Great Grundorf (君渡城)是跟據 OMSI 原裝城市 Grundorf 發展出來的虛構城市，最初只是為了熟習城市製作而產生。

經過 76-77 City 到 Great Grundorf 1 的擴展，我們認為此城有相當的可玩性，因而決定讓其大幅延伸下去，把近年

我們想到的和學到的都放進去，成為這個集德國、香港、英國以及原創元素於一身的新版本－Great Grundorf 2。

這版本沿用山多、地少、路窄的規劃模式，並進一步對道路進行優化。除了改善指示、加入路牌、護土牆、防撞

欄等道路裝飾外，還新增了一套專為 Great Grundorf 2 而設的巴士站及相關設施，冀能提升駕駛觀感享受。同時，

為了使城市景物更豐富和現代化，我們亦加入了國際機場、貨櫃碼頭、邊境口岸等大型建設，配合高速公路連接

各分區，形成完善的區域網絡。規模之大，為我們歷來作品之冠。

然而，這個城市的製作過程並不簡單，從規劃、實踐、優化再到推出，我們花了過千小時，當中遇過很多技術上

的問題，亦曾經出現不少未知的錯誤令我們懷疑已觸及遊戲程式的極限而想到放棄，經反覆修改後最終檔案能夠

順利面世實在可幸。雖然我們明白並非每位玩家的電腦都能夠負荷到這個城市，也知道這城市仍有很多不足之處

和未能解決的問題，但假如你玩過以後感覺良好，請按此付款對我們表示一點支持，謝謝。此外，我們也特別感

Great Grundorf is a fictional city based on the original map of the game “The Omnibus Simulator” (OMSI). At the initial stage, the city was not considered to be a big project while this was only made for train up our skills. We decided to extend it widely afterwards because we discovered its potential of playability during the process from 76-77 City to Great Grundorf 1. After 3 years of production, Great Grundorf 2, a very large map contains mixed up style of Germany, Hong Kong and Britain with our creativity, is finally released.

In this version, large amounts of inclines and narrow roads are still maintained as its main feature of terrain. At the same time, some improvements for increasing driving experience have also been made including new road signs and instructions, retaining walls, beam barriers as well as the new full set of bus service scenery objects like bus stops and related facilities. Moreover, in order to make the scene rich and modern, we added some new places like an International Airport, Container Terminals, Border Crossing Point and other large buildings. Although the map size is about 20 times greater than the old one, all districts can be easily accessed using the regional highway network.

We brought a lot of new ideas to Great Grundorf 2, but making a map with 34 bus routes is not an easy task. During the thousands of hours we spent, lots of technical problems and unknown errors came out, no matter in the process of planning, testing, optimizing or releasing. Meanwhile, because of the large scale, some developments were compelled to cancel as it seemed that the maximum limitation of the game was nearly being reached. We understood that some computers may not be able to play the map and there are still some inadequacies and failure in the city, but if you feel great after trying our work, please don't hesitate to support us by pressing here for donation.

Taxies always change lane suddenly together on the highway.

原因： Reason:

遊戲本身防止切線功能失效，令所有普通車輛及的士每隔一段距離就會無切線。為了令影響減到最低，我們

設定公路的中線只有的士行駛，使其他普通車輛不會使用中線，成功阻止了普通車輛切線的可能。可惜由於

的士於遊戲中身份較特別，既自成一組獨立車組，亦同時屬於普通車輛，因此的士仍會於中線及快線之間遊

走，暫時未有方法解決。

All vehicles including taxis will change lanes very often because "overtaking prohibition" feature of the game is not functional. To minimize this problem, we had set only taxis can use the middle lane of highway, so that other traffic groups can stay in lane 1 or 3. However, since taxis at the same time also belong to normal vehicle traffic group, we can not prevent taxies changing between lane 1 and middle lane.


盡量使用慢線，不要跟車太貼。

Use lane 3 and keep certain distance.

公路車輛行車速度緩慢，並經常減速

Speed of vehicle in highway is slow, and they always decelerate.

原因： Reason:

我們已將全部公路路段的行車速度設定為 100km/h。然而行車速度仍有可能因為視野距離不足而變得緩慢，

因為遊戲每載入一塊新 tile 或新 objects 都會同時載入新的 AI 車輛，該些新載入的車輛會由 0 開始加速，容

易造成塞車。

We had set the path speed on highway to 100km/h although the speed limit of traffic signs showed 70km/h. Actual speed may still affect by visibility setting because new AI vehicles would exist and start accelerate from 0km/h when new tiles or objects loaded. If the visibility setting is too low, it would easily cause traffic jam.


增加可視距離及 tile 數目，使 ai 車輛於較遠的位置載入，減低影響。

Increase "visibility distance" and "number of tile loaded", so that new AI vehicles can be loaded and started from a longer distance.

駛到車站時，於另一邊車站候車的乘客都會過來上車

Passengers from bus stops at the other side come for boarding.

原因： Reason:

遊戲本身問題，當兩個車站距離過於接近時，乘客有機會在錯誤的位置候車，華富邨、南越谷站及河畔發展

區情況更為明顯。

It's a defect of the game design. If the distance between two bus stops is too short, passengers may wait for bus in wrong location. We found that this situation is being more serious in Wah Fu Estate, South Valley Railway Station and River Side.

Surface of hills are being lit by tunnel lights.

蓋著隧道的山勢由 spline 堆砌而成，若隧道內設定 lightmap 發光，隧道上的 spline 都會同時發光。

The hills on the top of tunnel were built by spline, as for the 2D limitation of light map, objects on top of tunnels would also be lighted.

飛行 Path 本來可以令飛機飛得很快，但無法順利做到起飛和降落，因此遊戲中的飛機我們改用了汽車 Path。

或許受到遊戲本身對汽車速度的限制，我們經過多次嘗試都無法將飛機提升速度。

We use normal vehicle path instead of flight path for air traffic because the later one can not let planes take off or land. However, it seems that there are limitations for normal vehicle in the game, we have no ideas for speeding up the scheduled air traffic..

原因可能有兩個。

第一是有檔案遺漏，請確保下載回來的檔案正確地複製到 OMSI 資料夾內。

第二是硬件問題，此城市對硬件配置有頗高要求，關閉電腦中不必要的程式、降低畫面質素、關閉 ai 車輛聲

音等設定有助減低遊戲佔用記憶體容量，增加成功進入城市的機會。假如仍無法進入城市，請考慮提升硬件

配置，否則應該沒其他方法解決。

There maybe two reasons. 1. Files missing. Please ensure that all files downloaded are correctly placed into OMSI directory.2. Hardware problems. This map requires fast and good hardware to run. Anyone who can not enter the game aresuggested to close all unnecessary applications, decrease the graphic setting and switch off the AI sound effects in order to lower the usage of computer memory. If the problem continues, you are strongly recommended to improve the hardware configuration.
