Mr. G.N. Ambe holds a Bachelors degree in fine Arts in painting from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya ,

Pune – India, where he was a gold medalist . He also holds post graduate diploma in fine Art

education and fine art teacher diploma. He has also registered for his PhD in fine arts in Pune

University. The artist lives and works at Pune. The artist has a greater contribution in social work and

has been working since many years for Redcross, Pune and Kamyani school with handicapped, deaf

and mentally retarded children.

He is also working for the upliftment of these special people by empowering them with the

special skills in handicraft, sculptures and painting . He has a great work experience and is master of

sculptures. He has handled many different medium like water colors, oil and acrylic for paintings and

terracotta, plaster of Paris, fiber and bronze for sculptures successfully. So he is a man of many hues.

His keen interest in Art blossomed at a very tender age of ten when he started painting traditional art

on the walls of houses and temples at his native place. Since he is from a remote village, he likes to

accept challenges and was able to complete many difficult projects. He has been honored with many

awards and many of his illustrations and paintings are exclusively selected for the covers of different

books, novels and magazines. He always keeps 300-400 paintings ready in his studio. However his aim

is to cross national boundaries and hold an international exhibition.
