KATA PENGANTAR

Puji syukur penulis panjatkan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa sehingga

penulis dapat menyelesaikan tugas akhir yang berjudul “Perancangan Buku Self-

Help Interaktif tentang Toxic Relationship untuk Usia Remaja 12-25 Tahun”.

Tugas akhir ini disusun atas ketertarikan penulis dalam membahas bagaimana

setiap pasangan harus sadar dengan kondisi toxic relationship.

Topik ini dipilih karena penulis melihat fenomena mengenai toxic

relationship yang terjadi pada remaja tidak disadari karena terjebak dalam kata

‘cinta’. Topik ini dianggap penting karena dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dari

hubungan yang tidak sehat adalah beberapa gangguan psikis seperti stres, merasa

terisolasi, rendah diri, dan fobia sosial. Target pembaca dari tugas akhir ini adalah

remaja perempuan usia awal dan akhir yang mempunyai pasangan.

Ucapan terima kasih kepada orang-orang yang membantu TA. Ucapan ini

ABSTRAKSI

Dalam perkembangan masa remaja, menjalani hubungan dengan orang lain

merupakan bentuk support bagi individu tersebut untuk menemukan jati dirinya.

Namun, dalam proses perkembangan tersebut beberapa remaja tidak menyadari

bahwa hubungan yang dijalani dapat berubah menjadi hubungan yang toxic. Pada

fase di mana remaja masih ada dalam tahapan emosi yang labil, beberapa remaja

masih kesulitan dalam mengambil suatu keputusan yang bijak dalam hubungan

dan memilih bersikap denial untuk mempertahankan hubungan yang toxic

sehingga berdampak pada kesehatan psikis dan fisiknya. Untuk itu diperlukannya

penyampaian informasi untuk membantu membangun kesadaran remaja

(pasangan) mengenai toxic relationship yang dikemas dalam bentuk buku self-

help interaktif. Perancangan buku self-help interaktif meliputi proses

pengumpulan data dengan metode gabungan (kuantitatif dan kualitatif),

melakukan proses pencarian ide lewat metode perancangan Human Centered

Design (HCD), merancang konsep dan desain visual buku, dan melakukan

implementasi karya serta melakukan user test untuk evaluasi akhir. Perancangan

buku self-help interaktif dapat membantu membangun kesadaran remaja terhadap

toxic relationship lewat interactive visual storytelling dan proses refleksi mandiri

yang terdapat pada konten buku.

ABSTRACT

In the process of adolescent growth, having a relationship with other individuals

is a support for the teenager to find their identity. Although in that process not all

teenagers realize that the relationship can change into a toxic relationship. In a

phase where teenagers still have unstable emotion, many of them feel troubled to

pick a wise decision in a relationship and choose to be denial to maintain that

toxic relationship which lead to harm their psychic and physical health.

Therefore, there is still a need to inform the youth to help building awareness

about toxic relationship by self-help interactive book. This self-help interactive

book design involves the process of collecting data by mixed methods

(quantitative and qualitative), obtaining idea by design method using Human

Centered Design(HCD), designing concept and visual book design, implementing

the design and doing user test to final evaluate. This self-help interactive book

project is made to help building teenagers awareness about toxic relationship by

interactive visual storytelling and the process of self reflection through the

content of the book.
