Nelson Mandela – In Prison• In prison for 27 years.• Encouraged black South Africans to go on strike.• illegally leaving South Africa.• Fought for an end to apartheid in South Africa.• Named a terrorist.• Nelson’s prison number was 46664.

What Nelson Stood Up For• The rights of black people. • Wanted black people to be treated the same as white

people.
