Departmental Achievements 1. Thirteen Industries visited for campus drive in which Sixteen

students are placed.

2. Profound Java training course, Android training and GTT

soft skill training was conducted for TE and BE students.

3. Department has organized employability tests for final year

students. Students participated in project competitions

conducted by industries like Wipro earthian, KPIT sparkle,

Accenture innovation jocky, TCS codevita, google Apactest

etc. In KPIT, sparkle college stood second in pune region and

tenth in all over india.

4. Five students of final year scored valid gate score in GATE

2016-2017. Mr. Amey Pachpute scored valid CMAT score in

CMAT 2016-2017.

5. Mr. Jenith Patel and group filed a patent based on their

project “Android battery sharing”.

6. Mr. Akash Aher (TE Comp) has launched his website

“https://www.technobucket.com” which is based on theme E-

magazine, latest technology, tutorials etc.

7. Mr. Yuvraj Pawar completed CEH -v9 (Certified Ethical

Hacker) by EC-Council USA.

8. 30 Students were winner in various programming, paper

presentation and project competition held at various colleges in

the university.

9. 10 students were part of Sanjivani COE winning team in

various sports activities organized at zonal and university level

like Lawn Tennis, Baseball, Handball, Chess and Badminton.

11. Dr. A.B Pawar has received ISTE Best Engineering

College Teacher award for Maharashtra state for the year 2016.

Departmental Achievements 1. Due to Excellent performance as a Super Resource

Centre, our Institute is now promoted to “Knowledge

Center” from Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay. We

are the First in India to become Knowledge Hub and

conducted a “Train the Teachers Program” with 65+

participants from different nearby schools.

2. “Hobby Club” is started in the department for the

students who have keen interest in electronic repair and

maintenance.

3. E-Yantra Lab: We have set up Robotics Laboratory in

association with IIT, Bombay. As a initiative under this

Professional activities CSI:

It gives us a great joy to announce that the CSI

accredited student wing was formed in our college

with total 219 students form TEIT and TE

Computer. The second-year students of I.T &

Computer will become a part of this wing very

soon. We are hopeful that this student wing will

reach new heights by organizing thoughtful events

and knowledge enrichment programs.

The First event conducted was Ink and Paper.

Objective of the event was to improve Technical

and Logical skills of students. Total 21 students

participated in the event. It was conducted on 4

Jan 2018. Ms. Mahima Agrawal (TE Comp) and

Mr. Sahil Gaikwad (TE Comp) was the winner

and Mr. Samir Malik (BE IT) and Ms. Gayatri

Chaudhari (BE IT) was the runner up.

The Second event conducted was DB-Mania.

Objective of the event was to improve Technical

skills of students. Total 67 students participated in

the event. It was conducted on 1 Feb 2018. Mr.

Kaushal Sharma (TE Comp) and Mr.Omkar Sahane (TE Comp) was the winner and Mr. Shoaib Shaikh (TE Comp) and Mr.Vaibhav Chavan (TE Comp) was the runner up.

The Third event conducted was IoT Workshop. Total 27 students from IT, Comp and E&TC participated in the event. It was conducted on

and 17 Feb 2018. Objective of this workshop was to improve the Technical, Application oriented skills of student.

The forth event conducted was Crypt your mind. Objective of the event was to improve Technical skills of students. Total 31 students participated in the event. It was conducted on 2 Mar 2018. Ms. Chaudhari Gayatri (BE IT) was the winner and Ms. Teke Priyanka (TE Comp) and Ms. Aher Pooja (TE Comp) were runner up.

The last event conducted was Technical Aptitude. Total 31 students from IT and Comp participated in the event. Objective of the event was to improve Technical Aptitude skill of the students. ITERA:

Guest lecture of Mr. Yogesh Shrisath, Alumni of 2017 batch working as Developer at Wisdm Pvt. Ltd. Pune. Was organized on the topic “Role of IT Engineer in IT Industry” for BE IT students on 30 December 2017. For the guest lecture, 48 students were present.

Guest lecture of Kumar Siddharth, Deputy Manager, SBI bank Kopargaon. Was organized on the topic “Recruitment process in Government Banks” for SE IT & TE IT students on 3 February 2018. For the guest lecture, 77 students were present.

Guest lecture of Adv. M. P. Yeole was organized

on the topic “Intellectual Property Rights & Patenting” for SE IT & TE IT students on 3 February 2018. For the guest lecture, 82 students were present.

Sport event was conducted under ITERA for boy’s football was organized and for girls badminton was organized on ninth & 10th February 2018. For the event, 14 girls and 23 boys’ total 37 students participated. For football TE IT students were winner and BE IT students were runner up and for badminton Mayuri Deshmukh (BE IT) & Ankita Sonawane (BE IT) were winner and Runner-Up were Aishwarya Dhormare (TE IT) & Sayali Deshmukh (BE IT)

Poster Presentation was organized under ITERA on 16 February 2018, for the event, 16 students participated. Winners were Sonali Zunge from SE IT, Yogesh Dusane from TE IT and Suraksha Jadhav from BE IT.

C Coding Competition was organized under ITERA on 17 March 2018, 15 students participated. Winners were Sayyad Sajid from SE IT, Rizwan Pathan from TE IT and Jishan Khan from BE IT.

.Miss. Sabale Shubhangi from (B.E Civil) scored first

cost water purifier” for portable water for rural

Innovative Reforms

Short Term Courses (STC): Besides regular teaching learning, faculty members are involved in

conducting various short term courses on various cutting edge technologies for the students.

Capsule Courses (CC): Understanding the needs of Industry requirements, every Department

has designed capsule courses for the students. Idea is to develop domain expertise of students in

various technical fields. For example, under train hire program offered by Xento systems, Pune,

Department of Computer Engineering has designed a capsule course on “Web Programming

using PHP and HTML” as per the requirement given by Xento. So far, more than 15 capsule

courses are designed and conducted by various Departments.

Content beyond Syllabus (CBS): To bridge the knowledge and curriculum gap between

Industry and academia, every faculty member delivers at least two lecture sessions as a part of

regular teaching which is beyond the scope of syllabus. Considering latest development and

technology up gradation related to the area and scope of the subject, faculty members identifies

the gap and highlights these upgrades in CBS sessions.

Project Based Learning (PBL): Under this innovative reform, problems related to society

needs are identified and being developed as Mini Projects from students. Understanding scope,

need, requirement and objectives are explored where students could able to design and develop

prototype model of the project. Concept of Project Management and development process from

prototype model to a product is well explored by faculty under PBL. This helps in developing

hands on technical skills among students.

Online Courses (OC): Faculty members are encouraged to complete online courses based on

various technologies as per their expertise offered by NPTEL, ALLISON etc. These courses are

sponsored by Institute, which helps in upgrading the knowledge among the faculty. Faculty

members of different Departments complete more than 150 such courses.

FDPs and STTP Training: Faculty members are also encouraged and sponsored by the

Institute to attend FDPs and STTPs based on various technologies and soft skills to upgrade

their skill sets, which helps in guiding students in better way for their overall developments.

Every faculty member attends at least one FDP/STTP in an academic year.

Elite Mentorships (EM): Under Mentorship scheme, every faculty member look after the

overall development of about 20 students each right from his/her admission till passed out for a

span of 4 years. Regular sessions for the soft-skill developments of students are conducted.

Besides this, in every department under EM, senior faculties including Heads identifies around

40 to 50 bright students for special guidance toward their employability skill developments

which can directly help them in placements. These mentees are called as Elite Mentees.

Industry Institution Linkages (IIL): To keep pace of recent upgrades in different technologies

across the different streams, every Department has established IIL by signing different MOUs.

This helps to remove the Industry- Institution gaps and facilitates the knowledge up gradations

among the faculty and students by means of Industry visits and trainings, student internships,

sponsored projects, expert lectures and seminars, and helpful for student placements. Further,

for industry connects, Institute has started SAP training centre and RED HAT Academy centre

for students. Department of E&TC has set up E-Yantra Lab, Knowledge Centre of Spoken

Tutorial in association with IIT Bombay and Centre of Excellence in association with Texas

Instruments.

Under the flagship of Sanjivani, Institute has started three different activities to connect the

Industry and the senior Alumni: Sanjivani Thought Leaders (STL), Sanjivani i-Connect (SiC)

and My Story Board (MSB).

Research & Development (R&D): Faculty members upgrade their knowledge through various

R&D activities, which includes paper publications in reputed journals, preparing research

proposals to different funding schemes like AICTE, DST, BCUD etc., development of industry-

based projects along with students, and IPR Patents. Few faculty members are also involved in

In-house software and product developments along with consultancy work.

Student Forums: Besides the various professional body and student association chapters, every

Department has established few innovative clubs for the students. The main objective behind

these forums is to motivate and guide them on latest technologies and practice hands on to

develop small applications/systems giving flavour of product developments. Like Department

of Mechanical Engineering has started IoT Club, Computer has started Research Innovation

Development (RID) and Google Developers Student Club (DSC) and Civil Department has

started Dr. APJ Kalam Research Forum.

Problem Solving through Tutorials: Problem base learning is explored by means of tutorials

where design based and logical questions, which stimulate the thinking ability of students, are

included. Students asked to bring standard Text and reference books and solve these tutorials.

This helps in developing conceptual and self-understanding which also helps in developing

writing skills.

ICT Based Learning (ICTBL): As a part of ICT based teaching pedagogy, Faculty members

have started conducting few courses and online tests on MOODLE for students. Video lectures

available on NPTEL are used for imparting knowledge base to the students along with different

presentations. This helps in developing active learning interests among the students.

The Institute organizes various co-curricular and extra curricular activities, which

ultimately help the students to showcase their unbleached talent. For overall development of the

students, they are motivated and guided to participate in various events. For smooth conduction,

the events are aligned to the Institute and Department Academic Calender. Various technical

events are organized under student’s chapter of professional bodies and various department

organizations. Students are provided with a platform to showcase their creativity through

Institute magazine under the banner “SANJIVANI”. The Institute Magazine Sanjivani won first

prize in Ahmednagar Zone under SPPU, Pune successively for more than three years. They are

also encouraged to be a member of various professional and administrative bodies.

Institute provides adequate sports facilities to the students for different activities. Student

teams participate in different sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, chess, fencing,

hockey, athletics, softball, baseball and kabaddi at district level, university level and all India

level.

Every year various social activities are organized under NSS Cell, which inculcate social

as well ethical responsibility among the students. Social awareness Camps are timely arranged in

the adopted villages by the Institute.

Feedback system is adopted in the Institute for quality improvement in academics and

curriculum development. Feedback is taken from different stakeholders such as students,

alumni, parents, industry experts etc. This also helps in bridging the gap between the industry

and the academia. Institute ensures a strong relationship with alumni, former faculty, industry

experts and renowned personalities by arranging their sessions for students throughout the

year. Alumni share their success stories and motivate the students under the banner of My

Story Board. Similarly, for industry experts there is another platform named as Sanjivani

Thought Leaders. Under this banner industry expert reveals the requirements of industry for

present and future and inspire them to become competent enough to face the future

challenges. Youth is a key for socio-economic development of the nation. They are

encouraged to be member of different academic and administrative bodies. For technical

enhancement every year, Institute organizes project exhibition, conference under the banner

“Sanjivan Techfest”. Students are also encouraged and motivated to participate in technical

and nontechnical competition in the Institute and outside the Institute by providing financial

assistance.

Industry Institution Linkages (IIL): To keep pace of recent upgrades in different technologies

across the different streams, every Department has established IIL by signing different MOUs.

This helps to remove the Industry- Institution gaps and facilitates the knowledge up gradations

among the faculty and students by means of Industry visits and trainings, student internships,

sponsored projects, expert lectures and seminars, and helpful for student placements. Further for

industry connects, Institute has started SAP training centre and RED HAT Academy centre for

students. Department of E&TC has set up E-Yantra Lab, Knowledge Centre of Spoken Tutorial

in association with IIT Bombay and Centre of Excellence in association with Texas Instruments.

Under the flagship of Sanjivani, Institute has started three different activities to connect the

Industry and the senior Alumni: Sanjivani Thought Leaders (STL), Sanjivani i-Connect (SiC)
