C22. Welding and Cutting (CWC)
Welding is vastly used for manufacturing table, grills, gates, doors, windowpanes and roof truss works.
Thus, welding and gas cutting has gained an overwhelming demand in the market to fulfil the
requirements in our day today life. Keeping this demand in view an effort has been made to introduce
a six-month course in Welding and Cutting to impart vital theoretical information and practical skills to
make an efficient welder, especially in the field of gas welding, gas cutting and arc welding. A passed-
out welder can become an employee in a workshop or a self-employed welder or an entrepreneur of
small-scale industry by establishing a welding workshop of his own. A welding workshop involves
comparatively less capital investment and can be established even in a small space of residential
area. Therefore, a six-month certificate course in Welding and Cutting has been designed to create a
pool of skilled welders well versed in the theoretical and practical aspects of their trade.
