Our purpose is to brighten the lives of those around us with our witt y, colourful yet ti meless designs. We have a highly talented inhouse creati ve design team, who conti nue to impress

us year-on-year with new designs.

We conti nue to bring to you your favourite Ulster Weavers collecti ons whilst always striving to evolve and inspire. We have listened to our customer feedback and we hope you are

pleased with the exciti ng changes we have made this year.

The Ulster Weavers 2019 collecti on defi nes what our design approach is, trusted quality and modern on trend collecti ons. The epitome of this is our Heritage 1880 Linen range. Inspired

by our linen heritage, this collecti on conti nues our story of innovati on. Rich texture and unexpected splashes of colour. Each item features denim styling with leather tabs and brass

fi xings. Elsewhere in the 2019 collecti ons, bright colours and animal prints dominate our designs with a strong focus on creati ng exciti ng new products for our customers.

We are also excited to be launching a new children’s range, Litt le Weavers. This collecti on includes an extension of our some of our new 2019 ranges, and includes unique designs

aimed to spark a sense of adventure, creati vity & fun within our litt lest fan base!

You will fi nd our home fragrance, travel bag & fashion accessories brands LoveOlli and StoryHorse in our catalogue too this year, to further increase our product off ering to you.

A colourful twist on one of your favourite farm animals, with their mustard and grey wool the Dott y Sheep are a unique fl ock.

The Dott y Sheep started life on Jennie’s farm in the Craigantlet Hills near Holywood. The farmer loved the Dott y Sheep and brought them special food every day. Soon the other sheep became very jealous. It was not longbefore a plan was hatched to remove them from the farm…

Late one night, when the Dott y Sheep were fast asleep, the sheep brought the Foraging Foxes to the sheep’s cozy beds.

The Roosters let out a loud ‘cock-a-doodle-do!’, waking up the Dott y Sheep to a frightf ul sight. They ran away from the farm as fast as their litt le legs would take them.

Found in our archives this print has been given a new lease of life by adding a punchy white background and a bright look to the lemons.

1880 LINEN RANGEWhen Ulster Weavers was founded in 1880, our objective was to be the provider of the highest quality linens produced in Ireland. Ulster Weavers quickly became synonymous with Irish linen production and expanded throughout the late 19th and early 20th century with factories in Armagh, Antrim and Down. (fig. 1). The flax fibre was harvested from the fields and bound (fig. 2) before being sent to the factory where it was spun and weaved to make the cloth. Inspired by our linen heritage, a heritage that we are immensely proud of, this collection continues our story of innovation. Rich texture and unexpected splashes of colour characterise our 1880 collection. The coral, indigo and grey ranges in this collection will add a subtle sense of style to any kitchen, while the unbleached linen fabric adds a touch of classical Irish texture. Each item features denim styling with leather tabs (fig. 3) and brass fixings (fig. 4). The utilitarian design ensures that this collection is practical and hardwearing.

Having studied fashion and design

in the UK and USA Helena has

worked for Ulster Weavers for 12

years. Throughout this ti me, she has

worked to create some of our most

popular collecti ons and on a variety of

bespoke projects for our customers.

Helena fi nds inspirati on from forest

walks and the natural geometry and

symmetry within nature. She uses a

variety of arti sti c techniques in her

creati ons, such as Japanese brush

strokes in the Melody collecti on.

A fashion and texti le graduate from Northumbria University Jennie has been designing for Ulster Weavers for over 6 years. Her inspirati on for this year’s designs come from the magic of the outdoors and her collecti on of vintage books with beauti ful covers. This is prevalent through her Wildwood collecti on where each animal has an enchanted quality

Jennie spends her spare ti me in the kitchen creati ng recipes from around the world. Currently she is exploring Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Growing up on the West Coast of

Ireland Mona was encouraged from

a young age to design and draw.

Having worked with world renowned

Haute Couture designers in Europe

she moved back to Ireland to work for

Ulster Weavers.

Monas favourite design from this year’s

collecti on is Menagerie. The vibrant

and eye-catching design appeals to her

love of animal print.

Hannah found herself drawn to texti les, and having studied for a degree at Ulster University, began to perfect her method by designing restaurant interiors throughout the UK and Ireland.

Inspired by the varying textures and colours of nature her favourite design in this collecti on is Menagerie. Its bright colour palett e and hidden animals appeal to her love for nature and vintage William Morris designs.
