WELCOME TO
FRIDAY IRISH FISH FRY SATURDAY FUN FOR ALL
Kick off St Patrick’s Week!
Welcome to Carroll’s 5th Annual St. Pat’s Fest!
is event, now in its h year, is a great weekend of fun for the entire Carroll family: past, present and future! ree fundraising arms: the Carroll High School Alumni Association, Patriot Parent Club and Carrolleers have collaborated to bring you this special event. is is Carroll’s largest fundraiser annually and benets every student in our school. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards continued school improvements including science labs, windows and air conditioning, in addition to student scholarships and music program needs.
We believe that our festival truly has something for everyone. Friday’s traditional sh fry will give alumni, parents, and friends a chance to catch up with old friends, enjoy Irish music and appreciate delicious food and drink. On Saturday, we welcome families during the day to enjoy games and activities for people of all ages with entertainment from Carroll students and local Irish Dance companies. Saturday night, aer Mass, we’re in for a special treat as the popular Band 5 performs in the aux gym, and the Irish band, Dulahan, takes the stage for some extraordinary music. We thank you for coming to visit us this weekend and we hope you have a wonderful time.
I am truly grateful to the entire Carroll community, especially those parents, alumni, sta, and students who make this event such a huge success. It is volunteers like them who work so hard for the greater good that make Carroll such a special place.
It’s good to be Irish, and it’s a great day to be a Patriot!

e Most Reverend John Carroll, S.J., Carroll High School’s namesake, was not only the rst bishop and Archbishop in the United States and the founder of Georgetown University, but also a direct descendant of Ireland. His father, Daniel Carroll, was an Irish native. Carroll High School has had a number of students and alumni who were Champion Irish Dancers having competed at Oireachtas, Nationals, and continued to World Irish Dance Championship, including Mary Laey ‘85, Brian McLaughlin ‘13, and 1989 graduate, John Timm, who earned the Senior Men’s World Championship title in 1993. Carroll High School has a history with Dayton’s Irish Community. e Dayton Feis (an Irish Dance competition) took place at Carroll from 1988-1997.
So it is not surprising that the Home of the Patriots is having an Irish Celebration!

Carroll High School takes part in an established House System where each student becomes part of a family room that provides stability, positivity, and inclusion; all of which create a successful learning environment.
Our students voluntarily contribute thousands of service hours each year to local, national, and international organizations.
Carroll is the only Catholic high school in the Dayton area to earn the Ohio Department of Education’s Purple Star Designation as a military friendly school.
Carroll is the only high school to receive the prestigious Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM Education, every year since its inception. Carroll was also the 2018 recipient of The Ohio Academy of Science’s Shaw Award for STEM Excellence.
We call our students to be more and do more. We challenge them to do everything to the best of their abilities, and we trust that they will leave Carroll with a clear mission to build a better world.
Current 730 Carroll students are offered:
