• National Digital Library (NDL) subscription details

SDMCET Digital Library helps to access digital content on the campus wide network. It also supports

e-learning to the students. It has Scanned copies of previous years Question papers archived on the

SDMCET Digital Library and digital content which can be accessed on intranet. E-Archiving using

Technofocuz digital library facility supports students and library users for accessing digital content. The

digital library also supports archiving of e- resources and e-notes.

NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY OF INDIA (NDL)

NDLI is an initiative of Ministry of Education through its National Mission on Education through

Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) to develop the pilot of a National Digital

Library. The charter is to build a virtual repository of learning resources that are available in digital form

and provide single-window search portal to facilitate focused searching so that learners can retrieve the

right resource with least effort in minimum time. It is being developed and hosted at IIT Kharagpur.

SDMCET is also a member of NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY OF INDIA SINCE 2017.

The students are encouraged to take online courses like MOOCs and NPTEL for value addition. The

faculty members are creating a digital learning material and will be made available to the students

through YouTube‟s and college website. The faculty members also make use of digitally enabled class

rooms.

During pandemic period the college initiated online teaching to sustain academic and evaluation

activities. The faculty members practiced different modes of teaching based on the nature of courses

such as:

Using meeting platforms like Google, Zoom, CiscoWebex to conduct interactive classes. The

required infrastructure like tripod stand, high resolution camera and a computer system is created

in each and every class room.

The faculty members also created the prerecorded talks and made available to the students

through Whatsapp in groups and in the college website.

The learning material in the form of pdf and ppt is also provided.

The recorded video of laboratory experiments is made available in the college website.
