WelcometoAnatomyandPhysiologyI.Thiscourseisweb-enhancedthroughBlackboard,withsome work and most testing done online. You’re expected to have basic computer skillsnecessaryfordoingacademicworkonline.Iwillhelpyougetfamiliarwiththeonlinepartofthecourseduringthefirstcoupleofweeks.Whenusingyourpersonalcomputerforonlinework,youare responsible for any technical problems EXCEPT verified Blackboard server problems,which arerare.Almostallissuescanbetracedtothestudent’scomputer,sobesuretousethelatestversionofFirefox(nootherbrowser)andkeepallsoftwareup-to-date.Electronicdevices,includingtabletsandphones,donotalwaysdependablysupportBlackboard,souseafamiliarcomputerforallyourtesting.Thissyllabusprovidesdirectionandfocustohelpyoustayontrack.It’sessentiallyacontract,anagreementbetweenyouandtheinstructor(me)aboutperformance,conduct,andgrading.Init,Idescribethestructureandrequirementsofthecourse,andexplainyourresponsibilitiesasastudent.Ifyouareunabletodevotethetimerequiredtodothework(especiallyifyouplanto take vacation other than during Spring Break), you should drop the course before theDrop/Add period ends and take it at a later date. Withdrawal:Astudentmaywithdrawfromacourseonlyduringthesemesterinwhichs/heisregisteredforthatcourse.Thewithdrawalperiodisthe2ndthrough12thweekofthefallandspringsemestersandthe2ndthrough9thweekof12-weeksummercourses.Thisperiodispro-ratedforshorterlength courses.
