CPC (pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100/-(PB-3) with Grade pay of Rs. 5400) plus NPA - reg.

Dear candidates,

I am directed to say that on the recommendations of the Union Public Service Commission, the President is pleased to Offer you appointment to the post of Medical Officer(Ayurveda)/ Research Officer(Ayurveda) in the Central Government Health Scheme(CGHS) under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India on the following terms and conditions:-

i. The post is temporary and you will be appointed on an officiating basis only. You will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of appointment, which may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority. The confirmation will be after successful completion of probationary period. Failure to complete the period of probation to the satisfaction of the competent authority will render you liable to be discharged from service at any time without any notice and assigning any reason. After the satisfactory completion of the period of probation, the termination of the appointment will be after giving three months' notice on either side. The appointing authority, however, reserves the right to terminating your services forthwith before the expiration of the stipulated period of notice by making payment to you sum equivalent to the pay and allowances for the period of notice or the unexpired portion thereof.

ii. The scale of pay of the post is Rs. 56,100-Rsl,77,500/- + NPA in the Level-lO of Revised Pay Matrix as admissible as per CCS(Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 and initial pay will be fixed in the scale according to rules or as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

iii. Non-practicing allowance is admissible at the rate of 20% of the basic pay subject to the condition that the sum of basic and NPA does not exceed Rs.2,37,500 (Rupees Two Lakhs Thirty Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Only/-)-or as recommended by the Government from time to time.

iv. Dearness and other allowances as admissible to Central Government servants of corresponding status at the place of duty.

v. Private practice of any kind whatsoever, including laboratory and consultancy practice is prohibited.

vi. You are required to contribute towards the Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme, 1980 at such rates as may be prescribed by the Government according to rules.

vii. You are required to contribute for the New Pension Scheme which will have two tiers contribution. Tier-I is mandatory for all Government Servants joining Government service on or after 01.01.2004, whereas, Tier-TI will be optional and at the discretion of Government Servant, and will also be in accordance with rules in force from time to time.

viii. The appointment carries with it the liability of service in any part of India or outside.

ix. You are liable to be posted as Medical Officer(Ayurveda) in the CGHS or as Research Officer(Ayurveda) in the Ministry of Ayush.

x. You will, if so required, be liable to serve in any Defence services or post connected with the Defence of India for a period of not less than 04 years including the period spent on training if any provided that (a) you will not be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment (b) you will not ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years.

xi. The candidate bearing Roll No. 0021263 (OBC) and Roll No. 0022382 (OBC/PH) will have to undergo three months and six months training respectively organized by Ministry of Ayush.

xii. In accordance with the existing instructions, a person shall not be eligible for appointment under Government of India, if he has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living or who having a spouse living has entered into or contracted

marriage with any person, provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that there are special reasons for doing so, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. This provisional offer of appointment is therefore, conditional upon satisfying the

requirements mentioned above and also furnishing to this Ministry a declaration to that

effect in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure-Il. If, however, you desire to be

exempted from this operation of this rule for any special reason(s), you should make a

representation in this behalf immediately in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure-Ill.

xiii. On appointment, you will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of

India or make a solemn affirmation to that effect in the prescribed form.

xiv. You are not entitled to any TA for joining the appointment.

xv. Other Conditions of service will be governed by the relevant rules and orders issued from

time to time.

xvi. If you are already in service in Central Government! State Government! PSU! Autonomous body etc., you are required to submit formal Relieving Order by the respective

organization certifying that your conduct during the present employment doesn't render

you unsuitable for the Government Service.

xvii. You are required to bring the original certificates in support of educational qualification, Date of Birth, Experience, Caste!Community along with two sets of attested copies at the

time ofjoining duty.

xviii. If any declaration given or information furnished by you proves to be false or if you are found to have willfully suppressed any material information, you will be liable to removal

from the service and such other action as Government may deem necessary.

xix. The appointment is provisional and subject to the verification of character & antecedents and caste certificates(if applicable) through proper channel and in case, character & antecedents and caste certificate of the candidate is found not verified or any false information is given by the candidate in his!her self-declaration, the provisional

appointment letter will be cancelled forthwith and other criminal!legal action will also be

taken, as a consequence. 3

2. If you accept the Offer of appointment on the above terms and conditions, you will send your acceptance and report for duty to the Under Secretary (Establishment-I) within 15 days from the date of receipt of this letter. If no reply is received by the stipulated time, it will be presumed that you are not interested in the Offer and thus, the Offer of appointment will be treated as cancelled.
