@mylomagazine

Hello beautiful ladies! Welcome to the next edition of our Mylo monthly magazine. A big thanks to you all for your overwhelming response to the 1st Edition. It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with each one of you in a special way.

In this edition, we have tried our best to make sure this magazine helps you in recapitulating the eventful month of August.

Let’s begin with thanking Dr. Supriya Mishra for sharing such insightful articles during the ‘World Breastfeeding Week’. In the article, she beautifully explained that breastfeeding is the best way to provide nutrients to children everywhere in the world and it is the best way to give a great start to their life. Hence, lets together encourage each other to recognize the importance of breastfeeding.

Moving forward, this power-packed month was a perfect blend of various festivals/events and on the occasion of Independence Day, we received real stories from moms who gave us all a better idea of what it takes to be an empowered woman.

Mylo has completed a year in August, a big shout-out to all our wonder users who have been with us for 1 year and thanks to all of you for extending your continued support and love to other fellow members of the family.

The magazine also features a heart-touching poem penned by Kiara. It recites so beautifully a mothers feel-ing during a daughter’s Bidai - symbolizing strength, love, happiness and fear, all at the same time.

We will be wrapping up this edition with highlighting some our enthusiastic users.

We hope to make this magazine more exciting and informative. Your feedback and contributions will help us get better with each edition.

Happy reading!

BREAST FEEDING ARTICLEA must read article written by Dr. Supriya Mishra on the occassion of breastfeeding week that was from 1st- 7th August 2018.

Most of us would already be knowing that Breastfeeding is an amazing, natural occur-rence that women have been practicing since the beginning of time as a way to feed their babies. Breastfeeding is the best way to provide infants with the nutrients they need.So ladies let’s start the wonderful journey of breastfeeding with our very rst article .

Your breasts are a unique organ which only matures once you get pregnant. This is the time when they start to remodel themselves. As soon as you enter the 4th week of pregnancy a com-plete web of milk ducts and milk producing cells called as lactocytes start forming. So, as well as creating a new person you are preparing a new food supply for the upcoming baby too.Having tingling nipples, tender, swollen breasts is one of the rst signs of pregnancy. It's caused by hormones surging through your body. For many women they will notice a dramatic increase in the size of their breasts early in the rst trimester but how much milk is produced depend on the amount of milk producing cells you have and not the size of the bra!! The lactocytes start working by the start of 15th weeks but the milk produc-tion cycle only begins once the baby is born.The skin around your nipples (areolas) may also start to appear darker, and have tiny bumps. This is a way nature is directing your baby towards her feed.

The tiny bumps around your areolas produce an oily substance that smells like amniotic uid that cleanses, lubricates and protects your nipples from infection during breastfeeding. The unique smell attracts your baby towards it soon after birth.You may nd you leak a few drops of milk during your pregnancy. In fact, your milk-mak-ing system will be ready to go some time during your second trimester and so you'll be able to breastfeed your baby even if she arrives prematurely.After your baby is born, and you have delivered the placenta, the oestrogen and progesterone levels in your body start to drop. After this, the hormone prolactin is released from the pituitary gland in your brain and Prolactin gives signals to your body to make lots of milk to nourish your baby, and makes you feel more maternal.

WHERE AND HOW YOUR BREAST MILK STARTS DURING PREGNANCY AND BEYOND

INDEPENDENCEDay STORIES

@DilpreetvijI STOOD UP FOR MYSELFEveryone faces ups and down in their life. I am sharing an incident of my life where i stood up for myself when everyone was against me.Mine is a love marriage but not inter caste. We both are from sikh family still it was not a cake walk for me to make it possible.Initially when i told my mom about it she said she will talk to my husband and if she finds suitable then she will say yes. She spoke to him and she approved our relation.I am from a joint family. We all stay together so now i needed every single persons approval because we both wanted to get married only if everyone was happy.My entire family was against me and my mom even my dad initially. But later on he understood and supported me. The reasons to go againsts me was very small and baseless.It was a long journey and difficult one too to stand against tbe people with whom i have been living since childhood but with my parents support i was able to win. And now after being married for 3 yrs everyone in my family loves my husband alot and gives him the respect he deserves.

#IndependenceDay #WomenPowerIndependence to meOk Independence to me is more than gender discrimination when i feel secure safe and very normal life to be blessed with a girl baby. Though we raise them strong emotionally and physically we are still a weak gender physically that has to be agreed. This sexual harassments and molestation are always a never ending story. And the level of hatred and anger i have on this harassments are unex-plainable. There are few points which i think it might be helpful am sharing here:1. Gps tracker / a jewelery with tracker / something that will be on your kid all time with tracker2. Teach them smart ways to escape since very young so that as they grow they come up with more ideas3. Let the self defence classes be mandatory for all girl child. Train the kids at home as well on pres-sure or weakest points in body to attack and escape. More than defending directly a smarter way to escape will be best.4. Teach them your name, place, phone number once they start trying to speak5. Ofcourse a session on good touch bad touch everyday at home6. Do not trust anybody. Literally7. Everyday encourage them with positive vibes that we r not weak we are smart8. In any emergency or any unavoidable situation (i know this will never happen but in case) someone else has to pick ur child have a password or code word9. Play area, neighbors etc always be with the child do not leave them alone.10. Last but not the least show them how to be smart and handle any situation effective. They are watching us.

@niks

@CinderellaWhat is independence? Is it about patriotism only? Is it about women empowerment? The answer is NO, Independence is not only limited to any specific person, place , sector or gender!!It is a feeling, feeling of not being dependent on others, feeling of experiencing all the rights associat-ed to us, feeling of having our own choices and freedom.We may call us independent people but the fact is still we have alot to work on it.There are many poor people who don't have money to eat, live, educate their kids which means they are still not independent. There are people from some low castes who have been given a tag of BACK-WARD people from starting and they are not allowed to sit with higher class people. There are middle class people who are saving each and every single penny by working really hard entire day just to have a good future for themselves and their family but they end up paying a huge amount of taxes. There is a third gender who can't experience their rights completely and are not accepted by our society. This is why we haven't still achieved freedom completely. The day when we will come over all such things will be the actual Independence day for us. And till then, this Independence day let us take an oath to remove poverty, gender discrimination, castism, untouchability, illiteracy. This Independence day let us try to find out new and good version of ourselves. Let's just try our best to be a contributing source for society. Let's just make our country a better and more respectful place.

#WorkLifeBalanceWhen I was in arrange marriage process I always wanted joint family , as i am really good at people management But after three years I shortlisted guy who believe in staying independent after marriage and was really worried how will I mange work , life , marriage , and social life.My husband was really stubborn staying separate from both the in-laws, and living own life and family sepretely.#EqualityBut trust me it's different roller coaster all together, we both got new house after marriage . (Dream house of my hubby), we split house EMI , we split expenses , we both work , we both have weekend holidays , I take care of household expenses & he take cares of external expenses.But We don't share work at home as he is really lazy I mange all household work with help of maids and cook .But it kind of #pictureperfectLifeIn true manner we believe in equality.I actually fullfilled all my dreams after marriage , like my parents was really strict , they never allowed me overnight with Freind n all.(being Mumbai gal that to )But after marriage my hubby allowed me for all road trips with Freind , we actually enjoyed calling my frinds and cousins for house party .Every year we planned international trips after marriage,( few trips sponsored by me as well ) .I am living my life more than satisfactory level.Taking my own decisions. Felling like grown up gal.

@Janhavi parab

I stood up for myself – an inspirational story #independence day # women’s powerIam a girl and Iam proud of who iam.. Iam proud because whenever you tried to make me feel inferior and degraded I stood for myself…I thank you for that bcoz if you wouldn’t had done it I would have never able to recognize the inner strength in me..Iam the only child of my parents…daddy’s princess and mamma’s laado..when I turned 5 my parents happily admitted me in a famous public school with a fees very high for my dad to pay.. you told why are u spending so much for a girl’s education when u know she would be leaving u one day..that was the day when my mom,usually silent & compromising lady, fought for the first time with everyone around just for the sake of my rights.. I looked at her silently and she understood my innocent silence..she told me one thing –“ beta, tu mere wajood ka hissa zaroor hai par mere bebasi ka vistaar nahi…” that was the day when I realized that there are different kinds of people in the world and I have to stand up and have to prove myself between all these.When I was a teenager, a few times my skirt got stained during my periods and you laughed at me.. you stepped away from me as if iam an untouchable..i wanted to cry aloud but I didn’t …I stood up for myself and said – yes Iam a woman and I bleed… You don’t let me enter ur temples and kitchen but let me tell you god doesn’t hate me… infact he gave me the power to bleed in pride and right to give birth to you..he knows guys arent strong enough to handle it..I entered into college, and whenever I would walk out of my house wearing a fully covered salwar suit or skinny jeans and revealing top..you would stare at my breast as if you would eat me up..i wanted to run away but I didn’t.. I stood up for myself and said --- yes I have a breast.. a nurturer of life.. it is the place from where u had your first meal and ur kid would also be grow by having it..if you can face my eyes now then a have a look at it too…I was 22, you said my gender would not let me achieve success and so I should get married soon..you said betiyaan bojh hoti hai.. you held me back and demotivated me.. I wanted you slap you that very moment but I stayed calm and your so called “wise words” made me stand for myself..I worked hard day and night and today iam a doctor and a class 1 gazetted officer. Mai beti ho kar b bojh nahi apne papa ka sahara bani ..maut k muh se unhe wapas lekar aayi aur unhe pehle ki tarah thik kiya..I was 26 and I became a wife and a daughter in law.. I got a family who hated me and did every possible thing to break my love marriage…they criticized me, belittled me, abused me behind my back.. I wanted to get separated to regain my inner peace..but I didn’t and decided to stand up for myself and my relationship… afterall we had one thing in common---their son was my husband..we both loved the same man.. how can I leave my life behind… I stood like a rock and saved my mar-riage…Iam 27 and God gave me a special gift --- our little princess came into the world… I was told within 15 days of my baby’s birth –agli baar ladka hi hona chahiye akhir betiya to paraai hoti hai kab tak tumhara sath degi… beta hi ghar ka chiraag hai jo aage tumahre pariwaar ko roshan karega..I was reminded of my mom’s lines and this time I again stood up not for myself but for my lilttle girl who hasn’t even seen this world properly... afterall I have to be an inspiration for her when she grows up like my mom is my inspiration and motivation –"striyon me hota hai sati ka satya..kaali ka raudra..durga ki shakti aur saraswati ka gyan…jab itna sab kuch hai mere andar to kyu chup rahu mai ---kyu chup rahu mai…"

We start and you make some creative stories

Meet our creative story stitchers

#Stitch a Story: Once, there was a cute little girl dancing under the rain, someone saw her dancing and stood still, couldn't move... Soon she took a round and looked into his eyes... Let's see who gives twists and turns to this story

And it was his dad who was seeing joy of her daughter dancing in the rain

-Gayu

And the girl saw the same old guy who is in her college too , the same boy who she likes very much but is shy to express her feelings, the one who always keeps a red rose at her bench in college, the one who she thinks that he is the dream boy, the one who is a complete blind boy but she still loves her from the bottom of her heart

-SarikaLal

"She looked into his eyes nd identified that he is stranger.... A bad man about whom her mother aware her. She suddenly took position to save herself nd the efforts of little girl's parents of encouraging her to learn karata worked. She beat the bad feelings of the man wid her highly skilled karata moves... A girl saved herself from being one another nirbha-ya.. Don't stop ur daughters from dancing in the rain but take a step forward nd make them learn the self defence. Tell them the trick to be protected.We can teach our son to respect the girls but there are many other boys who are devils for every girl... So its better to trained our daugh-ters.

Thank u...I dnt know why but this thing only came in my mind after reading the above lines.."
