ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Profile of the Institution
Dronacharya P. G. College of Education,Rait is nestled in the picturesque surroundings of
enchanting Kangra Valley in the lap of snow clad Dhauladhar range. It is situated on NH-154
at Rait, Kangra (H.P) on Mandi-Pathankot National Highway. It is 8 kms from Kangra Airport,
20 kms from Kangra Railway Station and 20 kms from the hill station, Dharamshala. The
College is self-financed, non-aided educational institution managed by OCEAN Society.
Dronacharya P.G. College of Education, Rait is affiliated to H.P University, Shimla and
recognized by NCTE and by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956. The institution is the
youngest college in the entire state of Himachal Pradesh to be graded by 'NAAC' with 'B'
Grade and has an intake of 200 seats in B.Ed., 50 Seats in M.Ed. Course, three professional
courses BBA, BCA and PGDCA are affiliated to H.P University, Shimla. Dronacharya P.G.
College of Education is a place "Where knowledge is created, not just communicated".
Since its exponential growth in the success ratio of the students of our college bears the
testimony of its excellence. The college has been envisioned as an institution of excellence
with main focus on building capacities, employability skills and placement initiatives for the
students. This goal is being achieved through comprehensive education and synthesizing in
its educational processes professional, moral and social ethics in a conducive environment.
INFRASTRUCTURE & LEARNING RESOURCES
The college has built a modern infrastructure in the form of a four storey building for M.Ed.
and B.Ed. course and a three storey building for Management & Computer sciences
Department, designed to have all the requisite facilities for healthy and facilitative
academic environment.
Library
To cater the academic demands of students, the college has a rich library equipped with
more than 13,500 books. The library is enriched regularly with latest editions of books,
magazines, journals to enable students to get up to date information on varied topics. There
are more than 25 educational and Research Journals, 18 magazines along with 7 daily
Newspapers in the library. It has a vast treasure of Encyclopedias, Educational CDs & DVDs.
The library service is catalogued and a reprographic machine is installed. To meet the
requirements of needy students the college has started a book bank. New and latest
reading material is made available to the students. All library records and students' details
have been computerized through ADVANTA software.

Wi-Fi campus with 24-hrs internet broad band facility
The college has a Wi-Fi campus with 24Hrs internet broad band facility. The Computer lab
provides numerous computing facilities for its students, faculty and staff .The computer lab
has more than 65 computers with latest operating systems and latest software. Faculties
incorporate practical methods by using latest LCD Multimedia Projectors.
A new computer lab with 20 desktop computers have been setup in BBA and BCA block.
Language Resource Centre
A language laboratory has been set up to improve lab focuses on training pupils in
pronunciation, Group discussions, Extempore, Drills. Language lab classes are a prominent
feature of Personality development programme.
Psychology Resource Centre
Psychology Resource Centre is equipped with various psychological tests i.e. Intelligence
test, Aptitude test, Personality test, Memory test, Attitude test , Learning test , Alexander Pass
Along test, Social behavior, Scientific aptitude etc. Psychology Resource Centre equips the
pupil teachers with requisite skills on how to understand their pupils in the class and also to
learn to administer psychological tests
Science & Mathematics Resource Centre
The Science & Mathematics lab is well equipped with scientific devices to enhance
teaching-learning process and train students in practical knowledge. In order to make
learning real, laboratory is equipped with instruments, apparatus, salts, chemicals and acids
etc.
Art and Craft Resource Centre
To develop creative talent among the students, the art and craft resource centre is fully
equipped with materials where students prepare their charts, models ,teaching aids and
show the creativity and talent in art and painting competition.
Smart Lab
Smart Lab is used to teach faculty and students to integrate technology in their lives.
Hostel Facility
The college has a separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Rooms are spacious and well
ventilated with adequate facilities for students.
Canteen & Refreshment
The college has canteen facility and seating room. A refreshment shop caters to the taste of
students and immediate need of the students.
24X7 Electricity supply
A continuous 24X7 electricity supply is ensured to the students with Green and Silent
Generator (45KVA).
Security and Surveillance with CCTV
College has set up 20 CCTV Cameras for providing safe and secure environment in the
college for teacher trainees and to monitor the activities in the classrooms and corridors.

Sports Ground/ Gymnasium
Well-equipped gymnasium is available within campus for students as well as faculty. Regular
exercise and physical fitness boost self-esteem and concentration of the students for
achieving success in life. Basket ball and Volley ball court facility promotes sports culture in
the college.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The College has an Internal Quality Assurance Cell established since 2009. The main aim of
IQAC is planning, implementing and measuring the outcomes of academic and
administrative performance of the college. After the NAAC Inspection the IQAC has been
re-constituted as per the guidelines issued by NAAC. The motto of Internal Quality Assurance
Cell is 'Towards Hallmark of Excellence'.
ACTIVITIES OF IQAC
This year Internal Quality Assurance Cell is honouring the theme, 'Nurturing Self-Evaluation
skills for Quality enhancement and Excellence.‟ Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
ensures active participation of students in college decision making process by electing
representative from the students in the form of 'STUDENT COUNCIL'.
Feedback from students and stakeholders is collected and analyzed for bringing
qualitative improvement.
Organizing Seminars, Workshops and faculty development programme.
The college felicitates college faculty with the (Dronacharya Award) Best Teacher
Award every year.
'The Best House of the Year Award' is awarded to the best house in all round
performance in activities.
Every year an interactive 'Principals' Meet' is organized with the Principals of different
schools to encourage sharing of ideas and to improve teaching practice.
A Holistic Appraisal Recharge Career Counseling programme 'SHARP PLUS' to counsel
students on career prospects, world of work and life skills is organized by the cell.
A Career Guidance Programme, SPARK caters to the career related needs of the rural
students.
A path breaking initiative 'PARIVARTAN', a Personality enhancement, Life skill training,
Art of living and Spoken English competence building programme is in progress in the
current session.
IMPRESSIONS (An Oath cum Valedictory Ceremony) the out-going teacher-trainees
future teachers are administered Oath for fulfilling the duties of a teacher righteously
and becoming role model for their pupils.

Attendance Award for B.Ed. student for his/her regular attendance in the college has
been constituted. Significant numbers of innovative awards have been constituted to

Guest talks on relevant themes such as values , effective classroom teaching, Disaster
Management, Art of living, Future educational Pedagogy and technologies are a
regular feature in the college.
Publication and promotion of colleges‟ International Research Journal of Education

Regular Morning Prayer, Quiz, Thought of the day, discussion on the current topics in
the morning assembly are organized to develop social, moral, spiritual and intellectual

Extensive use of modern teaching aids such as OHP, LCD Projector, models and charts
are made to enhance teaching- learning. In order to facilitate the use of technology
in learning a Smart Class room in the college is functional.
Guidance and Counseling cell provides career and personal guidance to the
students.
Grievance redressal Cell of the college takes care of the grievances of the students.
SHARP+ is a Students Holistic Appraisal & Review Program for all our students for their
holistic development.
'DISHA' Guidance & Career Counseling Program helps students to understand and
plan their career.
A path breaking initiative 'PARIVARTAN' consisting of Personality Development, Life

Each One Teach One: The students of Dronacharya P G College organised Each One
Teach One, a Case Study project to provide opportunities to the school students to
develop their research and analytical skills. B.Ed. students taught school students
concepts of arithmetic, Hindi and English and assessed their learning outcomes.
The college conducts teaching practice for B.Ed. students in 12 Government schools .
College has well equipped classrooms, open auditorium, E.T lab, language lab,
Science lab, Social Science lab and Psychology lab.
Annual Fest- NAVRANG: College organizes an Annual Fest- NAVRANG every year in
which inter-college literary, sports and cultural events are organized.
College Magazine 'Lakshay: The magazine is a perfect vehicle for pupil teachers to
give expression to their creativity and thoughts.
A three day summer camp SPECTRUM for 9th to 12th class students was a major social
responsibility initiative by the college. The theme for „Secret to being Happy, Healthy
and Successful in life‟. The summer camp focused on experiential learning through fun
filled recreational and enriching activities.

COMMENCEMENT OF SESSION
The 16th session of B.Ed. course AGAAZ commenced with auspicious holy vedic chants and
Yajna on 16 Oct, 2019. Dr. Suresh Kumar Soni, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Board of School
Education, Dharamshala was the chief guest for the occasion. The inaugural commenced
with the Hawan Ceremony in the presence of new pupil teachers, Principal, Dr. B.S Bagh,
HOD- B.Ed., Dr. P.K Sharma, Managing Director, Mr. G.S. Pathania, Executive Director, Mr. B.S.
Pathania and all staff members of DPGCE, Rait.
The 12th batch of academic session- 2019-20 of Dronacharya P.G. College of Education was
welcomed in an inaugural function on 04-07-2019 in which Dr. Bhagwan Singh , Dean School
of Commerce and Management Studies , Central University , Dharamshala was the Chief
guest. Managing Director Sh. G.S Pathania, Executive Director, Sh. B.S Pathania, Principal,
Dr. B.S. Bagh and faculty members and prospective pupil teachers participated in the
auspicious Holy Havan praying for well-being of Dronacharya fraternity.

In the B.Ed. 4th semester, University Examination (Session-2017-19) Neha secured First
Position in the college by scoring 289 marks .Whereas Nitiz Gora secured second position by
scoring 286marks followed by Tanu Choudhary third position who scored 285 marks.
In the B.Ed. University Examination (Session-2017-19) Tanu Choudhary secured First Position in
the college by scoring 1089 Marks out of 1400 .Whereas Priya pathania secured second
position by scoring 1087 marks followed by Neha in third position who scored1081marks.
In the B.Ed. 1st semester, University Examination (2018-20) Rimple secured First Position in the
college by scoring 297 Marks out of 350. Saloni Sharma secured second position in the
college by scoring 295 marks. Whereas Kajal Thakur and Shailly Rana secured third position
by scoring 292 marks respectively.

In the HPU M.Ed. University Examination (Session-2016-18)

1169 Out of 1600 marks.

Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait was bestowed with the best educational
Institute in Himachal Pradesh Award by Ignited Edubirds (A leading market research
company of INDIA) in the prestigious NATIONAL EDUCATION AWARDS-2018 held in Delhi.
Managing Director, Mr. G. S. Pathania and Principal, Dr. B. S. Bagh received the coveted
award on 27th May, 2018 for the outstanding contribution in education sector across India.
PLACEMENT INITIATIVES
A Campus Placement drive was organised by Dronacharya PG College of
Education, Rait for BBA,BCA students on 28th Feb,2020 in the College Campus. Faspin
Technologies (SEO Company ) visited the college. Out of 45 students 10 students were
selected in the placement drive.
Dronacharya PG College,Rait organised a Mega Career Fair on 25th May,2019. Six
companies i.e. IDBI Bank ,Sollitaire Infosys, Bajaj Capital , Pluto Tours ,Nag Utilities
visited the college campus. 70 students participated in the Career fair.44 students
were selected in the Career Fair.Whereas 15 students of BBA/BCA were selected from
Dronacharya College, Rait.
Wipro Pool Campus Drive Organised By Dronacharya PG College Of Education, Rait
On 14th May, 2019 at College Campus By Remote Program (Online Process).A total of
30 students participated in the pool campus drive. In Wipro 5 students were placed.
One student, Rupesh from Dronacharya PG College,Rait was selected in the Wipro
Pool Campus Drive.
NAG Utilities solutions Pool Campus drive organised by Dronacharya PG College of
Education, Rait on 18th May, 2019 at College Campus.15 students participated in the
pool campus drive. 05 students were selected in pool campus drive.
Shivali from BCA Final was placed with TCS, Chennai.
Himanshu from BCA Final was placed with IBM, Pune.
Kundan Balouria was placed with Indian Army.

SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT AMONG STUDENTS
In the session (2019-21), 09 students from B.Ed. first year and 08 students from the B.Ed.
second year (Session-2018-20) have been registered for centrally Sponsored National
Scholarship Scheme for SC,ST and OBC students.
In the session (2018-19), a scholarship worth rupees 8,08445 was disbursed in the form of
special fee concession to the needy and meritorious students of B.Ed./BBA and BCA.
First Phase of Internship for the B.Ed. students
The first Phase of Internship for the B.Ed. students (Session 2018-20) commenced from 01May,
2019 to 31 May,2019 . 12 schools were chosen for Teaching Practice. The second phase of
internship was held from 09th August, 2019 to 04th December 2019.
Final teaching Practice for the B.Ed. students
The final teaching practice for the B.Ed. students (Session-2018-2019) was conducted on 17th
December, 2019 to 20th December, 2019 at Govt. High School, Ladwara. In the final
teaching practice, 198 students appeared in the skill in teaching exam.
ENLIGHTENING WORKSHOP/SEMINAR/GUEST TALKS
A Faculty Development Programme was organized on Word press by Resource
person Mr. Sachil Guleria on 18th June, 2019,
On 20th July, 2019 a guest lecture delivered by Col. Rajesh Sharma for BBA/BCA
students.
A workshop was organized for BBA/BCA students on the theme “Spiritual Development
Programme” on 5th August, 2019. Dr.Ankit Sharma PHD IIT from Baranasi, Mr.Krishan
Sudama (Graphics Designer) & Mr. Serghei Shurushov were the resource persons.
A Faculty Development Programme was organized on “Building of a Winning Team”
on 13th to 15th November,2019. HOD BCA Mr. Rajesh Rana, Asstt. Prof Anish Korla & Mrs.
Shweta (DCCD) were the resource persons.
A guest talk was organized for BBA/BCA students on 10th December, 2019 on “
Integrated marketing Communication” . Dr.Sheena Gupta (NIFT,Delhi) was the

Drona Youth Parliament
Drona Youth Parliament (Debate) was organised on 10 August 2019 with a motive of to build
confidence among students and also to spread awareness about current situation of the
parliament and raise funds for the club.
Digital Literacy
Digital Literacy was organised on 27 August 2019 in Senior Secondary School, Shahpur
(Kangra). The team made students aware about the various terms related with Digital
Literacy.
Swatchhata Pakhwada
Swatchhatapakhwada was organised on 06 September 2019 at village Rehlu, Kangra with a
motive to sensitise people on the importance of water and trees.
Marathon
Marathon was held on 11 September 2019 in Tanda Medical College, Kangra. In this
marathon our Rotaractors take participation and also the club distributed fruits and water to
all the participants (more then 700) of Marathon.
Senior Citizen Honour Ceremony
Senior Citizen Honour Ceremony was held on 21September 2019 at Shahpur. Rtn. Rakesh
Katoch (President 2019-2020 of Rotary club of Shahpur) along with their Rotaryteam
honored senior citizens with memento. Rotaract club presented a dance performance
during Senior Citizen Honor Ceremony.
Entrepreneurship meet
An Entrepreneurship Meet-Sangharsh was organised on 03 October 2019 in Dronacharya P.G
College, Rait with the objective of providing awareness among young generation about
new start-ups .

Cloth Donation was organised on 10 December 2019 In Govt. School Rehlu, Shahpur. The
Rotaractors donated woollen clothes to the needy and school sweaters to the children.
National Youth Day
National Youth Day was celebrated on 12th January 2020 at Dronacharya P.G College on
the Birth of Swami Vivekananda. A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Parveen Kumar on the
life journey of Swami Vivekananda.
A Blood Donation Drive „MAHADAN‟
A Blood Donation Drive „MAHADAN‟ was organised by Dronacharya Rotaract club, Sang Bequest
Club in association with Rotary Club Shahpur on 13th March, 2020. The event is to spearhead
International Rotary Club's vision of celebrating 9th to 15th March as Blood Donation week across the
world.
DRONACHARYA SANJEEVNI CLUB
Bhagwad Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav was organised on the eve of Bhagwad Geeta Jayanti on
07 December,2019 . Dr. Yogender Verma (Former Vice Chancellor, CUHP) was the chief guest.
Sh.Ashok Raina Sah Sangathak- J&K, H.P, U.K, Delhi was the guest speaker. An Open quiz
,Declamation , Panel Discussion on 18 Chapters of the scripture was also organised.
Four-day seminar on Value Education
A four day Seminar was organized by Bhaktivedanta Roaming Academy for Value
Education (BRAVE) Bhagvad Gita for B.Ed, BBA & BCA students from 5th August , 2019 to 8th
August,2019. On first day Dr. Ankit Sharma shared his views on „Secrets of Success‟ with B.Ed
,BBA and BCA students. On second day Sergia Shurushou shared his views on „Foundation of
happiness‟ with B.Ed ,BBA and BCA students. On third day Krishna Sudama Das shared his
views on „Key to happiness‟ with B.Ed ,BBA and BCA students. On fourth day Dr. Ankit
Sharma shared his views on „Relevance of Bhagavad Gita‟ with B.Ed ,BBA and BCA students.
International Yoga Day
The 5th International Yoga Day was organized on dated 21st June, 2019 in the Swami
Vivekanand Hall of Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait .The theme was “Enthusiast
All Around the World”. The faculty and non- teaching staff, students and local people of
District Kangra participated in the 5th International Yoga Day. The total numbers of
participants were 50. Dr. C.L. Dogra was the (Guest of Honour).

Plantation at village Thumba of Durgella village of Durgella Panchyat
Dronacharya Environment club of Dronacharya College of Education organized Plantation
drive to celebrate Van mahotsav at village Thamba of Durgella Panchyat alongside
Thumba Khadd on a barren land ON 30th July,2019. Managing Director Sh. Gandharv
Pathania planted 100 saplings of different species accompanied by Principal Dr. B.S Bhag,
convener of Environment Club sh. Sumit Sharma, convener and the faculty members at
Village Thumba of Durgella Panchayat. 60 students from each Rotaract as well as
Environment Club were participated in this plantation drive.
Swachhta Abhiyan
“Swachhta Abhiyan” was organized by Environment club of college under the theme Clean
Dronacharya Green Dronacharya on 02 Oct, 2019. Slogan writing competition was
organized by the club in which Sheetal and Pragmatic got 1st position , Ritesh got 2nd
position. And Minakshi got 3rd position. Swati , Divya , and Kanchan Kumar shared their
views regarding the need of cleanliness and clean India campaign. A tribute ceremony was
organized by Environment club .An oath ceremony was also organized students and faculty
members took pledge over cleanliness and environment issues. A cleanliness Drive was
organized in the college premises where all the students and teachers participated and
made the college premises neat and clean.
DRONACHARYA SANG BEQUEST CLUB
SANG BEQUEST club organized National Blood Donor day event on 30th Sept 2019. Painting
competition was conducted on this event, under which BBA/BCA & B.Ed students
participated and showed their creativity . Himanshi and Mohini(B.Ed) was in the first position.
Neha and Sheetal (B.Ed) were in the second position. Sejal and Eshika (BBA) were in third
position. Dr. B.S. Bagh was the chief guest of the event. He appreciated all the participants
and winners of this competition.

International Youth Day
Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club was organized a Community Centered Activity in reference
to HIV Prevention Campaign on in International Youth Day on 12 August, 2019. On the
Occasion of this campaign Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club organized activity in Govt. Senior
Secondary School, Hatli. In this campaign, members of DRRC informed students regarding
HIV/AIDS prevention . Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club organized in school some activities like
Slogan Writing competition, Declamation & Painting Competition regarding awareness of
HIV/AIDS to the students. In Declamation Competition: Sugandhi got first position, Priya won
second and Sushmita was in third position . In Painting Competition: Adarsh got first position ,
Aditya stood second and Kashish was in third position. In Slogan Writing Competition: Arushi
got first position , Tanisha was in second and Shruti was third position.
World aids day Celebration on December 1
Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club celebrated World Aids day by organizing various events to
sensitize masses on the Aids epidemic. Community centered activity was organized in GSSS,
Rait on the eve of World Aids Day on November 30, 2019. On this occasion the various
activities organized by the Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club such as Poster Making
Competition, Oath Ceremony & Slogan Writing Competition. Dronacharya Red Ribbon club
honored the theme “Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Community by Community”. Ankita
(B.Ed. student) President, Red Ribbon Club, administered Oath to all students in college
campus Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club, Nodal officer, urged students and faculty to spread
the message of Aids awareness among the masses as prevention is the only cure for Aids. Mr.
B.S. Pathania was the Chief Guest of this occasion
Rally on AIDS Awareness
Dronacharya Red Ribbon Club organized a rally on November 30, 2019 from Dronacharya
college to Rait Market. On this occasion pupil teachers raised slogans to disseminate the
message of Aids awareness. Managing Director, Mr. Gandharv Pathania, Executive Director
Mr. B. S. Pathania, students and faculty members participated in the rally.
Street play on Aids Awareness
A Street Play (Nukkad Natak) was performed by the members of Dronacharya Red Ribbon
Club on November 30, 2019 in Rait Market. This Street Play was performed to make people
aware about misconceptions related to Aids. Managing Director Mr. Gandharv Pathania,
Executive Director Mr. B. S. Pathania, all the students and all the faculty members
participated.

Awareness”. There were 20 participants from B.Ed. Ms. Surbhi won the top honors. Ms.

Human rights day celebrated on 10th December, 2019 in Dronacharya PG College of
Education Rait , Kangra . It is organised by SCA committee of our college. Dr. Parveen
Sharma,HOD (DCE) was chief guest on this occasion. General secretary Daljit Kaur hosted
the function. Rashmi ,Ayushi ,Vaishali ,Akshay[President], Daljit kaur , Kuldeep 2nd Year
student presented their views on Human Rights Day.
Holi Celebration
Dronacharya Student Council Association celebrated Holy festival in the college on 09
March, 2020. In the college, students smeared colors to all the faculty and members of
management. Faculty and Students danced on DJ music and enjoyed the festival.

Poster Making And Slogan Writing
Manthan & Swat Club of College organised a poster making and slogan writing to create
awareness on burning issues traffic rules & Drug Abuse on 14 Septemeber,2019. A total of 20
students took part in the competition and with those colors they depicted their talents and
artistic expressions .In the poster making competition Sejal & Himank of BBA 1st Semester got
first prize , Palak & Tania of BBA 5th Semester got second and Kunika & Komal of BCA 1st
Semester got third appreciation award . In the slogan writing Satyam & Ankit of BBA 3rd
Semester got first prize. Later on all the posters were exhibited in the premises.
CORPORATE DAY (Admad Show and Logo Making)
AD-MAD show was organized on the occasion of Corporate Day on 24th September,
2019.The chief guest of the event was Executive Director Mr.B.S.Pathania. Group 1(BBA 1st
Semester) had six participants .Group 2 (BBA 3rd Semester) had Satyam, Vansh, Inderpal and
Ritik Soni ,Kanika . Group 2 stood first, Group 1 stood second in this competition.The designing
of SWAT Club Logo were also organized at computer lab for BCA students. Rahul Bhardwaj
& Nivesh of BCA 3rd Semester stood first ,Sagar & Anish stood second and Akshit &
Sudhanshu of BCA 3rd Semester stood third position .

Mehandi competition was organised by women cell on the eve of Karva –Chauth on dated
16 October, 2019.40 Girls from BBA, BCA and B.Ed. participated in the competition. First
position was won by Ekta . Second position was won by Navika and Priyanka .Third position
was won by Nishani.

Dronacharya Women Cell held a protest rally to protest against the rape and murder of
Hyderabad veterinarian Dr Priyanka Reddy on 5 December 2019.

A Talent hunt- PRATIBHA was organised for new B.Ed entrants (Session 2019-2021) on 14
September, 2019 .The students showcased their talent in Declamation, Poem recitation ,

Freshers‟ party „Threshhold‟ for B.Ed. students
The freshers‟ party „ Threshold‟ was organised on 23 Oct,2019 to welcome the the new
entrants .The winners of Mr. and Miss Fresher were Himanshu and Sonam. The title of Mr.
Personality was won by Mr. Ayush and Ms. Kavita .
Christmas Celebration
Christmas celebration was organised by Dronacharya Cultural Club on 24th December,2019.
The chief guest of this function was Mr. Kumar Sahil (Voice of Himachal). All the students and
as well as faculty of B.Ed., BBA and BCA participated in the Christmas celebration.
Navrang-Fest
Annual Inter-College Cultural fest NAVRANG-2019, „Where Colors of Diversity Meet Together‟
was organised on 28th March, 2019. Literary Events included Inter college Declamation
competition ,Ad-Mad Show for BBA/BCA Students ,Skill in Teaching Competition .In Sports
Events ,Inter College Chess Competition , Inter College Basketball Competition were
organised. In Cultural Events , Inter College Group Dance Competition , Inter College Mime
Competition were held.In Creative Events , Inter College Technovation Quick Website Design
Competition (For BCA students), Inter College Best out of Waste Competition were

Fresher‟s Party was organised on 31 July 2019. Activities such dance, solo song, Modeling
were organised. Ms. Sejal from BBA 1st & Mr. Shoaib of BBA 1st Semester was adjudged Mr.
& Miss fresher 2019 . Ms. Shweta of BCA 1st & Mr. Kanav Balouria BBA 1st Semester were
adjudged as best Dress Code 2019. Mr. Himank of BBA 1st semester and Ms. Shreya of BCA
1st were adjudged as best personality.
A Mega Job Fest at Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait.
Mega Career Fest was organised at Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait on 14th
May 2019. The career fest was organized in association with Dronacharya Centre for Career
Development, Gaggal, a subsidiary of Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait. More
than hundred students from different Colleges of Kangra, Dharamshala, Shahpur ,Rait
participated in the career fest. Executive Director, Mr. B.S. Pathania welcomed the guests
and urged students to utilize the scientific resources of career decision making at
Dronacharya Centre for Career Development, Gaggal.

Vijay Divas was celebrated by BBA BCA students on the date 26th July 2019.Students and
faculty recalled the contribution of all the great revolutionaries martyrs and defence
personnel .
Teacher‟s day Celebration
Teacher‟s day was celebrated in the college by the students of B.Ed./BBA/BCA on 5th
September 2019.The contribution of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was highlighted by the
students . The students organised cultural event to felicitate their teachers. A cake was cut
during the event . Members of the Management ,Faculty and students attended the event.
Industrial trip/Educational tour of BBA BCA department to Goa was organized on 29th
November to 7th December 2019. 30 students and 4 faculties have gained experience
about company Titoo‟s an Event management Company.
Explorica-2019
The institution organized a Talent Hunt programme EXPLORICA-2019 on 26th November 2019
for the school students of near vicinity in association of Rotary Club. „Inspiring Creativity and
Innovation‟ was the theme of the event. Mr. Gaurav Vig ,Mind and Memory Coach ,
Director, Discover Genius International was the chief guest.

An Inter house Skill in Teaching Competition was organised by Dronacharya Block teaching
Committee on the Theme „Effective Teaching Skills for effective educators‟ on 18th
February,2020 .Mr. Sudhanshu Sharma,Principal,Greenfield Sr.Sec.School,Nagrota Bagwan
was the chief guest. Poonam from group won the top honours whereas Vaishali from group-
8 won second position.
SPECTRUM- Summer Camp
Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait organised SPECTRUM-2019 a three day
interactive, fun and experiential learning initiative for igniting the minds of the students
of 9th to 12th class from 18th to 20th July 2019. The theme for the three-day summer camp
was „Discover, Connect and Empower students to design their future.
Reconstitution of Parent Teachers‟ Association
Dronacharya Parent Teacher Association was reconstituted for the session 2019-20 in
Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait on 14 Dec, 2019.The parents of students of B.Ed.,
BBA and BCA course attended the reconstitution of the Dronacharya Parent Teacher
Association .Mr. Dev Parshad Sharma father of Rishika Sharma (B.Ed. ) was elected the
president . Mrs. Pardeep Sharma was elected Vice- President.Whereas Dr. Ashwani Kumar
was elected General Secretary . Mr. Sarika Sharma was elected as Joint Secretary.Mr.C.L
Dogra was elected as Treasurer.

Dronacharya Alumni Association (Alumni Reunion) was reconstituted on 20 Dec,2019.
Mr. Sachin Guleria was elected the President of Dronacharya Alumni Association. Ms.

SHARP PLUS (Students Holistic Appraisal Recharge Programme) Programme was organised
for B.Ed. students to bring holistic awareness in students for preparing them for bright future .
National Awareness on „Investment management and Financial Planning‟
A guest talk on „Investment management and Financial Planning‟ was organised for BBA
and BCA students on 17th February, 2020. Mr.Karan and Jitender from Mind Provisions were
the resource speakers.

THREE –DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CAMP – IMPACT-U
The first edition of three-day youth empowerment camp was organised (IMPACT-U) from
31st Jan to 02 Feb,2020 for college students. The CAMP CHAMP (Best Active Participation
Award) was won by Swati Chauhan of Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait .IMPACT-
U is an youth empowerment and capacity building initiative for college students to nurture
and strengthen their life skills . The theme for the three-day youth empowerment camp was
Connect,Empower, Reprogramme and Transform . As many as 52 students participated in
IMPACT-U event. A well rounded three- day youth empowerment camp endeavored to
equip students with skill sets to become creative, dynamic, productive and confident
individuals. Sh.Yoginder Verma ,Former Vice Chancellor,CUHP was the chief guest for the
Inaugural. Sh.Jagan Thakur ,SDM ,Shahpur was the chief guest on Valedictory.Dr.B.S
Pathania ,Executive Director proposed vote of thanks.
CELEBRATION OF NIRJALA EKADASI
The Indian festival of Nirjala Ekadasi was celebrated in the Centre on 13th June,2019 to
promote values of unity , cooperation and team work among the students. And to build
promote branding of the Centre.The students of Tally , Banking , ITBP ,Army , Spoken English
, HP police Jail warder participated in it. All the students and faculty were offered
sweetened water. Students were acquainted with courses and incentive schemes by the
faculty.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Dronacharya Centre for Career Development ,Gaggal celebrated Independence day with
gaity and enthusiasm on 15 August,2019.The centre was decorated with tri color balloons
and Indian flags. The students were acquainted with the rich history of India and freedom
struggle. Head of the Centre, Sh. Rajesh Rana informed students about the courses at the
centre and incentive schemes for the students.
TEACHERS‟ DAY CELEBRATION
The teachers‟ day was celebrated in the Centre to commemorate the birth Anniversary of
Dr.Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan and to recognize the efforts of teachers on 05th
September,2019. Students of Spoken English, Patwari ,Forest guard, TGT Arts and Non
medical, Banking part of the event. Head of the Centre ,Sh. Rajesh Rana addressed the
students on Teachers‟ day .He acquainted students with the importance of teachers‟ day.
He glorified the contribution of teachers in students lives. He shared interesting snippets on
Radhakrishan‟s life. A cake was cut and Refreshment was distributed among students and
faculty. A group photo graph was taken on this propitious day.

CELEBRATION ON THE EVE OF DEEPAWALI
A rangoli competition was organised in the centre on the eve of Deepawali on 26
Oct,2019.Students of the centre made colourful rangoli on the theme of Deepawali. Sweets
were distributed among faculty and students.
PRESENTATION ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SOFT SKILLS FOR B.Ed. STUDENTS
Asst.Prof. Anish Korla delivered a presentation to the first year students of B.Ed. course on the
„Importance of Soft Skills‟ and briefed students about soft skills module for B.Ed. students.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO CHANDIGARH
Dronacharya Centre for Career Deveoplment, Gaggal organised educational visit to
Chandigarh to gather information on new practices in Spoken English/Personality
Development on18th &19th October, 2019 .Head of the Centre,Mr.Rajesh Rana and

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AT DRONACHARYA PG COLLEGE,RAIT
A Faculty development Programme was organised by Dronacharya Centre for Career
Development ,Gaggal for the faculty of BBA and BCA on 13th and 14th November,2019 on
„Building a winning team : Power of Communication and Team building‟ and JAVA/Tally . On
the first day,(13th Nov,2019), Asst.Prof.Anish Korla conducted faculty enrichment activities on
self-awareness, positive attitude ,communication and team work for the faculty of BBA and
BCA . Head of the Centre,Mr.Rajesh Rana conducted a training session on JAVA while Ms.
Shweta Dhiman trained faculty on basics of Tally.
WORKSHOP ON „IMPORTANCE OF DERMATOGLYPHICS‟
A workshop on „Importance of Dermatoglyphics‟ was organised on 26 Feb, 2020 at
Dronacharya Center for Career Development, Gaggal. Mr. Gaurav Vig was the chief
resource person. The one day workshop was attended by Dr.Parveen Sharma
