cost for the corporation get-ting less revenue in 2019-20.

Thus, the govern-ment told the UPERC that it will pay entire amount in lieu on no hike in tariff.

TEAM INDIA IN NEEDS OF AN OVERHAUL

he much-vaunted Team India lost to New Zealand, who played like true champions to lift the

first World Test Championship trophy. The Kiwis outplayed In-dia in every department of the game to expose the chinks in India’s batting and bowling. In fielding too the rivals proved better. In the batting depart-ment, Virat Kohli, the captain, in the first innings and to some extent Rishabh Pant in the sec-ond innings deserve mention. Their performances were not enough to see India emerge vic-torious. The bowlers were disap-pointing too, leading to ques-tions if Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Siraj Ahmed would have made a difference. If Jasprit Bumrah’s form remains below par, India will have problems against England.

True, the batting conditions favoured the Kiwis more but for a champion side this can’t be touted as the reason for poor showing. Will all this lead to an overhaul of the Test side? If changes do happen, players’ per-formance on green tops should be made a criterion.

T

arendra Modi’s first meeting with political leaders from Kashmir af-ter abrogation of

Article 370 turned out to be a success with all the leaders freely airing their views and the prime minister giving them a patient hearing. This was the first such meeting after the abrogation of Arti-cle 370 and a long detention of almost the entire political leadership of Kashmir. The process to restart the demo-cratic process has raised hopes for a new dawn in Kashmir although, as was ex-pected, the demand for state-hood and restoration of Arti-cle 370 was raised. The posi-tive aspect of the meeting was that all the leaders were pleased with New Delhi’s out-

reach effort to decide the fu-ture political course which includes early completion of the delimitation process fol-lowed by Assembly elections.

Before leaving for the meet-ing Mehbooba Mufti, former Chief Minister of Kashmir, cited India’s talks with a Tali-ban faction in Doha for includ-ing Pakistan in any initiative on the State. Fourteen politi-

cal leaders of different parties from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh participated in Thurs-day’s meeting. Importantly, Mehbooba’s condition on Pa-kistan’s inclusion did not find support from National Con-ference leader Farooq Abdul-lah and others. Pakistan, though, now has no role to play in the northern State In-dia is engaged in backstage talks with the neighbour prob-ably to discuss Afghanistan more than Kashmir.

On Article 270 the Kash-miri leaders have to wait for the Supreme Court’s verdict while ensuring that the chan-nel of talks remains open. They also have to decide whether to participate in the delimitation process to nar-row the distance between Delhi and Kashmir.

J&K STEPS TOWARDS A NEW BEGINNING

The process to restart the democratic

process has raised hopes for a new dawn in Kashmir although, as was expected, the demand for statehood and restoration of Article 370 was raised

N

e often hear ‘first impression is the last impression’ and many swear by it. Though some disagree and so do I. Many do believe life offers ample opportunities to make an impression and name for oneself through repeated it-erations if one fails in one vocation by shifting focus and succeeding in something altogether different. Usually, such possibilities are plenty provided one perseveres.

In the long journey towards ‘success’ people get a helping hand from their personal brand too. The essence of per-sonal branding has been suc-cinctly stated by Jeff Bezos in this quote: “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room.”

Metaphorically, the entire personal branding can hence be the duration you spend as you ‘enter the room’ creating a first impression and the moment you ‘leave the room’. It is during this available ‘im-pact slot’ that one leaves a personal aura behind for oth-ers to talk about.

The term Personal Brand-ing first appeared in an article written by Tom Peters in 1997

and can be broadly defined as a continuous process to de-velop and nurture an individ-ual’s name employing multi-ple strategies to keep it aglow.

If we do time travel, we learn that since ages the Japanese have believed in-dividuals own three faces:z The first, is shown to the world.z The second, is shown to close friends and family.z The third, one never shows to the world but usually remains the truest reflection of who one is!The personal brand that

one knowingly builds is usu-ally borrowed from the first and second faces. It rarely touches the third one. There are quite a few famous autobi-ographies that were pub-lished posthumously, aston-ishingly revealing nuances of the third face of those authors that the world never knew during their living days.

Purists have noted that the brand ‘You’ comprises four elements that coalesce seamlessly to give each in-dividual uniqueness that sets one apart from others. These are:z How others see you (Your Reputation)z What sets you apart from others (Your acquired USPs)z What makes you ‘You’ (Your Inherent Qualities)z How you want others to see you (Your target Image)Personal Branding is a con-

tinuous process to achieve a

distinguishing ‘mark’ that is created around your name. You use this ‘mark’ to express and communicate your natu-ral skills (inherent qualities), acquired expertise (USPs), val-ues you bring to the table (rep-utation), and personality thus formed therefrom (image).

Before arriving at a deci-sion to establish a personal brand three pertinent ques-tions need to be convinc-ingly answered. They are:z Why? (The purpose to have a personal brand)z To help one stand out from the crowd.z It could be a door opener leading to future opportuni-ties, often unexpected.z A strong personal brand imparts advanced informa-tion to the audience and their keenness to engage increases.z It helps to build one’s reputation thereby boosting

confidence manifold.z How? (The process to create a personal brand)z Building one’s brand is a continuous Work-In-Pro-gress (WIP). In this VUCA world, to position oneself uniquely vis-à-vis competi-tion, consistent augmenta-tion is needed both on skill sets and image.z Share your expertise gradu-ally. Build the momentum and generate interest amongst your target audi-ence proportionately.z If needed, employ the ‘trial and error’ method. Exhibit different traits of one’s per-sonality. See what clicks and works best but while doing so be true ‘you’.z Keep exploring till one discovers the sweet spot. Don’t hesitate to do course correction, learn and re-align the navigation as needed to ultimately arrive at the ‘final product’.z Make meaningful conversa-tion as you build the brand’s structure. Don’t just add to the noise or repeat what’s been already stated.z What? (The benefits to ac-crue from owning a strong personal brand)z Powerful personal brand helps one to grab larger mindshare resulting in faster recognition amongst peers.z Adds heft.z Helps to turbocharge one’s career and attract opportuni-ties from beyond the visible horizon.z Offers networking opportuni-ties with industry stalwarts.Having established a per-

sonal brand that often takes years to make, just like any other property, one needs to be extremely protective to safe-guard it: a) from rivals who could make sly attempts to tar-nish the brand and b) to protect it from slippages due to indi-vidual oversight or negligence.

Building a personal brand should be of interest to both rookies as well as seasoned professionals. Continuous moulding and adding facets should be an everlasting pas-sion. One should never be-come complacent and stop growing.

At the end let’s recollect a small anecdote: While draw-ing a sketch Michelangelo, considered the greatest Re-naissance artist of his age, scribbled “ancora imparo” meaning “I am still learning” at the age of 87 – buttresses the fact why his name (read personal brand) has re-mained immortal even after 500 odd years.

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gan-dhi on Thursday said the party must play an active role in ensuring full COVID-19 vaccina-tion coverage and ad-dress vaccine hesitan-cy wherever evident.

She also said that country needs to pre-pare for the possible third wave and take proactive measures so that children are spared this calamity.

Addressing a meet-ing of party general secretaries and in-charges of AICC in various states, she called upon party lead-ers and workers to con-tinue to put pressure on the union govern-ment to ensure that the daily rate of vac-cination trebles so that 75% of the population gets fully vaccinated by end of this year.

Her comments come

in the wake of the BJP accusing the Congress of aiding vaccine hesi-tancy. “On the pandem-ic, let me say that it is absolutely essential that our party plays an

active role in ensuring full vaccination cover-age. No doubt, this is dependent entirely on the adequacy of vac-cine supply,” she said addressing the party leaders virtually. ‘WE ARE NOT FROM AFGHANISTAN, HEAR US’

The protest against the 3-agricultural laws of the

central government by the farmers group has been going on for several months calling for its withdrawal yet there has been no compromise reached between the protesting farmers and the central government. Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union said that the farmers have been protesting peacefully on the border of Delhi-NCR for the last 7 months

and yet the government has not come forward to listen to the demands of the farmers, he even questioned if protests is useless in a democratic country. Rakesh Tikait who is leading the protest of the farmers on the Ghazipur border has severely criticized the central government for not coming forward for talks to resolve the issue of the farmers. During a press interaction, he even said that 4 lakh tractors and 25 lakh people were sitting in protest

were Indian nationals and not Afghanistan nationals, yet the Indian government is ignoring the protesters. It is noteworthy that

the farmers have been agitating for almost a year demanding complete repeal of all three agricultural laws. The farmers’ unions are adamant on the demand for repeal of all three agricultural laws, while the government says it is ready to make amendments as needed. The central government has indicated many times that farmers’ organizations should talk on legal points other than just demand the repeal of these laws.

FROM CAR TO BEKAAR

One rotten apple spoils the whole lot. Such is the

case with Mukhtar Ansari the tainted BSP MLA whose hands are soaked in blood and soul in corrupt practices. While Mukhtar’s involvement in crimes has been proven in the court for which he is serving the sentence in Banda jail these days, his close relatives and friend are bearing the brunt of the Uttar Pradesh police. The police are on a seizure spree of not only Mukhtar’s unlawfully accumulated properties but also of those who are in close contact of him. The UP police

have seized a luxury car of jailed BSP MLA Mukhtar Ansari, terming it “benami property”. Ansari’s car was seized from the house of his wife Afshan in Sayyidwada locality of Ghazipur Nagar after completing the legal process. The car is registered in the name of Vikas Constructions, a company in which Afshan holds a 60 per cent stake. Ansari’s brothers-in-law Anwar Shazad and Sharjeel Raza hold a 20 per cent stake each in the company, he said. Ansari, the legislator from Mau in eastern Uttar Pradesh, is facing 52 cases in Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere, and 15 of them are in the trial stage.

CASTE CONNECT: Parties gear up to woo Brahmins as poll bugle sounds

First India Bureau

Lucknow: As the as-sembly elections in the state are approaching, all the political parties have begun the calcula-tion of vote banks. All the parties are eyeing Brahmin votes. Getting Brahmin votes is the most challenging for all the parties. Though the number of Brahmin voters might not be as high as others, it still plays biggest role in the toppling and forming of a government.

The killing of mafia kingpin Vikas Dubey in an encounter in Kanpur last year grabbed head-lines. The police also showed no restrain in the scandal of Bikru as they killed six associ-

ates of Dubey in en-counters conducted all over the state. Most of these associates along with Vikas Dubey were from the Brahmin com-munity and the killing of Dubey was followed by flooding of posts on social media which hailed the gangster as ‘Brahmin protector’.

Soon after the death of Dubey, the focus sud-denly shifted to the Brahmin community in the politics of UP. BSP chief Mayawati ac-cused the Yogi govern-ment of increasing atrocities on Brahmins.

In August 2020, then senior Congress leader Jitin Prasada started a campaign to connect Brahmins through the organisation ‘Brahmin Chetna Parishad’ formed under his pa-tronage.

During the Corona transition, Jitin was in-volved in campaigns to project the Yogi govern-

ment as anti-Brahmin by communicating with Brahmin families on-line. Jitin even wrote to Chief Minister Yogi de-manding restoration of the holiday of Par-ashuram Jayanti, which was abolished by the BJP government in 2017.

The BJP was also worried about the Brah-

min community’s vot-ers which is why it opened its door to Jitin Prasada who is a known to commend a lot of re-spect in the Brahmin community. The BJP even before the 2017 as-sembly elections knew the importance of the Brahmin votes boosted in prospects by ensur-ing that senior Brah-min leader Brajesh Pathak of the BSP and Rita Bahuguna Joshi, then state president of the Congress joined the party in later half of 2016. Mayawati in order to get Brahmins to align with the party for the upcoming assembly elections has started forming brotherhood committees on the lines of 2005.

The BSP had thought if replicated the same social engineering of forming Dalit, Brahmin and OBC committees at the assembly level it would be able to form government against just like it did in the 2007 elections.

First India Bureau

Lucknow: The BJP is busy persuading its al-lies and fulfilling the promises made to them before the 2022 elections in the state. The party has given two seats to Apna Dal (S) for the up-coming election of the District Panchayat President in UP.

The BJP and central office bearers of Apna Dal(S) have come to a consensus that Apna Dal (S) will field its can-didate from the seats of Jaunpur and Sonbhad-ra. The candidates for these 2 seats will soon be announced by the central leadership of Apna Dal (S).

It is being speculated that for the seat of Dis-trict Panchayat Presi-dent in Jaunpur, Srika-la the wife of Dhanan-jay Singh can be given the candidature from

Apna Dal (S). Apna Dal (S) National President and MP Anupriya Patel has had a lot of meeting with BJP leadership in Delhi and UP for the past one month. She had demanded that her party be given four seats for the district

panchayat president but after negotiations the BJP has given two seats to Apna Dal(S)

The BJP has put an emphasis on keeping OBC vote bank together and as the vote bank of the Kurmi community is considered important among the OBC voters in UP. The BJP in order to appease the growing displeasure of Apna Dal (S) against it has de-cided to give the party 2 seats of District Pan-chayat Presidents

Demolish mosque to get piece of land: Hindu outfitFirst India Bureau

Lucknow: A Hindu out-fit Sri Krishna Janmab-humi Mukti Aandolan Samiti has moved an ap-plication before the Ma-thura court offering a piece of land [to the Muslim party/mosque’s management committee which is larger than the one on which the 17th century Shahi Masjid stands allegedly inside the Katra Keshav Dev temple complex.

The offer by the outfit has been made on a con-dition that the mosque’s management committee would have to voluntar-ily demolish the shrine on its own and has fur-ther offered the Com-mittee to resolve the is-sue amicably. Further, the offer refers to the 2019 judgment of the Su-preme Court in the Ram Janmabhoomi case where the court had ruled in favour of the Hindu parties but had asked the government to provide land to the Mus-lims for a mosque, in return.

The Aandolan Sami-ti has averred in its ap-plication, filed through Advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh that in case, the shrine is de-molished by the Mus-lim Party on its own, they would be giving a larger piece of land to the mosque manage-

ment committee out-side the Chaurasi Kos Parikarma circuit of the temple town.“We have decided to

give Intazamia Commit-tee a piece of land if at all they agree to this set-tlement,” said Advocate Singh.

Lucknow: Samajwa-di Party chief Akhli-lesh Yadav on Thursday accused the BJP of ruining the economy and said its short-sighted poli-cies were responsible for the rising unem-ployment. Hitting out at CM Yogi Adity-anath, he said despite holding investors’ summit, nothing has happened on the ground.

New Delhi: Union min-ister Ramdas Athawale has requested the BJP to make his Republican Party of India (Atha-wale) an ally in the up-coming assembly elec-tions in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand.

In a letter to BJP president J P Nadda, Athawale said the BJP should expand the Na-tional Democratic Alli-ance (NDA) to keep smaller parties togeth-er and that the RPI (Athawale) wishes to work as an ally of the

BJP in the Assembly elections scheduled for 2022.Noting that people across the country know that the RPI (Athawale) is an inte-gral part of the NDA, Athawale said in UP

the party can help in cutting votes of the BSP as the two parties share a common Dalit support base.

“My personal request to you is that if RPI (Athawale) is made an ally of BJP in UP, then it will help in cutting the votes of BSP.... If 8-10 seats are given to RPI by BJP, then BJP will get indirect benefit too,” the Union Minister of State of Social Justice & Empowerment said. “Therefore, I request you to give some seats to RPI (Athawale) in the upcoming assembly elections,” he wrote.

The BJP before the 2022 elections does not want to disturb its

relationship with its allies.

he deepest and truest se-crets of colour effect are invisible even to the eye and are beheld by the heart alone.” -By Jo-hannes Itten

Everyone’s got their days when they’re feeling down—for me, it’s Friday, when I know my week off is almost up, or my favourite series is over. But do you know there are colours to wear when you’re feeling down, though, that can improve your look?

I personally like the idea of red dresses because it shows confi-dence & strength. Red is an emotionally charged colour as it is the colour of blood and life. It is associ-ated with pow-er, vibrancy, love, confi-dence and pas-sion. The col-our can lift your emo-tions, bring courage and even spike

your blood pressure. If you are in a sad mood, red can give you a surge of energy where there is a lack. People who lack confidence may choose the colour red to help them have an edge.

Want to get someone’s atten-tion? Red is your colour! The col-our red empowers and draws at-tention toward the wearer. It’s also strongly associated with romance and passion, making it a perfect date-night colour. It is indeed con-sidered more attractive than other colours and a study claims that women wearing red rated more attractive, then why not go with red.

Whether you’re choosing lip-stick or attire, don’t grab a dar-ing hue unless you’re feeling

adventurous and want to make a

statement. The colour Red rep-

resents all things em-phatic – stop signs, fire trucks, Won-der Wom-an’s cos-tume, Lou-boutin’s shoe sole, and our f a v o u r i t e heart emoji.

City First brings to you the catchy...the sexy...the dominant colour- Red. And how you can use it to pep up your mood and conquer the world!

Horoscope by Saurabbh Sachdeva

THE CREATININE THE CREATININE TREATMENTTREATMENT

even days of treat-ment if the creati-nine level is in-creased due to co-rona infection. Creatinine is a metabolic sub-

stance that breaks down and turns into creatinine while helping to convert food into energy, although your kidneys filter creati-nine and remove it from the blood, after which this waste substance is re-moved from the urine. It goes out of the body along with it, but some health-related problems hinder this function of the kidney, due to which creatinine is not able to come out and its level starts increasing in the blood. There are many ways in which you can re-duce the increased creati-nine level, for this you will have to make changes in

diet and some changes in lifestyle and take medicine etc.

First, you should get a Creatinine clearance test (a type of test) done, which shows how much creati-nine is in your urine, the amount of creatinine in your blood should be less and more in your urine normal blood creatinine.

WHAT IS RENAL FAILURE OR IMPAIRMENTIf your kidneys are dam-aged, they cannot filter creatinine out of your body by glomerular filtra-tion as they normally do.

FILTRATION

1At present, due to the condition of corona or

other infection, sodium be-ing taken in excess in the body starts accumulating fluid in the body and to the level which is harmful to health, due to which high BP starts happening due to both these reasons. Creati-nine level may increase.

2 Avoid the consumption of all those food items

in which protein is availa-ble in high quantity.

3 The creatinine ob-tained through most

animal products is not so harmful, but those who are

already suffering from this problem should avoid tak-ing it, save yourself from red meat and processed food - your diet Having an excess of cooked meat can also increase the amount of Creatinine in your body.

4 Any type of distur-bance in the thyroid

can affect the function of your kidneys. Hypothy-roidism can reduce your kidney’s ability to filter key-waste substances smoothly.

5 When there is not enough water in your

body, then the production of urine also decreases, be-

cause creatinine comes out of the body along with urine, so it becomes diffi-cult to get out of creatinine when there is a lack of urine.

6 Increasing creatinine is a sign of kidney diseas-

es, if it increases more, regular dialysis of the kid-ney has to be done, if still there is no relief, then it is possible to get a kidney transplant done. What to do? Remedy:Along with micro acupres-sure, take herbal remedies. This use of neem acacia and peepal is very effective in increasing creatinine,

increased creatinine can be correct in a week mate-rials.

Neem tree bark, Peepal tree bark, the bark of aca-cia native tree. Heat 10 grams of neem bark, 10 grams of acacia bark and 10 grams of peepal bark in three glasses of water, boil it till it becomes half and make a decoction, now you divide this decoction into 3-4 parts a day and keep consuming it.

PATIENT’S WORDSMy best friend Santosh

Sharma, his wife Indira Sharma, aged 50, suddenly

had back and stomach pain and urination stopped, vomiting contin-ued, the family members thought it as a heat stroke. It all happened on May 1, 2021. She was taken to hos-pital..where, it was found that creatinine has in-creased, to 4.6. At the same time, he decided to shift the patient to a urology specialist. s the clouds turned grey in Southampton, the chances of team India winning the World Test Champi-onship trophy washed away. With Kane Wil-

liamson at the helm, New Zea-land defeated India by eight wickets at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton on June 23, win-ning the inaugural trophy.

Curtailed by the rains, the final WTC match turned out disappointing for India as Kohli and Pujara were caught napping by the Kiwi pacers, the tall order of India’s skill-ful batters fell like nine pins. As bowling all-rounder, Ravi Chandran Ashwin rose to the occasion to save the ship of the Indian team by taking two important wickets, Kane Wil-liamson and Ross Taylor steered the wheel of a win in New Zealand’s favour with

their 93 run partnership. As India gave up a position

of strength on day 6- the re-serve day, setting a low target of 139 runs, City First asked a few cricket players and en-thusiasts how they saw In-dia’s defeat.

Owais Siddiqui, an ex U-16 National and U-19 Lucknow Mandal player, said, “As of 1st

inning intent of winning was clearly showing on India’s side but in the 2nd inning,

there was a lack of inten-tion. 50-70 more runs in the second inning could have

changed the results.” He add-ed, “While playing in England conditions, we needed a pacer all-rounder like Hardik Pan-dya who can bowl and can give runs when needed.”

On the other hand, Rachit Trehan, an actor and cricket enthusiast, said, “Team selec-tion was good, but weather conditions were not in favour of India. But, Virat Kohli is the backbone of the Indian team. He will surely win a WC. It was not their day, but they will be back stronger.”

Another cricket buff, Aaquib Siddiqui, said, “India enjoyed an upper hand until the game pushed to a reserved

day which became futile as the batting lineup fell to its face at a low score, plus, the weather conditions hampered the game. Anyway, the men in blue will outshine in the up-coming ICC T20 World Cup under the leadership of Koh-li.”

Akshdeep Nath, Ex-captain, U.P. Ranji Team and ex-player of Royal Challengers Banga-lore, said, “WTC final match was an unfortunate event, as the top-ranking team, India caught the light of the bitter weather conditions. Although Indian batsman will regret not playing to potential in 2nd innings. India can be proud of the way they played the WTC cycle and prepare to bring home the ICC World T20 cup, later this year under the excel-lent supervision of captain Virat Kohli.”

CITY BUZZGET VACCINATED

STAY MASKED

Back in the days, where monetary value wasn’t rec-ognised, what fol-

lowed in the exchange of materials was Barter System. With time, the barter system was re-placed with the introduc-tion of Coins, many of which we often see in historical museums. What came next was pa-per-weight currency, well in a brief, although there were and are still many other modes of exchang-ing goods. The recent in-troduction in the medi-um of exchange is Cryp-tocurrency. Defined as the digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange wherein indi-vidual coin ownership records are stored in a ledger existing in a form of a computerized data-base using strong cryp-tography. City First spoke to youngsters fetching their views about the new currency.

“Cryptocurrency is the future of transaction, we are still in the initial phase of it. One will feel FOMO after 5 years if they don’t own any crypto, as in de-veloped nations many big brands have started ac-cepting crypto for their products and services. It is

very much applicable in vastly populated countries like India, but people here have always trust issues regarding any new things, but the newer gen is a risk-taker and the last year hike has raised many eyebrows of youngsters as well as well

established investors, but the government keeps changing its views on crypto in India, that is the reason why many people are hesitating before enter-ing in it, full-fledged.” —Amar Mishra

“There was a time when there used to be real pictures as hard copies rather than just the dig-ital format of the same, I be-lieve the same had happened with the currency. My belief holds very little importance until and unless I am able to use it as much as currency.”

—Ishika Saini

“Digital currency is good. In fact, Google Pay and PayTM were my refuge when Notebandi was intro-duced and especially when the Coronavirus pan-demic began. But, I also feel that there are chances that once an account is hacked all the digital mon-ey will be gone forever!” —Praveen Nirwan

Martolia Films launched a soul-stirring film, ‘Rick-

shawala’ recently.The film revolves

around human sensi-bilities and gives an emotional angle to the film. Vijay Singh Mar-tolia, the filmmaker exclusively shared his experiences and the film plot with First In-dia. He said, “Ricksha-wala is a short film which is extremely close to my heart. I am overwhelmed with the

response and love re-ceived from the audi-ence. Director and writer Dheeraj Singh has shown the pain and struggles of Rick-shaw pullers beauti-fully in this 32-minute short film.” He further added, “In our busy lives, we often fail to acknowledge the diffi-culties faced by the poor section of the so-

ciety, be it labourers or Rickshaw pullers. And with the increasing and fast means of road transport, the employ-ment of Rickshaw pullers have gone to-wards termination. We have to connect them with other jobs. This is the core mes-sage of the film.” The film is currently avail-able on MX player.
