After logging into HMH Player
this screen will appear. To
assign content click on the
assignments “+” tab.
After clicking on the
assignments “+” tab on the
previous screen, this screen
will appear. Click on the arrow
that corresponds with the unit
from which content will be
assigned.
A drop down menu will then
appear. Click on the lesson from
which content will be assigned.
After selecting a lesson this screen will appear. This screen provides assignable resources. Select the assignment to assign from the resources available.
After selecting a resource this
screen will appear. This is the
screen where an assignment will
be assigned. Notice that a
default due date is automatically
generated. This due date may be
change by clicking on the due
date tab.
This screen will then appear.
Select another date as a due date
or leave the default due date. If
changing the due date simply click
on the new due date for the
assignment.
There are two options to assign the assignment to students. To assign to all students click on the all tab. To assign to selected students, select the students by clicking on the box next to the student’s name.
After selecting students, select
what support options will be
given to students by selecting
one of the three support options
available on this screen.
After supports have been assigned, a comment will need to be placed in the comment section.
The final step to assign the assignment is to click on the assign tab at the bottom of the page.
The following screen will appear
verifying that the assignment has
been assigned. Click on the
arrow to get to the home screen.
The assignment will appear on
the home screen. In order for
the students to access the
assignment offline the
students will need to
download the assignment.
The steps for student
downloading are listed below.
The student will see the
following screen after
logging onto the HMH Player.
In order for the student to
access the information
offline they must download
the content.
To download the content
the student will click on the
arrow next to assignments.
After clicking on the arrow, this
screen will appear. The
students will need to click on
the three dots located to the
right of the assignment.
After clicking on the three dots
this cloud sign will appear. The
students will need to download
content by clicking on the cloud
sign. An arrow will then appear
on the cloud pointing downward
indicating that the content is
being downloaded. The cloud
will turn completely blue once
the content has been
downloaded.
After the download is
complete the students will
return to the home screen by
clicking on the arrow icon.
The student will then need to
open the assignment in order to
access it online. To do this the
student will click on the circle
icon.
This screen will then appear.
The student will need to click
the “X” in order to open the
assignment.
