When it comes to fun, friendship, action and adventure, it’s hard to find anything that beats the Army Cadets.Become an Army Cadet and you’ll be spending your spare time taking part in adventurous activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, archery and abseiling. The Fire Cadet scheme is designed to encourage growth in confidence, self-esteem, practical and theoretical skills.
While a fire cadet, the young people are enrolled on to a BTEC in Teamwork and Personal skill (13-15 Level 1 & 16-18 Level 2). Although the scheme ends at 18 there are opportunities to continue as a Volunteer Instructor.

Boston Castle is now a small visitor attraction with historical information and displays on the history of the Castle, an interactive touch screen, and children’s costumes and games.

Kepple’s Column is an interesting historic Monument in the Kimberworth Park and Scholes area and it is interesting to read the history behind this monument!
Great place to visit although you cannot access the interior of the building you are able to walk round it and there are plenty of places to walk after visiting this.

A lovely local piece of history, the chapel was built in 1483 and is one of only six bridge chapels left in England. Though it is now a functional church, the crypt and cell doors stand as a reminder of the time it served as Rotherham’s jail.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the chapel, a good place to visit for anyone interested in local history.
