Comparatives and SuperlativesSorting Activity

Preparation:1. Copy Sorting Mats and Words to Sort (1 set per group/partner/center) on

cardstock, or other heavy paper. 2. Cut the Words to sort and shuffle them. They are currently set up in order.

Hint: With sets of sorting cards, I always the same sticker or shape on each card of one set. This way of the cards are accidentally mixed up I do not have to resort all of the sets. I also put this same mark on the outside of the envelope for the cards.

Student Directions:

1. Spread out all of the words, so you can see them.2. Separate the words into similar word groups.3. Using the sorting map, organize the adjectives into their correct columns.4. Continue with all of the adjectives until you have completed them all.
