Executive Summary

The academic year begun with grand success in form of good admission. Department of

Management received overwhelmed response for it’s both the courses. Master of Business

Administration and Integrated MBA. Presently had intake of 115 optimistic MBA Students

and 20 IMBA students.

To welcome young budding professionals institute has organized three days orientation

programme. The programme consist of various motivational sessions, Games, and talk

shows. Expert from outside were invited to groom the students. There were session on

leadership, Motivation, Goal setting, Sexual Harassment and ragging, and team building.

Student learn various concept with management game and role play exercise.

Institute has organized fresher’s party. The purpose of this event is that every “fresher” of

institute feels like an integral part of the Srimca’s family and readies to take on challenge of

the year ahead.

Srimca is always proud on its dedicated and hardworking faculties, who are constantly

upgrading themselves to match with demands from students and industry. Our faculty

members have delivered talks on various topics nationally & internationally. Total number

of publication of our faculties are more than 162 and 8 book publication. Seven students and

one faculty member Mr. Krunal Patel visited cape Breton university of Canada for summer

internship. Educational, cultural and industrial tour to Germany by 9 students along with

faculty Mr. Mulchand Sen. HOD Dr. Prashant Joshi visited University of Essex,UK for

doing course on Big Data and Data Analytics. One of the faculty has conducted corporate

training session for Birla Cellulosic, Kharach, IFFCO Gandhidham and Reliance

Infrastructure, Dahnu. Dr. Prashant Joshi conducted full day workshop on “Financial

modelling” at Department of economics, MSU. Apart from taking regular lectures faculties

have also delivered talk on various management topic for the institute student’s like

Portfolio Performance Measurement and Attribution using R, Guerrilla Marketing, goal

setting, motivation etc . Throughout the year.

At SRIMCA Last year institute conducted more than 85 Workshops, Seminars, Expert

Talks, soft skill programme delivered by expert from industries and academics. This year


students got a chance to interact with leading entrepreneurs like Mr. Jayesh Desai, Owner –

Rajhansh group Surat. They learned business ethics and leadership mantra from Shri Govind

Dholakia, Founder SRK exports, Surat. As a part of international faculty exchange program,

Department of Management, had organized one day International Faculty Development

Programme on Effective Teaching Methodology: A Case Approach. Dr. Andrew

Carrothers, Professor at the School of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island in

Canada was the resource person. Dr.Andrew Carrothers delivered expert talk on various

topics like “law, business and ethics”, Taxation, Leadership case studies, corporate finance

and financial crisis for Management students. This year students gain knowledge on various

topic like Technical Analysis, Corporate Communication and Professional Etiquette, “Wise

Investment, Problem Solving, LAW, ETHICS and BUSINESS. They have also participated

at Seminar on “Selling, Marketing, Advertising, and Branding”, was organized by Southern

Gujarat Chamber of Commerce (SGCCI), Surat.

This year we have record break participation by our students. Our students have showcase

their potential and talent by participating in various inter college competitions organized by

various institution across India. They won Second Prize in Product Launch, Team Building,

Rangoli and Case Analysis .They also won Highest Prize Winning Institute Award at

Protsahan 2016. Our students sparkle at UTH FEST 2016 by securing first rank in

Extempore, short film making and Runners Up in Business Start Up, Solo Singing and Ad

making.

To bridge the gap between practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge, our department

has organized various Industrial Visits. This year we our students visited Amul Dairy,

Aanand, Parle G Pimpari and , Katraj Milk dairy chinchvad.

Apart from academic activities department is always concern for the holistic growth of

students. For this purpose institute has set up various clubs and committees. To begin with

cultural club have organized various programmes like fresher’s party, celebration of various

festivals like independence day, Janamstami , Teacher’s day and celebration of various days.

Women Development Cell and Committee against sexual harassment of the college has been

actively working for the betterment of the female students in the college. It aims at


conducting discussions about the problems of girls studying in the college cell. They have

organized various competition like Mehendi, Nail art , documentary film making, role play

on various women issues. A session on sexual harassment was organized at orientation

programme.

Red Ribbon club in and NSS unit of institute have jointly organized many social outreach

activities like plantation, Blood donation, Expert talk, Awareness session on thalassemia ,

save electricity, celebration of constitution day etc. we are proud to announce that this

year more than 160 students take pledge to donate their eyes. More than 450 students

registered themselves for VISAKA Abhiyan, Rs. 8000 was donated for communal harmony

fund of government of India.

One of the most important events is Annual Sports Day. Throughout the academic year our

college students participated in various inter-collegiate sports competitions under guidance

of sport club. Girls’ team have Won Inter College Volleyball Tournament and boys were

Runners up in Inter College Cricket Tournament Organized by Srimad Raj Chandra School

of Sport UTU.

Our department is always concern for students benefit and growth, we always try to give

them all the facility and benefits sponsored by the government. This year also we have

received and distributed government scholarship worth Rs. 257790 for 7 students who were

eligible for this.

The Placement Cell of our college remains a boon to the Final Year Students who go out

with a job in their hands after their completion of course till date more than 29 companies

have already visited for placement. Tomorrow also 4 companies are going to visit campus.

Many students have appeared for interviews and placed successfully. And we hope that till

completion of their course all will be placed. Apart from placement our students were also

got and opportunity for internship training in various reputed companies.

Our students both UG and PG produce good results in the University Examinations. On

convocation day 180 students received their degree from honorable chief guest shri. Gafur

kha Bilakhia sir. All these achievements were possible because of the commitment of all

concerned, the BPKM trust, Management, Teaching, Non-Teaching staff and the students.

The academic session of the college began on 15th June 2016. This year college admitted

181 students in first year of BBA and B.Com (Computer Application) courses.
