The three coordinates of colour.

hue

Hue’s that attribute of colour that allows us to identify and to differentiate a colour.

Colors that belong to different hues:

hue

Hues are ordered in a chromatic circle.

Value

The Value depends on the amount of light reflected from a surface.Value is the quality of color that allows us to differentiate a luminous color from a dark one.

White is the lightest color because it reflects 100%.

Value

Colors placed directly on the central axis constitute the grayscale; running from white to black with all the intermediate grays in between.

Chroma

Chroma depends on the amount of gray contained in a color. A color with maximum Chroma doesn’t contain gray.

Adding gray (or white or black), a color becomes weak in Chroma.
