Hero Portfolio

                    Martin Luther King Jr.                  Martin Luther King Jr. was a very successful man. He is a worldwide hero. He is a hero because he pressed the cases of civil rights. He also is very known for his “I have a dream” speech given to emphasize the ideal of racism. Martin Luther King Jr. also was a great heroic figure because he awaken the moral outrage in America over discrimination. He resolved many skin based issues. He was the start to a new society. The main reason King was a hero was because he demanded for equality for all regardless of the skin color. 

     

                       Helen Keller                           Helen Keller is a hero for all suffering from deaf, blind, and mute illnesses. She is a hero because she helped raised money to support the schools of blind, deaf, and mute children. She also wrote books to tell the ones suffering from the illnesses that they are just ordinary people. Helen keller shows strong characteristics of a hero because she also wrote books directed to the non­ suffering suggesting that they shall not tease or hurt anyone who has disabilities. Keller is a smart heroic figure because she reinvented the sign language using her own experiences and ideas to better the learning and language itself. She helped the deaf, blind, and mute gain their education which helped the ones with the disabilities in today’s world. She is a major hero who’s saved many people from their own personal problems of suffering from disabilities and proved that they are just as ordinary.  

   

                     Leonardo Da Vinci            

           Leonardo Da Vinci was a very talented and artistic hero. He was one of the greatest thinkers of his time. He is a hero because he represented and exemplified the renaissance humanist ideal. He is a successful historical hero because he invented many things. He had great artistic abilities and used them towards great historical events. Leonardo is a hero to the artistic world because he created the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper which are recognized universally and two of the best paintings created. He is a hero to the engineering world because he came up with many innovative and influential methods. Vinci was a hero for the soldiers also because he was a military engineer and created weapons.  

 

                     William Shakespeare                               William Shakespeare is a huge influential hero to the literature world. He created many plays and stories that had huge impacts on the idea of humans and their lives. Shakespeare is a hero because he redefined literature. He wrote plays that interested people all over.  He is also a hero because he has set many important roles of a human in his work. Shakespeare made big movements in literature. He inspired many people of his time.  

   

                    George Washington                 George Washington was one of the top historical heroes. He is a great hero because he lead the american revolution army in victory for independence. He served as the president for the United States. He was known for being a great leader which shows his traits of being a hero. He kept his army together through difficult illnesses and fights. He fought and worked hard for America to be a free country. He was a great figure to many. He was known as the “father of our country,” because he was the first president. George Washington was a great hero because he was a great leader.  

  

   Doctor Ramin Jamshidi   Dr. Jamshidi is a major personal hero in my life. He saved my life. In January, 2015, I had a major complication that lead me to be very sick for months. Throughout my sickness I had many procedures. I had a ruptured appendix that had leaked poisonous fluids into my abdomen. He saved my life as I was rushed into the hospital. He also performed my surgery in June on my lungs. He is a great heroic figure because he was always very supportive and trusting. He took interest in my future goals as becoming a surgeon, and he taught me many things. He is also a hero because he cares for his patients and takes his own time to take into their personal needs. He not only saved my life be he has saved many lives throughout his career. Dr. Jamshidi is a hero because he also helps kids all over the world. Jamshidi helps kids in need and performs surgeries on the ones who can not afford the procedures. He is the biggest hero I have ever met in my life and I will always be grateful for this amazing surgeon.  

     

    Shauna Dial   My mother is a hero in my eyes. She is a hero because she’s taught me so much. She has taught me right from wrong. She’s helped me learn how to strive in life and to put my best effort in everything I do. She also is a hero because she has gave her everything to raise me. She’s worked hard and has been a success. She buys me beautiful things, and supports me. I value my mother to a great deal. She is a hero because she loves me under any circumstance and she shows me how to fight my struggles and always be great. She is also a hero because she is a teacher who helps educate many kids.  

      

  Dr. Kathy Magliato 

Although I do not personally know Dr. Magliato, She is a personal hero to me because she’s a great cardiothoracic surgeon who has suceeded in my dreams. I look up to her because she is a very strong­willed women. She has many traits of being a hero because is very powerful. She also saves lives in the cardiothoracic field. She works in her spare time to develop devices to help those in need. She is a personal hero to me because she carries the exact future I want for myself. She is one of the very few women who is highly ranked in her career. She is a hero because she writes books to inspire others suffering from heart diseases. She takes her time out to innovate towards her work.  

   

                                      Derek Shepherd  

        Derek Shepherd plays the role of a fictional hero. He is a hero because he is a neurosurgeon who has saved many lives. He helps the people in need and in pain. Doctor Shepherd has also created a new brain mapping system. He is a hero because he has invented new ways to discover and create cures for brain diseases. This fictional character had trials to find a cure 

for alzheimer. He is a heroic figure because he helps his interns under him succeed in the best way possible.  

    

   

    Katniss Everdeen    Katniss Everdeen is a phenomenal fictional hero. She is a hero because she saved her sister’s life by volunteering as a tribute. 

She is a hero because she’s beat the game twice. Katniss also has stood up to the head district. She helped represent district 12, and she’s saved many people’s lives. She is a hero because instead of killing peta she had the idea to eat berries so they would both die. She has many heroic traits such as strong minded, leader, and brave. She is very brave for fighting against the capital.      

    

HEROES OF ALL TIMES  

         This portfolio provides heroes with all types of circumstances for being a hero. The historical heroes all provide similar traits. George Washington, Leonardo Da Vinci, Helen Keller, Martin Luther King Jr., and Shakespeare are all very talented, brave, intelligent, bold, and share leadership skills. Leonardo Da Vinci, and Shakespeare play a huge role in literature and inventions. George Washington, Helen Keller, and Martin Luther King Jr., have all helped others and are very brave. They are all heroes.           Not only are this historical heroes great but so are my personal and fictional heroes. My personal heroes are the people I cherish and look up too. My Dr. Jamshidi will always be one of my favorite heroes. He spends his life saving others. My mother is my favorite because she teaches me everything I need to know. Dr. Magliato is a hero because she has succeeded in the exact same goals i have in my life, and I look up to her as a female cardiothoracic surgeon. My fictional heroes are of course entertaining with their brave and skillful ways. Dr. Shepherd and Katniss Everdeen are life savers and very strong willed people. This hero portfolio provides heroes with all sorts of traits and accomplishments.
