Focus is on placing students in various establishments according to their areas of interest

and specialization, Numerous corporate interactions in the form of Guest Lectures,

National Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, Webinars and industrial visits are held to

enable students to understand real-life situations and experiences. More than 300

companies visit GLA University every year offer jobs and placement opportunities as

University provides up to 5 opportunities to student to select their career path.

Placement Ready Enhancement Program (PREP) through the training of verbal, numerical,

logical and analytical skills leads students to become industry ready and enables them to

face the interviews of various In-campus and Off-campus placement drives.

Industry 4.0 has been defined as “a name for the current trend of automation and data

exchange in manufacturing technologies, including cyber-physical systems, the Internet

of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing and creating the smart factory”.

Industry 4.0 is a vision that evolved from an initiative to make the German manufacturing

industry more competitive (‘Industrie 4.0’) to a globally adopted term.

Industry 4.0 is often used interchangeably with the notion of the fourth industrial

revolution. It is characterized by, among others,

1) Even more automation than in the third industrial revolution.

2) The bridging of the physical and digital world through cyber-physical systems,

enabled by Industrial IoT.

3) A shift from a central industrial control system to one where smart products define

the production steps.

4) Closed-loop data models and control systems.

5) Personalization/customization of products

GLA University in collaboration with Dysmech Competency Services (DCS), Pune, has set up the Center for Skill and Entrepreneur Development (CSED) a functional industry inside the campus wherein students will be exposed to the industrial ecosystem with project-

based learning program. Course Offered:

B.Tech. – Computer Sciences Engineering (CSE) in specialization with Industrial IoT.

B.Tech. – Mechanical Engineering (ME) in specialization with Smart Manufacturing.

CSED at GLAU is working on skill development as an industry partner to bridge the gap. We call it “Industry inside an Institute.

Highlights:

Hands on experience on Industry Sized Equipment

Simulation and designing on Industrial Licensed Softwire’s of global brands like

PTC, Dassault & Mastercam.

Corporate experienced faculty for niche technologies

Live Industrial Project as part of curriculum.

Value for Students: Industry Ready Engineer With Experience of 1 To 2 Years

Students Would Get To Work on Industrial Problem Statements.

Provide Platform For Publications, Patents And Industry Sponsored Projects.

Students Would Be Preferred For Lateral Hiring Against The Fresh Hiring.

Ac t i v i t i e s by G L A Un i ve rs i t y There is a famous saying, “Service to man is service to God.”. When an organization gets involved in serving the society, some refer to it as “CSR”, others call it “Social service”, and yet others term it “helping others”.

Whichever way one chooses to refer to it, GLA University strongly believes in “giving back to the society.”

Over the years several CSR activities have been successfully conducted and continue to be conducted by us.

Be it helping the underprivileged children or getting involved in cleaning activities or even sharing our expertise with school children or even spreading health awareness, we feel fortunate to be able to make our humble contribution in all these areas.

The following are the six primary social initiatives run by GLA University: 1. PRAYAAS
