JUNE 2018 “CITY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE UNDERGO SURPRISE
DRUG TEST YIELDS NEGATIVE RESULT”
The Philippine Drug Enforcement
Agency–Regional Laboratory XII
under the supervision of DIR
VALENTE G CARIÑO conducted a
surprise drug test to all personnel of
the Office of City Prosecutor –
General Santos City including
Prosecutors, early morning on June
20, 2018.
OIC–City Prosecutor Paolo R Aquino
led in submitting their urine
specimens along with the
Prosecution and Administrative
personnel under the said office. The
surprise drug test was done during
an ordinary working day.
The urine samples all yielded
negative results for the presence of
illegal drugs.
The surprise drug test is in conformity with their implementation of Drug–Free
Workplace Policy in accordance with Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 2, series
of 2004.
“FOUR (4) ARRESTED IN PDEA, PNP BUY–BUST; PHP 340K DRUGS SEIZED”
A targetlisted personality together with his three (3) cohorts were arrested as
PDEA and PNP conducted a bust sting operation at Brgy. Lagao, General Santos City
on June 22, 2018 at around 12:30 in the afternoon.
In an intensified anti–illegal drug
campaign, joint operatives of the
Philippine Drug Enforcement
Agency Regional Office XII in
collaboration with GSCPO Police
Station 3 led by PINSP Felix S
Minion under the supervision and
control of PDEA RO XII OIC – DIR
MA LESLIE SHARON D
MAQUILANG, conducted a buy–
bust operation at the vicinity of
Block 28, Lot 14, Superville Subd., Brgy. Lagao, General Santos City which resulted to
the arrest of AMED TAN MORAGA Alias BOYET (Targetlisted/HVT), 39 years old,
male, married, farmer, together with his cohorts WENDILYN GABAYAN MORAGA
Alias WENDY (HVT), 37 years old, female, married, private agency assistant,
SATURNINO MORAGA MASINOGOT JR Alias UNYONG (HVT), 29 years old, male,
single, jobless, all resident of Purok 12, Brgy. Bato Melong, General Santos City and
ISAGANI MORAGA MANZA JR (HVT), 25 years old, male, married, driver and a
resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Bato Melong, General Santos City.
Recovered during the
operation were one (1) large and
three (3) small heat-sealed
transparent plastic sachets
suspected to be
methamphetamine hydrochloride
otherwise known as “shabu”
weighing more or less 50 grams
with an estimated market value of
Three hundred forty thousand
pesos (Php 340,000.00) and one
(1) Five hundred peso bill (Php
500.00) marked money.
They were arrested after they conspired to sell “shabu” to an undercover agent
who acted as poseur buyer in exchange of Php 500.00 peso bill marked money.
Cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession
of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs
Act of 2002” were filed against the arrested suspects.

“GREYHOUND OPERATION AND SURPRISE DRUG
TEST CONDUCTED AT GENERAL SANTOS CITY JAIL”
On June 23, 2018 at around
6:30am, the Philippine Drug
Enforcement Agency Regional Office
XII–Narcotics Detection Unit under the
supervision of OIC–DIR MA LESLIE
SHARON D MAQUILANG in cooperation
with the elements of PNP RO XII
conducted a greyhound operation inside
the jail facilities of General Santos City
Jail located at Brgy, Lanton, General
Santos City. PDEA through its narcotic
sniffing dogs searched a total of forty–
eight (48) detention cells (female and
male detention facilities) and inspected
each cells for possible presence of illegal
drugs and paraphernalia.
Recovered during the said operation were cellular phone and chargers, assorted
sharp objects, scissors, electric wires, gambling cards, disposable lighters and various
contrabands.
Whilst, PDEA RO XII–Laboratory Section conducted a surprise mandatory drug
test to all eighty–two (82) personnel (Male Dormitory) and twenty–three (23) personnel
(Female Dormitory) of the said Bureau which all yielded negative results for the
presence of illegal drugs. Moreover, about forty–six (46) Persons Deprived of Liberty
(PDLs) have also undergone random drug test which also gave negative results.
Such endeavour was conducted to free not only its jail facilities but as well as its
personnel from drug proliferation and involvement in coordination with its bureau.

“TWO (2) DRUGGIES AND A MINOR NETTED WITH PHP 340K OF SHABU IN PDEA, PNP BUY–BUST AT BALITON, GLAN”
In a continuous combat to fight illegal drugs, joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XII together with Glan Municipal Police Station and Sarangani Provincial Police Safety Force under the supervision of PDEA RO XII OIC – DIR MA LESLIE SHARON D MAQUILANG, conducted a buy–bust operation at Purok Maglanab, Brgy. Baliton, Glan, Sarangani Province on June 23, 2018 at around 4:30 in the afternoon.
The arrested suspect who was
identified as RABODIN SAHAK y MINTAO (HVT), 28 years old, male, motorcycle driver, together with his two male cohorts, RADZ SAHAK y ANDUKAN (HVT), legal age, single, student and a male minor, all residents of the aforementioned address, were apprehended after they conspired to sell suspected “shabu” to an undercover agent who acted as poseur buyer in exchange of Php 500.00 peso bill buy-bust money.
The bust sting operation resulted
to seizures of one (1) small and one (1) large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride otherwise known as “shabu” weighing more or less 50 grams with an estimated market value of Three hundred forty thousand pesos (Php 340,000.00) and one (1) Five hundred peso bill (Php 500.00) buy-bust money.
The arrested male minor was
immediately turned–over to GSC Social Welfare Development Office for further assessment and custody.

PDEA XII conducts regular inspection at GSC International Airport through its narcotic
detection dogs by sniffing commercial cargos in departure and arrival area for possible
presence and transportation of illegal drugs in and out of the region.
