The Allure EC-Sensor series are versatile room temperature sensors. All Allure EC-Sensor models possess an integrated temperature sensor for precision local temperature sensing. In addition, some models feature a rotary knob for setpoint adjustment, fan speed setting, and a push button for occupancy override. The alluring, slim profile enclosure is suitable for classrooms, hotels, executive areas, office spaces and commercial areas.

The PDCSY-TT-555 is a low cost, Direct Output Temperature Sensor used to measure air temperature, especially in fan-coil units etc., and contain either a high quality thermistor, nickel or platinum sensing element suitable for the range –10 to +60°C. The sensing element is housed in a 25 mm long acetyl probe, with two metres of 2-core screened cable fitted as standard. Longer lengths can be made to order. Order option (-R) for a cap with the element potted in a waterproof compound.

PDCSY-TT-PO521 and PDCSY-TT-PO-HP range of Stainless Steel Pockets are for use with immersion sensors PDCSY-TT-341 and PDCSY-TT-342. The two part welded PDCSY-TT-PO521 pockets are intended for low flow applications. They may be used in applications such as sumps or storage tanks or low flowing water in pipes. For applications requiring installation in high flowing water, the PDCSY-TT-PO-HP should be used. Pockets are designed to accept either a 65mm (2.56”), 150mm (5.91”) or 250mm (9.84”) x 6mm (0.24”) dia. probes, which are locked in position by a grub screw.These pockets can be installed in any system that is constructed from compatible materials whose operating pressures and flow rates are within the specified ranges.

An automatic and fixed connection is made between the valve stem and the drive shaft. The cone (which is made of brass) controls an equal-percentage flow in the control passage.

To compensate for the complementary characteristic of the consumer and to guarantee an identical quantity of medium regardless of the valve position, the mixing passage acts with a linear characteristic. The tightness of this valve is guaranteed by the seat which is machined in the body. The stuffing box is maintenance-free; it consists of a brass body, 2 O-rings, a wiper ring and the grease reserve. The PDCSY-LS-UT provides accurate level measurement for liquids in tanks or sumps in applications where non-contact level monitoring is the preferred option.

The 4-20mA loop powered output represents the distance between the surface of the liquid being detected and the transmitter. It has a user programmable measuring range of up to 8 meters, it works by sending out ultrasonic sound waves from its sensor, the sound waves reflect off the surface of the liquid in the vessel and return back to the sensor. The time taken to perform this process is calculated and then converted to provide a measurement in metres.

The PDCSY-LS-CAP-1 is suitable for conducting liquids such as water whilst the PDCSY-LS-CAP-2 is designed for use with clean, low viscosity non-conducting liquids such as oil. Space Air Quality TransmittersPDCSY-GS-AQ

The PDCSY-GS-AQ series of air quality transmitters are designed for use with the control of fresh air for ventilation purposes.

They determine the air quality through measurement of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and other mixed gases, based on the tried and tested SnO2 sensor technology.

The sensor element responds to a broad range of contaminants, such as Ammonia (NH3) and Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), generated from waste materials in office and home environments. It also has high sensitivity to low concentrations of VOCs such as toluene emitted from wood finishing and construction products. This signal can be used to control fresh air fans and dampers according to the ventilation load.

Using the latest high accuracy RH & T° element, the PDCSY-RH-1000 has options such as setpoint adjustment, momentary switch and fan speed selection, together with a multi-line backlit LCD display. A 0-10Vdc override status input option is also available, allowing occupancy indication on the display.

0-10Vdc, 0-5Vdc or 4-20mA (loop or externally powered) outputs for all measured values are available as standard. A directly connected passive thermistor temperature output is also available, as an alternative to the standard active temperature output.

HVAC Drives 102 Series The 102 HVAC Drive embeds the latest functional and electronics innovations to contribute to building energy efficiency while reducing operating costs and CO2 footprint. Advancements in energy monitoring, trending, system maintenance and operation are combined with a modular platform to make the drive easy to operate while feeding back all the operation information you need.

APPLICATIONSPumps Vital water supply can be ensured in case of leak or pipe break. Thermical overload is for example avoided by decreasing the speed, and the water supply is ensured with a reduced rating. Aiming at energy savings, the drive detects low flow situations by increasing the system pressure, then stops the motor. It restarts automatically when the pressure reaches the lowest setpoint.

Fans The fire protection mode prevents the drive from stopping in case of critical situation. It keeps driving the machine as long as possible. Thanks to its modular structure, the 102 HVAC Drive is perfectly suitable for integration in Building Management Systems or with stand-alone programmable controllers. It avoids the bandwidths with which the fan generates resonance in the fan system, and therfore improves comfort in the building. In case of fire, the 102 HVAC Drive maintains a higher atmospheric pessure in staircases than in the other parts of the building so as to keep the smoke down in escape routes.

The CPS-x condensation prevention sensor is designed to meet the requirements for a low cost device to provide early warning of condensing conditions. Applications include chilled beam/ceiling systems where control safeguards are required to avoid ‘indoor rain’.

The sensor provides either an open collector (CPS-5) or a volt-free contact output (CPS-24) and is housed in a small enclosure which can be strapped to the surface that requires monitoring.

Meters for measuring the volume flow in heating and cooling systems. The MW range of flow sensors are meters especially designed for the special conditions in heating and cooling circuits. The pulse transmission takes place via the tried and tested reed-contact and is thus, compatiblewith the PDCSY-MW-MD.

The special construction and the material design guarantee long-term measuring stability and high reliability. All of the flow sensors are designed for temperatures up to 120°C with safety up to 130°C.

MULTI-JET FLOW SENSORS

PDCSY-MW-MJ flow sensors (DN20 to 40) have proven themselves for use with heavier flows. They are available for horizontal installation positions.

The PDCSY-MW-MJR (riser pipe) and PDCSY-MW-MJD (down pipe) meters have the advantage for vertical piping. Due to the low bearing load, this results in improvements in the long-term stability of measuring results.

Heat energy is calculated by using a matched pair of high accuracy sensors to measure the difference between the forward and flow temperatures. The amount of water flowing through the circuit is measured by the water meter, and the microprocessor-controlled calculator then calculates the consumed heat energy from the temperature and flow data. The large, easy-to-read display shows the energy used. Additional measurement and instrument data can be easily displayed by scanning the display loops. The integrated non-volatile E2PROM automatically stores the meter data once a day. It is possible to view the last 18 monthly values from the display.

Ultrasonic Heat Sensors have no moving parts in the volume flow which makes them almost wear free and noiseless. They measure the flow by using the transit time principle, one ultrasonic signal is launched in the flow direction and one against the flow direction. The flow rate is concluded by the delay time measured and the information is then transmitted to the calculator by the way of electronic pulses.

The PDCSY-PM-EM21 is a compact Energy Meter that has a removable front LCD display that allows it to be either DIN-rail or panel mounted. The energy meter is designed for active and reactive energy metering.

All operations, including programming and viewing up to seven display pages are performed using the two push buttons on the detachable display. It is possible to block the access to programming by means of a trimmer position on the rear of the display.

Certified according to MID Directive, Annex ‘B’ ‘Type examination’ relevant to active electrical energy meters (see EU Directive 2004/22/EC, Annex MI-003).

This new series of Current Transducers provide accurate load trending information with a choice of 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc and 0-5Vdc output signals. They provide accurate, reliable and maintenance-free operation. Solid and split-core versions are available with current ratings up to 100A. The PDCSY-ST thermostats, are well suited for a number of applications of temperature control or safety cut-out in pipe work systems, calorifiers, duct work systems, green houses and many other installations. They all have the set-point adjustment under the cover to prevent unauthorised tampering.

They are available in two types; CONTROL THERMOSTATS (AUTO RESET)with an adjustable set point, adjustable differential and auto reset, which provides a switched output to a heater or controller.

The PDCSY-ST-FRE range of Frost Thermostats provide a switch output based on the average temperature detected along a two or six metre capillary sensor. A common application is for frost protection on fresh air intakes or airconditioning systems, to prevent the icing up of filters, fans and coils. The capillary is fixed in a matrix across the duct, in a position downstream of the pre-heater or frost coil.
