Background: (he role o) the neutro*hil+l&m*ho"&te ratio N-R in stroke

dianosis has not /een thorouhl& ealuated. (he N-R has /een re"onied

as a marker o) in)lammation. !in"e a stroke "auses lo"al in)lammation, the

N-R should /e in)luen"ed. Hoeer, sin"e this in)lammation is the result o)

ase*ti" damae o) the relatiel& small a))e"ted area o) the /rain, an N-R that

is e3"essiel& dierent )rom the aerae alue de"reases the likelihood o) a

stroke4s *resen"e. (he N-R "an /e "al"ulated usin a routine /lood test.

Objective: (his stud& determined the dianosti" alue o) the N-R in stroke

re"onition. Methods: ata o) all in"omin *atients ith sus*e"ted stroke

)rom Raritan %a& Medi"al Center oer the *eriod o) 6 &ears 2010+2016

as "olle"ted. (he sini)i"an"e o) ae, se3, smokin, *resen"e o) dia/etes,

a/normal renal )un"tion, and d&sli*idemia as ruled out usin the t+test and

"hi+suared test. (he Re"eier '*eratin Chara"teristi" R'C )or di))erent

N-R alues as "om*ared /& "onstru"tin R'C s*a"e, R'C inerse "harts,

and R'C "ontinen"& ta/les.

Results: (he stud& reealed the inerse "orrelation /eteen the N-R and

stroke *resen"e. $n N-R a/oe 8.0 de"reases the likelihood o) the *resen"e

o) a stroke, hile an N-R loer than 8.0 makes the dianosis o) a stroke

more *ro/a/le in *atients ith stroke+like s&m*toms.

Conclusion: (he N-R has dianosti" alue in stroke re"onition. 9t "an /e

used as a tool in rulin out the *resen"e o) a stroke.

!tudi ini menunka*kan korelasi ter/alik antara N-R dan teradin&a stroke. N-R di atas

8.0 menurunkan kemunkinan adan&a stroke, sedankan N-R le/ih rendah dari 8,0

dianosis stroke le/ih munkin *ada *asien denan eala stroke.

K&si*+uln(

N-R memiliki nilai dianostik dalam mendianosis stroke. NR- da*at diunakan se/aai

alat untuk menetahui a*akah teradi stroke.
