SCHOOL OF COMPUTING AND INFORMATICS

CONFEREMENT OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE

The Dean, Faculty of Science will rise, bow and present the following candidates for the

conferment of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy of Kibabii University.

As the Dean reads out the name, the candidate will walk to the dais with cap off, escorted by

supervisors and kneel before The Chancellor.

The Chancellor will then cap the graduand and simultaneously confer the Degree on him/her by

saying:

“I admit you to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy and by my authority and that of the entire

University, give power to read and to do all that appertains to this degree”.

The candidate will then stand, receive his degree certificate from the Chancellor. The candidate

shall bow to the Chancellor, and be escorted back to his seat.
