NTU is a vast campus, with the academic buildings situated centrally and lined by halls ofresidence and various other amenities along the peripheral. Walking may be an option, but inthis weather? Get to know the campus shuttle services that might just be a tad more (definitely)convenient.

DON'T GET LOST ON CAMPUS!

TIP!For students who use the public buses frequently, getting the concession card fortertiary students may be a beneficial step in keeping your monthly expenditure low!

In NTU, classes are primarily split into Lectures, Tutorials and Lab Sessions.

Lectures are usually held in Lecture Theatres (LT) and can usually range from 1 to 3 hours.

Tutorials are teaching sessions in smaller ‘tutorial groups’ that start from week 2 that usually involve assignments or readings to be done. These are usually held in Tutorial Rooms (TRs) and are generally 1-2 hours. Where lectures may be more on listening and note taking, tutorials are where questions are clarified.

Courses may also have Laboratory Sessions, which may be held outdoors or in Labs that are generally locatedwithin the faculty buildings. These are generally 3 hours per session and involve more hands on approach.
