i Laporan Tahunan Telkom University Tahun 2016
Dengan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT, kami sampaikan Laporan Tahunan Telkom University Tahun 2016. Laporan Tahunan Telkom University Tahun 2016 ini berisikan data-data penyelenggaraan kegiatan akademik maupun non akademik Telkom University selama Tahun 2016 dan beberapa data yang kami sajikan merupakan kumulatif dari semua triwulan di 2016. Data akademik yang dimaksud antara lain mencakup kehadiran dosen semester ganjil 2016/2017, ketepatan pemasukan nilai semester ganjil 2016/2017, mahasiswa aktif dan turn over, data wisudawan sampai dengan periode November 2016. Data non akademik pada laporan ini antara lain mencakup Laporan Keuangan, Laporan Asset dan Logistik, Sumber Daya Manusia dan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh seluruh unit pada jajaran Rektorat, Wakil Rektor I, Wakil Rektor II, Wakil Rektor III, dan Wakil Rektor IV selama Tahun 2016. Dalam Laporan Tahunan Telkom University Tahun 2016, terdapat beberapa data yang kami bandingkan dengan Tahun 2015 sehingga dapat dilihat perkembangannya atau pertumbuhannya. Kami menyadari bahwa laporan ini masih jauh dari sempurna, oleh karena itu kritik dan saran dari semua pihak yang bersifat membangun selalu kami harapkan demi kesempurnaan laporan-laporan triwulan selanjutnya. Laporan Tahunan tahun 2016 ini berisi capaian kinerja Telkom University selama Tahun 2016. Laporan kinerja meliputi kategori : Academic Performance, Customer Focus, Learning and Growth, Internal Business Process, Financial, dan laporan capaian KM 2016 serta dokumentasi kegiatan Telkom University selama Tahun 2016. A. Academic Performance Pada umumnya di Academic Performance terjadi peningkatan kinerja yang signifikan dan selengkapnya dapat dilihat pada Tabel a. berikut yang merupakan perbandingan data statistik Academic Performance keseluruhan tahun 2016 dengan data tahun 2015.

Sampai dengan TW_IV 2016 prodi yang sudah mendapatkan akreditasi minimal B sebanyak 26 prodi (96.30%) dari total 27 prodi, terdapat 1 prodi yang mendapatkan akreditasi C yaitu D3 Perhotelan. Jumlah akreditasi A sebanyak 11 prodi (41%), akreditasi B sebanyak 15 prodi (55%) dan akreditasi C sebanyak 1 prodi (4%). B. Customer Focus Di bagian Customer Focus pada umumnya juga terjadi peningkatan kinerja yang signifikan hanya pada indikator kepuasan mahasiswa yang mengalami penurunan sebesar 3.21%. C. Learning and Growth Secara umum kinerja pada Learning and Growth juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, hanya terjadi penurunan pada pencapaian publikasi di luar terindeks Scopus / Thomson yaitu sebesar 9.45%. Hal ini dikarenakan publikasi dosen lebih diarahkan kepada publikasi yang terindeks Scopus / Thomson. Begitu pula dengan Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Penelitian yang mengalami penurunan sebesar 43.87%. Selengkapnya dapat dilihat pada Tabel c. berikut.

Students’ Masterpiece School of Creative Industries Telkom University (FIK Tel-U) staged back the exhibition of lecturers and students at the event named Collective Juncture. The exhibition was held in Indonesia Menggugat Building (GIM), at Perintis Kemerdekaan Street, Bandung. The exhibition was organized by foreign students all around the world who engaged in Darmasiswa program at Textile Craft and Fashion Studies Program FIK Telkom University on the last 1 year. The graduand are graduates of Master, Bachelor and Dipoma from seven faculties.
Last One Year, Tel-U Scholarship Reached over 10 Billion
Rupiah Rector of Telkom University (Tel-U), Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, M Eng, PhD said that the total amount of Telkom University scholarship was constantly increasing, both in the amount of funding and the students’ number targets. In the academic year 2015/2016, the nominal of scholarship has reached 10.650 billion Rupiah which awarded to 1,622 students. The nominal figure represents a growth of 110% from 5.079 billion Rupiah and 48% growth target of students as many as 1,097 students on previous academic year.

routinely held since Tel-U was established three years
ago and took place three times a year.

Interior Design Students Exhibit The Works at Beranda 2016
Students from School of Creative Industry Interior Design Telkom
University (FIK Tel-U) exhibited their work in the event of
"Beranda 2016: The 2nd Interior Design Exhibition". The event
which was held in Indonesia Menggugat Building, on Perintis
Kemerdekaan Road Bandung was lasted for two days, from April
23 to 24.
All the masterpieces displayed at Beranda was created by Interior
Design students from class of 2012 to 2014. The works shown
included two-dimensional Nirmana, three-dimensional Nirmana,
basic drawing, furniture design, and mockups.

Services
Telkom University (Tel-U) continue to improve the quality of education
facilities and library become one of the concerns. As a result, the National
Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI, red) provides an appreciation by issuing
the A accreditation for Tel-U library. It is considered based on the quality of
services, resources and supported facilities.
Tel-U Collaborated with Three Universities in Korea
Telkom University (Tel-U) interlaced the cooperation with three
universities in Korea, that is Hanyang University, Kyungdong
University, and Kyungnam University. The cooperation agreement
with Kyungnam University and Hanyang University, Telkom University
agreed to cooperate within the scope of lecturers exchange, student
exchange, double degree / Joint Degree, exchange of academic
information and publications, organization of joint research programs,
organization of joint conferences, and organizing internships industry.
Meanwhile the cooperation agreement between Telkom University
and University Kyungdong Telkom agreed to establish the Center for
Korean Language at Telkom University, double degree programs,
student exchanges and faculty exchanges.

17 Countries’ Researchers Enlivened ICoICT 2016
Approximate 244 researchers from 17 countries participated in The 4th
International Conference on Information and Communication Technology
(ICoICT 2016) held in Hotel Papandayan Bandung lasted on Wednesday
(25/5) until Friday (27/5). "From 244 submitted papers, selected 105 papers
and 95 of them were presented during the next two days," said Chairman
of the Committee ICoICT 2016, Rusmawati Yanti, PhD.

Four robotic teams from Telkom University (Tel-U) will compete at Indonesia
National Robot Contest (KRI) 2016 in Electronic Engineering Polytechnic
Institute of Surabaya on Wednesday-Saturday (1-4 / 6). Indonesian Robot
Contest (KRI) is a robotics contest which followed by a team of students
from neither public nor private institution or universities which is registered
in the Ministry for Research, Technology and Higher Education.

Regarding to increase the value of
Pulogadung industrial area in East Jakarta,
Telkom University (Tel-U) agreed to
cooperate with PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate
Pulogadung (JIEP). Cooperation approved
by signing of the MoU between the two sides
in PT JIEP, Monday (27/6).
Tel-U Claimed to Assist City and District Government Bandung
Rector of Telkom University (Tel-U), Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari M Eng,
PhD claimed ready to assist the Government of the City and County of
Bandung to resolved the various problems that exist in both these areas.
"The problem being faced by the citizens of Bandung is also our
responsibility as an educational institution. Therefore, we are ready to
help government to solve it," said Rector.
This was conveyed by the Rector before the Bandung Regent, H.

Tel-U and MMU Malaysia Strengthen Cooperation
Telkom University (Tel-U) and Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia
agreed to strengthen the cooperation. Cooperation was formally signed
by Rector of Tel-U, Prof Ir Mochamad Ashari, Meng, PhD and Rector of
MMU Prof Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, at Bangkit Building,
Thursday (21/7).
The cooperation agreed among other things includes the student
exchange, faculty exchange, joint research, joint conference, joint
publication, and academic program development.
Tel-U with ITB, UI, and Hasanuddin University Develop Smart Card
Consortium
The government through the National Research Council (DRN) continues
to encourage the formation of research consortia in the country. In addition
to supporting the accelerated development of science and technology, the
establishment of the consortium was considered very important to integrate
a variety of research had been done on their own either by universities or
other research institutions.
As a first step, the consortium involves four universities in Indonesia,
Telkom University (Tel-U), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB),
University of Indonesia (UI), and University of Hasanuddin (Unhas).

Welcoming the 3rd Anniversary of Telkom University (Tel-U), The

Tel-U Expand the Open Library for Indonesia
Telkom University (Tel-U) officially launched the open
library in the event of Telkom University Literacy Event
2016 held at the Manterawu Building, Thursday (29/9).
Open Library is annual event that aims to improve the
literacy movement in Indonesia which is also
supported by the book donation activity since the
beginning of 2016, and now its collected 13.467 books
then it will be donated to reading communities in West
Java.
Raise The Tridharma University, UNHAN
Partnering with Tel-U
Telkom University (Tel-U) and the University of Defense
(UNHAN) establisheed cooperation in order to achieve
Tridharma University. The agreement was contained in a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, M
Eng, PhD, and the Rector of the Lt. TNI I Wayan Midhio,

Recognized the Cultural Diversity through ILCF
Telkom University Language Center successfully organized the fifth
annual cultural festival events, namely the International Language &
Culture Festival (ILCF). Through the themes "Strengthening Local
Cultures through Diversity", ILCF 2016 wanted to convey that Indonesian
culture was also interesting compare with other countries and must be
preserved that can still be enjoyed by the next generation.

Again, Telkom University (Tel-U) organized large competition at national level
organized by the SEARCH Telkom University entitled The 5th Java Business
Competition (JBC).

Dozens Companies Enlivened Bandung ICT Expo and
Anja 2016
Dozens of renowned industry which has been engaged on ICT
concentration and companies that have implemented the ICT
enliven Bandung ICT Expo & ANJA 2016 held at Telkom
University Convention Hall (TUCH). The exhibition that was
lasted for three days, started on Wednesday to Friday (19-21
October 2016). This is the top event of the 3rd Anniversary
Telkom University .This event is the second times which
organized by the Tel-U after successfully held a similar event
last year. However, there is something special for this year, Tel-
U collaborate with PT Telkom Indonesia, which annually held
the National Appreciation Access Network (ANJA). That's why
this exhibition entitled Bandung ICT Expo and ANJA 2016.

Concerned about Environment
Nowadays, we are facing many challenges to the environment.
Among these are climate change and air pollution, threats to
biodiversity, pollution of the oceans, and a lot of land change
into desert.
These challenges arise because of the people who do not
understand how everything is interconnected environment. "We
have learned that if we ignore the ecology and the environment,
it could be destroyed the human life too."
It is delivered by Norway Ambassador to Indonesia Stig Traavik
in the Leader's Talk in Tokong Nanas Building Floor 8 Telkom
University (Tel-U), Thursday (27/10). Monthly event which is
organized by the International Class Academic Office (ICAO)
entitled "Growing Eco-Leadership in Educational Ecosystem for
More Sustainable Indonesia".

Sangkuriang, Kipas Budaya at Tel-U
As part of improving the culture within the academic
society, Telkom University (Tel-U) organized a house of
culture that will refer to the Corporate Culture: The
Telkom Way. The concept of aligning cultures in
corporate environments PT Telkom with Tel-U. Like a
house, with a cultural foundation – always the best and
has a philosophy to be the best – Tel-U should have a
basic confidence to always give their best. In addition Tel-
U have got to be the Star Principles by establishing three
pillars, there are Solid, Speed and Smart. As the roof,
Tel-U must acquire a Practice to be the winner on the
basis PRIME (Professionalism, Recognition of
Achievement, Integrity, Mutual Respect and
Entrepreneurship). This concept was reflected in the
Kipas Budaya Telkom University entitled Sangkuriang.

Electrical Engineering Study Program
Achieved A Accreditation
After a series of administration tests and
visitation, S1 Studies Program of Electrical
Engineering School of Electrical Engineering
Telkom University (FTE TE Prodi Tel-U) finally
managed to achieve A accreditation . The
accreditation is based on a decree of the
National Accreditation Board of Higher
Education (SK BAN-PT) No. 2249 / SK / BAN-
PT / Akred / S / X / 2016.
FIK Tel-U Held the Exhibition with Bandung Artists and
Teachers
School of Creative Industries Telkom University (FIK Tel-U) held
Exhibition with Bandung Artist and Teacher. The exhibition, which
was held at the Gallery Idealoka Telkom University Creative Center
(TUCC) from 7-10 November 2016.
The participants on this exhibition are the ones who have a dual role,
both as an artist as well as a teacher. Exhibition curator, Kiki Rizki
Soetisna said the exhibition was held to clarify the position that the
artist who is also a teacher has a dual role.
The dual role led to the artists and teacher in this exhibition "live" in
two different environments, that is art arena and the campus
environment.
Tel-U Students Must Develop Big Data to Support
Business World
The presence of Big Data in business activity into something
new and important to learn because it can help the business
process faster and more effective. Unfortunately, there is no
intensive business studies courses at university level in
Indonesia that approach Big Data with intensely methods in
the educational process or curriculum.
It was delivered in the middle of Data Science Days were held
at the Tel-U Miossu FEB starting on 9 to 10 November 2016.
The event was organized by the Business Management
Department of Telecommunications and Informatics School of
Economics and Business Telkom University (MBTI Prodi FEB
Tel -U).
Rector Invited Netizen to be More Productive Use Social
Media
Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, MEng,
PhD said that 90 percent of Internet users in Indonesia
currently use social media in digital communication. But with
that amount, the majority use it for social interaction.
This event was part of the third anniversary of Telkom
University. The event held from 23 to 24 November 2016
was attended by a number of speakers from among experts
and practitioners of communication such as Terry Flew
(Professor of Queensland University of Technology),
Setiawan Sabana (Professor of Bandung Institute of
Technology), and Loes Witteveen (Academician of Van Hall
Larenstein University).
Also present Norsiah Abdul Hamid (Academician of North
Malaysia University), Ade Irma Susanty (Academician of
Telkom University), and Dorien Kartikawangi (Perhumas
Indonesia), and the Director General for Communications
and Public Information Ministry of Communications and
Information Rosarita Niken Widiastuti.

Telkom University Inaugurated 1690 Graduands
Open Session Senate Telkom University (Tel-U) with the
agenda of the 9th graduation Master, Bachelor, and Associate
Expert Period I, Academic Year 2016/2017 was held on Friday
and Saturday (25 & 26 November 2016). The trial, which took
place at Benggala Building or Telkom University Convention
Hall (TUCH) confirmed its 1690 graduands of 27 courses,
among 31 courses in seven faculties at Telkom University.
240 Papers Presented at ICSEBS 2016
Telkom University (Tel-U) organized the International
Conference on Science, Engineering, Built Environment, and
Social Science (ICSEBS) 2016 which is held on 29-30 November
2016, at the School of Applied Sciences (FIT), Selaru Building
Tel-U. Approximate 240 papers were presented. The papers
have been selected from 327 papers which is submitted into the
committee.

Take part in the Consortium, Tel-U Ready to
Retain the Smart Card Technology
Rector of Telkom University (Tel-U), Prof. Ir Mochamad
Ashari, MEng, PhD, said that he is determined to take
control of smart card technology, ranging from the
manufacture of a card reader, to the application. "So that
we do not continue to use imported technology," he said.
This statement was conveyed by Rector at the
inauguration of Smart Campus and Smart Card
Workshop on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering,
University of Hasanuddin, Gowa, Wednesday (30/11).
Tel-U Invited Industrial Expertise to Prepare the Millennial
Generation
Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, M Eng, Ph
D invited industrial expertise to develop human resources in
order to set up the millennial generation. Thus in 2035, Indonesia
will be the country with the greatest 12th economic power in the
world.

135 Classes Enlivened the Entrepreneurship Festival 2016
Hundreds of students of Telkom University (Tel-U) who took the
course Entrepreneurship enlivened the Entrepreneurship Festival
2016. The event is the culmination of Entrepreneurship course was
held in the parking lot of Tokong Nanas Building Tel-U, Saturday
(3/12).
Tel-U Selected as Favorite University in OSC

Telkom University (Tel-U) selected as favorite university in the Online
Scholarship Competition (OSC) in 2016 organized by the ten Private
University (PTS) in cooperation with MetroTVNews.com. Tel-U won
25 percent of the total of 28 099 applicants, ie 7213 people.
Tel-U Rector, Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, MEng, PhD, expressed his
appreciation for this acquisition. According to him, the OSC
MetroTVNews.com program was very remarkable, it shows from
participants who come from all area around Indonesia.
Tel-U Undergo the BAN-PT Visitation
Since it was founded in August three years ago, Telkom University
(Tel-U) underwent Higher Education Accreditation (AIPT). As part of
the accreditation process, four assessors conducted the visitation on
Wednesday until Thursday (14-15 / 12).
The four assessors were Prof Dr. Eka Afnan Troena, SE, professor
of the University of Brawijaya (UB) Malang as team leader; Prof Dr Ir
Sahala Hutabarat, MSc, professor of the University of Diponegoro in
Semarang; Prof Ir Hadi Sutanto, MMAE, PhD, professor of the
University of Atma Jaya Jakarta; Prof Dr Muhammad Zarlis
