D. G. Jones and Partners was founded in 1961 by Donald G. Jones, FRICS. The practice is organised on a corporate basis with the parent company registered in Cyprus and with 30 offices in Europe, the Middle East, the U.S., Africa, the Far East, South East Asia and Australia. Having offices established around the five continents, it has become one of the most widespread practices specialising in Project Management, Contracts Management, Construction Cost Control and Quantity Surveying outside the United Kingdom.

 Traditionally the services provided were those normally associated with the Quantity Surveying profession not only on general construction work but also heavy engineering and agricultural projects. The practice now concentrates on project management, construction management, facilities management, arbitration services, value engineering, contract administration, analysis & risk management, life cycle costing and value management.

 All offices work to the same high standards and use well established procedures to meet the particular requirements of the construction industry appropriate to the country.

 The practice offers services to owners directly and also to architects, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering consultants, both internationally and locally. Resulting from its long experience internationally and the detailed knowledge of construction costs, contractors and local conditions acquired by each of the various offices, the practice is often called upon to provide advice to Government and Municipal departments, financial institutions and developers.

 The practice has a policy of sponsoring suitably educated students at colleges in the U.K. and as a result now employs professionally qualified Surveyors in the Various Offices where it operates.

 The practice has been responsible for the official Arabic translation of the RICS Principles of Measurement International (POMI) and the Arabic translation of the International Conditions of Contract for Works of Civil Engineering Construction - (FIDIC).

 The wealth of experience gained world-wide over many years together with the close co-ordination and communication between its offices and personnel enables D. G. Jones & Partners to readily adapt to the circumstances of a project and to identify, recommend and carry out the services best suited to meet the Client's requirements.

 D G Jones and Partners has a broad Client base including Government ministries and departments, banks, developers, local authorities, industrial concerns, aid agencies, retail outlets, contractors, loss adjusters, hotel groups and architectural and engineering consultants.

Offices in Beirut were opened in 1962, in Kuwait 1965, Dubai and Sharjah in 1967, Abu Dhabi and Muscat in 1968, Doha, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia in the early Seventies.  Being in the Middle East in the period of major development meant that D.G. Jones and Partners was involved in every type of project imaginable. The Doha Office, which was established in 1972, is one of the leading Construction Consultancy and Project Management practices in Qatar.  Over the years in Qatar, the practice has been able to develop an extensive knowledge of the local market and conditions.
