Online applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. programme from the candidates

who have qualified in UGC-NET/NET-JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/GSET/GATE/GPAT/ICAR /INSPIRE fellowship/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil(who has admitted through university entrance test). Applicants seeking admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) of the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, should hold recognized Master’s degree or a degree recognized equivalent to Master’s degree, with at least 55% in aggregate or equivalent marks/grades in the respective subjects to be eligible. SC/ST/OBC candidate will get 5% relaxation.

Online Application form is available from the University website spuvvn.edu/student corner/admission/phd/ from 06/10/2021 to 16/10/2021.

The hard copy of online application form duly completed in all respect (along with all educational mark sheets, and other required certificate) should be verify and submit in person to Room No. 117, University office, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyangar before 18/10/2021 4.00pm.

Students who are out of Gujarat State University (OTG) and are not able to appear in person to submit the form, can submit their forms alongwith necessary documents by registered post in such a way that it should be reached to the Registrar, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyangar before 20/10/2021 4.00pm.

Note: At the time of filling up the online form, the student has to give his / her own mobile number as well as email ID. Do not give the mobile number or email ID of the cyber cafe owner.

As well as all the original documents must be brought together for verification. 1) The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given in Notification carefully and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the admission before filling the application form.

2) The candidates must check the availability of vacant seat for the subject for which they want to apply. 3) Applicants for admission to Ph.D shall be required to have a minimum of 55%(SC/ST/OBC candidate will get 5%

relaxation), score under any evaluation system at the Master’s level in the subject concerned.

4) A candidates having M.Phil degree (who has admitted through university entrance test) or UGC-NET/NET-JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/GSET/GATE/GPAT/ICAR/INSPIRE fellowship/Teacher Fellowship qualified are exempted from the Entrance Test and need to fill up under non Entrance test Category.

5) The Application Processing Fee and Entrance Test Fees can be remitted through Online payment. The Application and Entrance test fees will not refunded.

6) Students who are SPU and OUG can submit their online application form duly completed in all respect should be verify and submit in person to Room No. 117, University office, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyangar before 18/10/2021 4.00pm.

University authority will not be responsible for any loss of your belonging. 12) Candidates Shall not be allowed to write any question from the Test Booklet on or on any other paper. 13) Qualifying the Entrance Test would not confer a right on any person for admission as it is only one of the eligibility

criteria for admission. 14) There is no provision for re-evaluation & re-assessment of answer sheets. 15) The University reserves the rights to increase or decrease vacant seats for admission without prior notice. 16) Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the candidate. 17) A candidate who is qualified for Ph.D. admission has to submit and present his/her research proposal at the time of

counseling with all Original documents. 18) Application forms with incomplete information will not be consider for admission process. 19) A candidate who is working as Part Time/Full Time job, and is selected for Ph.D. admission have to submit the NOC

from present employer. 20) A candidate who is selected for Ph.D. admission has to complete Ph.D. Course Work as per University R.Ph.D. rules. 21) No candidate shall be allowed to register simultaneously for any other course after registering for Ph. D. If, at any

point in time, it is found to be otherwise, his/her admission shall ipso facto stand cancelled, and all the fees and deposits paid by the candidate shall stand forfeited.

22) The decision of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor shall be final on any dispute.

(Note : Those Students who have cleared the Ph.D. Entrance Test in First Session of Academic Year 2016-2017 and onwards are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance test and need not to appear in entrance test. Students have to apply in Non Entrance Test Category subject to the availability of seats.)

Guidelines on Online Application for Admissions to Ph.D. (First Session) Programmes for Academic Year 2021-22

The Procedure for Online Application and Application Fee:

Sardar Patel University will accept online applications for admission to its Ph.D. programmes in the context of its recent advertisement. Any applicant will be able to fill-up his/her Online Admission Form between on 07/10/2021 12.00noon to 20/10/2021 on university website : www. spuvvn.edu/student-s_corner/admissions/phd/ by following Step (1) to Step (20) in sequential order. The application will be treated as valid only after the receipt of the application along with necessary documents and fee receipt in the University. 1 Go to spuvvn.edu/student_corner/admission/phd/ 2 The applicant will need a personal E-mail ID. 3 Keep ready on hand a scanned photograph of Maximum 150 kb in jpg Format. 4 For Registration click on Apply Now and Select the appropriate Faculty, Programme. Read the Terms

and Conditions, and click on I Agree, and then click on register on to register on a Ph.D. programme. 5 Complete the section on Personal Details, upload photograph in jpg Format, and click on Save &

Proceed button. Saving will ensure Registration. 6 The Application No. and Password will be sent to the applicants e-mail ID, which he/she can access

in order to continue further with the procedure. (Note: Having completed the Registration, the applicant is advised to change the Password using the Change Password option.)

7 Return to the main page, and click on Fill & Edit Application Form, by providing Application No.

and Password e-mailed to the e-mail ID to complete the application form there onwards. 8 Click Edit Application. Complete the sections on Personal Details, Criteria Details, Academic

Details, and Attachment Details. 9 Read Criteria details for SPU, OUG, OTG in their full form, and choose the relevant option. 10 Complete the necessary Postal Details, and make sure to provide Mobile/Contact Number in this

section. 11 Go to the section on Academic Details. Click Add Qualifications to provide the details of Post

Graduation degree. Click the Edit button if there is a need for making any change or modification. 12 Kindly tick mark in relevant field in Attachment details. 13 Having filled all the relevant details in the Application Form, click the Save & Exit button to get

details of Registration Status. 14 Modify, if necessary, the Application Form before its submission it for its further processing. 15 Click on Submit Application Form. Read the Declaration and the relevant information

(Undertaking) and click I Agree. Then click the Submit Application Form button. No request for modification of the Application Form will be entertained thereafter.

16 Follow the payment online method and make a payment and take a print-out. Application Forms submitted without application fee will not be entertained at all.

17 Check the Application Summary to ascertain that Application Form has all the information, take a

print-out of the Application Form. 18 Students who are SPU and OUG can submit their online application form duly completed in all respect should be verify

and submit in person to Room No. 117, University office, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyangar before 18/10/2021 4.00pm.

Students who are out of Gujarat State University (OTG) and are not able to appear in person to submit the form, can submit their forms along with necessary documents by registered post in such a way that it should be reached to the Registrar, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyangar before 20/10/2021 4.00pm.

19 Click the Log Out button. 20 Special Note:

1) Only after successfully completion of Ph.D. Course work student will be registered for Ph.D. Programme.

2) All applicants are informed in advance that admission will be entirely on Merit and will be confirmed only after the Original Documents are verified.

3) Application forms with incomplete information will not be consider for admission process, 4) Candidates are requested to visit University Websites regularly for updates, No personal

communication will be send for admission counselling.
