Capacity Building with Teachers Teachers piloted new STEM curriculum units during summer camps

Professional development is occurring that familiarizes teachers with new technologies and new tools

Through a partnership with Microsoft (TEALS) industry professionals work side-by-side in the classrooms with LCPS Computer Science Teachers

Through a Loudoun Education Foundation grant, a STEM cohort of 15 teachers are focused on pedagogy, inquiry instruction and curriculum development

Curriculum Development Virtual Loudoun Online Courses were launched

Cyber security curriculum is being integrated into the Computer Systems Technology course

Engineering courses are increasing in rigor and efforts are occurring to increase access to the courses

At Blue Ridge Middle School, the keyboarding curriculum will include coding contents and activities

Integrated units of study are being piloted
